What appeals to me about The Summit is that it's about 10 minutes from where I live. It's a relatively new place. It is very nice. I know a woman who lives there. So my friends and I went there and we saw a lot of what there was to see. It wasn't just a tour. I spent time with my friends there. The staff are okay, but nothing stands out. The rooms are nice. They have good activities. They have interesting trips, films, and lectures. They have a library and a beauty salon. My friends thought that's where I should go until we went to the other place. It's very well located if you're giving up driving because the supermarket is a few blocks away, the churches are all around, and different kinds of restaurants are available. It's very good. You don't have to drive miles and miles. They have nice balconies. I went to a Christmas party, and I think everyone who lives there liked it.

I toured The Summit. The apartment was spacious. It looked clean. The people looked content, like they were satisfied to be there. I saw the dining room. They had a nice upstairs porch that you could sit on.

Out of all the facilities we toured, it's often hard to come up with the huge amount of money that is required to move in, and The Summit is the only one who said that they would rather work with us financially than to turn my parents away. My parents are moving into their assisted living. The one that they're moving into is a one-bedroom. They provide sheets and towels for them. Laundry is done once a week. Housekeeping comes twice a week. Garbage is done every day. My parents have the option of doing their own laundry or having somebody do their laundry for them. Their room has a full-sized refrigerator and a microwave. The staff member was great. She was very informative. I would recommend the place. It's very clean.

I toured the independent living and assisted living of The Summit. In the independent living they had beautiful facilities, a little movie theater, a hairdresser, a beautiful gym, and really nice accommodations and activities. But then if a person needs to go from independent living to assisted living, they can't use any of those facilities. They have a multipurpose room where they roll in a big-screen TV for movie night. They roll in some exercise balls and some hula hoops for exercise, and I just don't understand why they couldn't all use the same facility; it wasn't like they were in a memory care unit. I talked to a couple of other families who were looking, and they were also really turned off by that. If my mother needed to go from independent to assisted, she'd be wondering why she couldn't go to the nice gym anymore and use the movie theater or whatever, and I just thought that I didn't like that. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, but they just showed me assisted living, and then I had to ask to see independent living. I feel like if I hadn't asked for that, then they might not have shown me. It's a brand-new facility. It's absolutely beautiful, and had they offered the same level of facilities for everybody, that would have definitely been up there with my number-one choice, but they didn't and I took them off my list.

We saw assisted and independent at The Summit. It's a newer facility than others, so it's a little bit more modern. The amenities were a little bit more modern as well. It's airy, there's a lot of light, and just structurally it seemed to be a better facility. They had a lot of activities for the residents. I was pretty impressed. It was just very pricy. The staff seemed pretty nice.

The Summit is new, brighter than other places, and a little more suitable for living. Everything looked OK there. It was favorable and cheery looking. Someone identified themselves and asked if they could help us right away. The staff member who gave us the tour was very helpful, knowledgeable, and had been in the business for a while. There were some people playing cards and some residents were out walking around. The dining area looked clean and bright.

The Summit was a new place, and there's no buy-in. They had quite a few activities, and they had some things going on for Christmas. They have a fitness center and a therapy room, but I didn't think they had enough. The rooms were very spacious. If you go from independent to assisted living, you move in to a smaller place, and the different kinds of care are segregated.

The Summit was fairly new and huge. It's beautiful and gorgeous and offers everything that I need, like meals and cleaning. The staff was wonderful and nice. The residents all looked like nice people and spoke to strangers. It was a nice experience, and if I could afford it, I'd be there. It's wonderful, and everything's good.

We saw The Summit, which would be second on our list. It was a bit expensive but very new and had a lot of activities and everything. It is a little bit out of my parents' way.

The Summit is brand new. Everything is very open and very light. It has a lot of windows. It is very nicely decorated. The dining area has a number of windows too and very bright. The rooms are very light, bright and in good size with high ceilings. They have a small van so they do shopping and excursions periodically. They also have bingo, periodically, they have entertainers come in with music and other things my mother will be interested in. It is in a residential neighborhood. We talk mostly to the marketing director, but as we go around, she introduces us several aides and nurses. They all seem very friendly. They all know the residents names. I will recommend them to others.
