We selected Parkview Nursing. My friend is there for long-term care. It is wonderful. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly. They meet all my friend's needs. I have been very impressed so far. The food is fine. They have bingo, she gets rehabilitation three to five days a week (including weekends), they have a choir, and they have non-denominational church services. They do a good job.

My Dad was sent here for rehab after major surgery and being in the hospital for a month. I walked in and started to cry. The place is very old and dingy and depressing. The halls were filled with wheelchairs and carts. The rooms were not clean and there were holes in the floors, window sills, etc. The bed linens were stained and dingy. I walked around and saw rooms with 4-5 people in them only separated by a curtain. I saw random people just parked places and they didn't seem to know where they were or what was going on. My Dad was put in his bed and then left and I kept asking nurses when he would get his meds which were scheduled for that time or any sort of admission process. It felt like he was dropped there and already forgotten. We only stayed for a couple hours before I packed my Dad up and brought him home. I would rather struggle to care for him there than leave him there for one second longer. I would NEVER let anyone I know go here. I would give it 0 stars if that was an option.

My husband right now is at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. The staff is wonderful, but with regards to the impression of the facility it's hard to say because it's my first time being in this facility. To me it's depressing, but I don’t know if that would be any different in any place else. They have plenty of activities going, but he does not participate in any of them. The rooms are very clean, but they are old. The facility is old., but the food is very good. They don’t give an abundant amount so that you are not overwhelmed with the amount. So far my husband has been able to eat everything that is on the plate. The dining room is big and they are encouraged to go there, but it's dated; the whole place is old. As far as I can tell, the staff is wonderful with him and very helpful.
