We had my 85 year old mother in Millcroft's short term rehab after being discharged from spending nearly 3 weeks in the hospital. She needed PT/OT in hopes of getting her back to living alone. The entire staff were so helpful, kind and knowledgeable it ended up being a very positive experience for both my mother and us. Their staff WORK hard at what they do and the results show. My thanks and appreciation go out to all the staff members. This was a great experience; THANK YOU ALL!!

We toured Millcroft Living. It was excellent. The staff was excellent. They were very spacious. They were very luxurious, but we couldn't afford them, so we moved on. They had a lot of activities for the elders. They showed us around. They had a little lounge and a little happy hour area. They had a communal area where everyone could be together. It was a beautiful place.

Millcroft health care is struggling to be a great place for long term needs. Most aides and some nurses are there only for a paycheck. It shows if the staff doesn’t like you or your family member.

I went to look at Millcroft Living, and it's quite nice. The facility was beautiful. The apartments were beautiful. They weren't furnished. It was clean, spacious, sunny, and bright. They had a refrigerator and a stove. It was a fully equipped kitchen in terms of facilities. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. But I had the definite feeling that I wasn't the person that she would choose to be there. There weren't enough parking spaces.

We toured Millcroft Living. We like the fact that they provide meals and all the amenities that my parents would need. The staff were very friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. Some of the hallways were very narrow, so it was hard for my mother, who has a wheelchair. They have a salon and a courtyard. They have a lot of activities. They have like common meeting areas.

We're leaning towards Millcroft Living. From the ones we looked at so far, that was the best one. The feel of the place and the staff we talked to was better than in other places. The residents seemed to be in good spirits, and that's one of the main things. Also, the layout was just a little more homey-feeling. The staff who gave me the tour was very good. She was very personable, and she gave us a good tour. It's a fairly extensive tour; we got to see quite a bit. The rooms were clean, and the closets were big. They're fairly large; they're fairly good size rooms. The closets were big, and the bathroom was nice. They have happy hour, they have a movie night, and they have a shuttle bus where they go out and do things once in a while. There was a couple of bridge tables going. The surroundings were a very pleasant area; it's kind of a little bit more in the country.

Millcroft Living was nice. The lady who helped me was very pleasant, helpful, cordial, and informative. I saw the activities room that had movies, games, arts, and crafts. The rooms were very small. I'm just comparing it to where my mom is now, and it just didn't measure up to the same aesthetic of the place.

I have nothing but good things to say about Millcroft. The apartment was rather small, but the apartment was certainly larger and adequate. The building was newer, and although I didn't talk to a lot of the staff, they seemed very helpful, very efficient, and pleasant. The premises were actually lovely. They have a decent gym, a library, and they provide the meals. The lady mentioned that you had a choice of two meals for lunch and dinner. If neither one of them are suitable, there's a set menu that you can always choose from. Breakfast was like a self-serve buffet. As far as entertainment, they had a happy hour on Fridays. So, it seemed like something really, really nice.

I know Millcroft because I visited someone weekly there through church before Covid. I have been in their dining room and I have eaten there with the person I visited. Everything was very comfortable. Their independent room happened to be a 2-bedroom, and it was very spacious. The dining room was very elegant, and the food was nutritious and tasty. The staff was very nice.

Millcroft took very good care of my friend. We were very disappointed with the food. We told them my friend didn't like any kind of seafood, and yet she would continually be given tuna fish sandwiches for lunch. We also told them that she didn't like peas, but they'd still give her those on her dinner plate as well as split pea soup. They'd also give her canned fruit as opposed to fresh fruit for breakfast.

We saw Millcroft. Out of all the ones that we visited, my parents did like this place the best. There was enough room, and they have laundry where they need it. The location is good. It was clean, and the people were nice. It was also in their price range.

I really liked Millcroft. They showed me the open places and gave me a tour of the facility. They have a place for people that need more assisted living and a place for people that can live on their own. Right now, my parents are OK to live on their own. They just need somebody to help fix meals and check to make sure that they're OK. It offers two-week respite instead of having to be there for a month. They have a lot of activities and were geared more to the needs of my parents, so I really enjoyed that place. It looks like one I would probably use.

Millcroft is a very nice facility. The room I was in was very nice. The staff who took care of me was very nice, too. I told them I will be back to live in this facility because I was just there for rehabilitation for a while. The food they serve is OK but not great. I play cards and join in on the other activities. They can improve on the quality of their food.

I went to Millcroft. It was very good. The people were very nice. They took the time to give us a tour and answer our questions. They still contact me every once in a while to see how I’m doing and if my needs have changed. The community was very nice. It was very well-kept and clean. It was also quiet. There was a calendar of activities. There was one posted in the elevator and one posted in the lobby. They had a community room, too. When we were there, there was entertainment going on. They would bring in entertainment every once in a while. They also had someone telling stories. The unit that we toured had been renovated, and it was very nice. It was clean and quite large. They had different room sizes and different prices.

My Sister and I toured millcroft, we heard good things from friends in the neighborhood. We toured the independent side and the assisted living side. The independent has very large apartments, compared to the assisted living side. The smaller of the two sizes, where about the size of a large closet. Only enough room for a twin bed, night stand and a TV stand with TV. Plus the price without levels of care start at $6500 a month. The second size was almost 3 times larger with a nice walk-in closet, with the cost of $8700, not including care. The prices listed on caring.com, are for the independent side, not the assisted living side. It did have a nice feature, that all levels where under one roof. We did notice that the front desk person and several other workers eating lunch in the patient area near the bar area. During the tour, they where very loud and my sister heard one of them curse. Other then the price, size of the apartments. It might be a good fit for someone, just not ours.

My son and I visited Millcroft, and he really liked the place. He liked the way that there are three different levels of care. I saw that the staff did very well with the residents, and their management was good. I saw the rooms, and they were very nice and clean. They have a nice little outdoor area for them to sit also. The dining room is very clean and very nice.

My dad likes Millcroft, and I actually love the place, the environment, the staff, and the cleanliness of the place. His room is really nice. I haven’t tried the food, but he seems to like it. He only does physical therapy.

We had a brief experience with Millcroft nursing home. Our experience there was not very positive. After my mom was there for two nights, we pulled her out of there because she wasn’t getting any attention. She was getting her medications. The staff was not very pleasant, so it was not a good experience. I thought it was very dirty, it was very noisy, and there were a lot of people in the hallways screaming and yelling; it wasn’t very pleasant. The room was dark, and we weren’t there very long, but it didn’t have what we needed. It seemed like they were understaffed, and people were just kind of left on their own or pushed out into the hallway.

The staff who deals directly with my family member are excellent. The kitchen staff does a wonderful job with meal preparation and the food is very good. However, when it comes to communication regarding private pay, billing, medicare and medicaid issues everything breaks down. I have been waiting over two weeks now to get answers to questions I posed both over the phone and email with still no response. There have also been several breakdowns in communication with regard to the 1st floor nursing station. A better job needs to be done regarding communication with families with regard to these issues. Their lack of communication leads one to believe Millcroft is solely interested in private pay for profit.
Provider Response
Thank you so much for your feedback and for discussing your concerns with me during our recent phone conversation. I hope that I have helped clear up your questions in regards to billing. I also hope that I provided helpful information for future concerns. I am very happy to hear all the positive comments about the care and concern we provide your mother-in-law. Please feel free to reach out to me any time you feel the need. Thank you for the opportunity to care for your loved one and giving us an opportunity to serve you!

My brother and I stopped in for a tour, no appointment as most communities require. But, when we spoke with Joe, he said that he was available during the day and evening hours and that there were managers on duty that would be glad to give us a tour as well. The front desk person Kathy, was very welcoming, she offer us coffee and a brochure while we filled out information. Joe was just finishing up with another tour, when he introduced himself and his co-worker who was the assistant executive director. Joe was great, offering us water or coffee. He really did a great job with sharing information about Millcroft. Giving the benefits of why our Mom would love to live at his community. He spoke to us more as a friend, then someone trying to sell us something. We toured both the independent and assisted living. Independent had some great closets (walk-in), they had one and two bedroom apartment, only one available was a two bedroom with a patio, but they might have a one bedroom open by the end of next month. They have a waiting list for there independent apartments. The assisted living has a more home like setting, there was only 26 apartments, Joe says that they have a great staff to resident care numbers, plus there is a nurse available if needed. The residents when at a birthday party with entertainment, they all seem to really enjoy themselves. We really liked the outdoor patio that any of the residents at Millcroft could go out and enjoy. We were sold on Millcroft, but especially Joe and the information that we didn't know about veterans aide and attendance program, as well as Mom's long term care policy that could be used when she goes into assisted living. Needless to say, we put a deposit down and Mom is moving in by the end of the month.

We liked the rooms that were available at Millcroft. We liked the fact that it had independent, assisted, and skilled nursing. We liked the fact that therapy was on-site. We happened to have a different meal there. It was their Continental breakfast. They had good food choices for the residents. It was just a little less social for what I was looking for for my dad. They had activities, but they just didn't seem to be as much. The staff was very knowledgeable. If they weren't sure about something they promised to get back to us, and they did.

We moved Mom into independent living at Millcroft. The only thing she took advantage of there was the meals. She was happy with the meals. They'd bring meals into her room, so we were very pleased with that. We felt that they took good care of her when she didn't feel well. She continued her rehab there also, because there's a rehab facility. She was able to do another three weeks of rehab, so that was very good for her. The staff was very caring. They continued to ask us if there was anything that they could do to make her stay better. They went out of their way to make her happy. She possibly would have stayed, but it is expensive and I think the cost was a major concern of hers. We had no complaints about any of the physical part of the facility. I thought it was nicely cleaned and kept up. She didn't take part in the activities, but they did have a number of activities she could have taken part of. I give it a high rating. I thought they did a nice job.

Millcroft was very nice. It seemed a little bit older, but I thought the apartments for the independent living were more spacious than most of the others in the same price range, so that was a very positive thing. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and nice. It was all very positive, actually. The areas for the public were maybe a little smaller. It was very impressive. It was more homelike, I think, than some of the other apartments of other facilities where they seem to be just more like little studios. This was more like a little regular one or 2-bedroom apartment. They have a lot of activities. They also have movies and a library. I like that the halls and the apartments were really pretty and spacious.

We toured this community over the weekend, it was perfect for our parents. We were looking for a place that when they needed more care it was available to them. They are more independent, Dad drives and Mom only needs a care. But, if Mom or Dad needed more care say after a fall or they had a car accident, they could go to the rehab center on the same property. We checked other senior communities, none of them had a rehab or a nursing site on their properties. Almost of the other Independent and Assisted Living communities when asked the question of what would happen if say Dad went into the hospital and needed a nursing home, were would they go. All of them didn't want to talk about that, saying lets not talk about that if it's not going to happen. Well, we are thinking ahead for our parent's future. When pushed the other senior communities said "Millcroft". That's why our parents will be moving into this senior community.
Provider Response
Thank you very much for your review of our community. Millcroft has been serving seniors for 31 years with a commitment to providing quality care and services to our residents across the continuum. Throughout the years, many of our residents have been able to transition from one area to another while staying under one roof. Again thank you for sharing your comments about our community.

Millcroft is beautiful! I'd say one of the best. It was very nice and very clean. The only problem was that it was too expensive, way over a normal person's budget. All the rooms were very nice. The dining room and the facilities were very clean. I hadn't seen any of them that were not suitable to live in.

I visited Millcroft when my mom was receiving rehabilitation. It is very nice clean, and spacious. The nurses are very nice and they have a good staff. The food is good. The rooms where the people stay are very nice. They're clean and they keep them up. It's two people to a room and there's a good amount of space for each person. There's access to other rooms such as a dining room and a physical therapy room. I would say it's a very nice place. It's a clinical environment, but it seemed very nice to me. My mother was very well attended to. The doctors, the nurses, and the aides took good care of her. When I was visiting her, at least two or three people popped in to see how she was doing. They will be moving into the Millcroft Assisted Living apartments.

The facility was a generally beautiful place compared to some of the other nursing homes that I have seen. Most of the staff was generally friendly some of them just did'nt seem willing to talk to people like they were just there to get paid but aside from the few that I happened to walk past that looked a little down the ones that I actually had conversations with regarding the care of my loved one, they were extremely friendly and helpful.
