If you have any love for your relative, DO NOT send them here. My grandma was admitted after breaking her leg and they did not take care of her at all and actually DROPPED her. To paint a picture at how poor this place is, the nurses write down their notes on NAPKINS instead of notepads. None of the nurses want to be there (except Doddy, she's a real one) and there were stains on the bed.

My mom was just there for a few weeks. The aides were great but the nurses were never around. My mom's back in the hospital with an infection durle to theirlack of care. She will never go to this place ever again. We don't recommend it to anyone...

My mom was here for short term rehabilitation after being hospitalized for three weeks. I was with her upon being transferred from Bridgeport Hospital (which by the way was fantastic, nursing and staff could not have been better or more upbeat and positive). Unfortunately Lord Chamberlain was a slap in the face. There was no one that welcomed my mom (apparently we were between shifts). The room was awful and dirty. I have photos to back it up. I will say that once my family made our disappointment known they immediately took out the furniture washed and rewaxed floors, washed the mold from the ceiling vent, and replaced the ripped recliner...however we should not have had to bring that to their attention and I should not have been horrified that my 85 year old mother was brought into such a substandard room. Staff was not happy and welcoming. My mother's medication was not available. We notified nurse that her colostomy bag needed to be emptied, neither my mom or I knew how to do so as it was a new reality from her hospitalization, the nurse made us wait over 30 minutes after being notified twice that it looked like it was ready to explode but she felt no urgency and my mom was humiliated when she was covered with poop. I wonder what would have happened had I not been there. I was there and asked for the nurse's assistance and still my mom was subjected to this unnecessary humiliation. The food is poor and of institutional quality served cold with stamped out metal fork and spoon and a plastic knife worthy of a prison. While the upper staff responded immediately and with concern to complaints, it should not take complaints to remedy obvious failings. Why medicare.gov rates this as a 4 star facility is beyond my comprehension. Giving it a rating of 3 is generous on my account. I would be remiss if I did not recognize that there are loving and caring employees but they are too few for me to ever send my mother to this facility again if she was in need of rehabilitation services. In addition the facility is worn and feels institutional. A thumbs down.

Extremely poor and unprofessional care given to resident /patients on medicare and medicaid. I am appalled and extremely disappointed with this facility.

I didn't like that place too much. All I would say about Lord Chamberlain is that the professionalism is not good. Some of the nursing aides were fine, but the people who run that place were not very professional. A lot of people assisted me in that facility. The rooms were small, but neat. Activities -- that's an area that I think that they were deficient. They were more concerned about having somebody fall and getting a lawsuit than they are taking care of the patients and getting them back up and operating again. There's nothing that is impressive. It's hard for the lower people like the nursing aides to do well because they're under the supervision of the professionals who are very unprofessional. They probably have the same problem we had as the clients.

Mom’s been living in Lord Chamberlain since August. We chose it for the nursing staff, the aides and the cleanliness. You don’t feel that you’re walking into a convalescent home. The place is just phenomenal. They provided excellent care, they were very caring and they were sympathetic. They really listen to the family needs too. They really get the people involved and they get them up and out of bed. Her room is cheery so that helps. They do Bingo, they have people come in and sing. They bring in church services and make sure that they do special things on holidays. My mother enjoys the food. They provide a nice selection but I haven’t eaten there.

The staff of Lord Chamberlain was wonderful to my grandfather. He was very disappointed to have to go to a facility before returning home after a fall. However, the caregivers at Lord Chamberlain took extra special care of him! I cannot thank them enough!

The rooms in Lord Chamberlain were kind of small and the facility was in an industrial area. We weren't really happy with them. They weren't really helpful because as soon as they found out that my mother didn't have a substantial amount of money, they just cut us right out and turned us away.

Lord Chamberlain was a good rehab facility; however, they had some communication problems between the nurses and the aides, etc. Seasonally, the aides did things differently and it got my mom confused many times. They could improve on this and set standardization on how they care for their residents.

I went to this place because my friend was in an accident. He fell on the bleachers and injured his head. The place was really far from where I live but I went with a few friends. It was my first time going to a place like this. I thought the smell was gonna be like old people. It did not smell bad. My friend said the food was good and he really liked the rehab he was getting. He said the staff really worked him hard and he feels like he can soon go back home. Also they have a lot of outings they go to each week. I was surprised to see so many young people there as well. The place looked like it could also be a good place to work. All the workers were very friendly and act like a family. They bring in home cooked meals to share with the people. My friend said he really liked one of the workers homeade chocolate cookies. My friend gets up every morning to eat breakfast with the other people. He said if it wasn't for a few people his age at the place he probably would be kind of depressed. I guess a lot of young people these days have freak accidents But thank GOD for a place like this where they can go to get therapy and get back to a normal way of life. He cant wait to get back to the dorms and be like we were before. He said he will go back to visit the workers once he is released because he will miss them. I can see how he will. They are all so nice even to the visitors.

I visited this facility to visit a patient who was injured in an accident , my first impression driving into the parking lot was nice place, nice area nice property, and the grounds were well taken care of.Entering the building I noticed the place was very clean, and the faculty were very pleasant, they were prompt and curteous. The directions to the room were easy, and direct taking me easily to the room.Once entering the room i was happy with the rooms cleanliness and the staffs care of the patient i was visiting, she was also happy with the expierience.I would reccommended this facility to anyone in need of care.My overall thought of this facility is a four out of 5 stars.
