Lodge Lane was beautiful, but they did not have independent living. They only had assisted living, which was not what I was looking for. The facility was small, new, friendly, and stellar. Everything looked very easy to traverse, especially for older people who may need a little help now and then getting around. It was big, open, and well lit. The rooms I visited were quite nice and seemed quite comfortable.

Lodge Lane Assisted Living had everything we needed, and they had memory care. Their rates were reasonable, and they're all one price; it was new-ish and modern, rooms were large, and the location was correct. My mom is in memory care, and there are plenty of doctor's offices in the area.

I have a family member staying here and I can tell you in the Memory Care Unit the food is cold and its the same thing day in day out. The staff should be making sure the residents are eating and they are more concerned with themselves. The lack of care for these individuals is quite apparent. These are individuals who do need more assistants and you pay for it but you don't see it. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

All I can say is that in the memory care unit breakfast consists of cold watery scrambled eggs, hard pre frozen french toast sticks, and tater tots....day after day! It is smoke and mirrors! Yes you can ask dor something, but do you think that a person with dementia will ask for something....or not eat?

My parents moved into Lodge Lane and it's an excellent facility. It was only built and started up last year. The staff is outstanding. They go above and beyond. Their food is very good and they have a chef prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My parents are very pleased of the facility. Unfortunately my mom passed away few weeks ago, but my dad is still living there. With their food, my parents had the option of choosing what they wanted. When my mom passed away, they were there helping me and my sister. Dad has Alzheimer's and he is now on the memory section and they make sure he gets up in the morning, he gets stretched, takes showers, they give him his medication. They have events that they go to and activities that they do. There is always something going on. Putting them on the facility, we are not worried because we know everything is being taken care of the right way.

Our mother moved into Lodge Lane Assisted Living Facility last month and we are all happy, because she is so happy living there. Lodge Lane is not only luxurious, but it is also quite affordable a major factor which pleasantly surprised us all. The staff is very caring, attentive, and genuinely nice which makes everyone sleep well at night knowing the care that our mother gets is so wonderful and sincere. We have been looking for an assisted living facility in the tri-state area for awhile and were so relieved when we found Lodge Lane for our mother to move into. Her studio apartment is quite large with a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink along one wall with cabinets. The bathroom is large and roomy enough for her to use either her wheelchair or walker to move around in and get done what she needs to do. Looking out her window on the beautiful courtyard patios is almost like a picture and she enjoys the view with the scenery. At the end of each hallway is a large beautiful lounge sitting area with couches, chairs and tables plus an elevator so residents don't have to walk too far from their apartments to access an elevator to go anywhere. Our mother decided for the Non-Kosher meal plan as she enjoys eating shrimp and crab. The food is absolutely delicious as she has enjoyed meals such as sirloin steak, salmon, duck, cornish game hen, and lamb chops to name a few. She likes that she is asked what she would like eat and given a choice for her meals at breakfast, lunch, and dinner and not to circle it on a menu like in a hospital or an institution. There is also a dining room where we can all sit down and eat with her when we bring her favorite sandwiches Philly Cheesesteaks and Subway. There is a Deli there that is open to the public as well as for the residents 3 days a week and people come from all over for their lunch, dinner, and breakfast that they serve. What is nice are the activities that the residents can partake in if they care too and most do as the staff is very engaging and make it interesting, enjoyable, and fun. The Media Room has armchair aerobics during the morning and movie nights during the week with ice cream afterwards. There is a hair salon where both men and women can get their hair done along with manicures and pedicures if they choose. Physical Therapy is a must have for our mother and she is progressing and doing so well. The other residents at Lodge Lane have been very welcoming and friendly and are all so nice, engaging, and helpful with one another. We all are as comfortable and sleeping as well as our mother at night knowing she is happy living where she is with the care she is getting at Lodge Lane. Pam R., Admissions Director head of marketing for Lodge Lane, was so patient and wonderful answering every question we had. Pam gave us a fabulous tour of the Lodge Lane facility and afterwards we all decided that this was the place for our mother to move into. Thank you very much Pam and thank you Lodge Lane.

I like Lodge Lane. Because it was brand new, it was not overcrowded. It was all-inclusive also. It was a Jewish community. We're not Jewish, so that might hold it back a little. It was absolutely immaculate there. It looked like you were in a 5-star hotel. They had kosher kitchens and regular kitchens. They were really working to bring just the finest they could to Lodge Lane. They had 17 rooms in memory care. Very well-maintained, lovely rooms. When we visited, there were three residents in the memory care, so you were getting exceptional care because they actually have more staff than they did residents. Even in their retirement community, they had a lot of staff. The staff was very kind. The residents there were very well-dressed. It was more of a hotel feeling, so I found it very inviting. The only drawback I see with that is, because it had that hotel kind of feeling, somebody with memory problems may have been a little confused because the hallways all look the same. My mom would not have liked to have been that lonely. She does much better with a little bit more activity going on around her.

Mother has been in Lodge Lane for a week now. It's a brand new facility in Delaware so they're fully staffed but they don't have all the people in there yet. She speaks more Ukrainian and we couldn't find anybody that speaks the language. They are new and fully staffed, it's almost like a 2:1 like while she gets through the initial shock of being somewhere else and it is proving wonderful. She feels safe because there are young people around to help her if she needs it. They're so nice and they're not loud. It was like night and day between the nurse who comes out and assesses her versus the head nurse. The other nurse was always behind the desk doing paperwork and doesn't talk to my mother. She was only concerned with deficiencies and pulling off the paperwork. The head nurse was amazing. Never once was I included in the conversation because she was all about my mom. She's still like that and all the staff is taking their cues from her. She made me feel like they're going to take care of her no matter what because they were so engaged. The food is wonderful and incredible. They not only have deli but food and their portions are very generous. It was best to just put the food out for my mom versus asking her because she doesn't really understand baked, broiled or fried but they quickly adjusted and know that that is what she will eat like a second intuition.
