I am delighted with the care that was given to my mother, and so was she! The staff is amiable and helpful. We love the residents here too! I want to thank everyone here including the social worker, for the patience and amazing care they had given my mother!

First of all the rooms were very dirty my mother's bed had holes in it it took them 6 months to change the mattress her phone never worked they have one housekeeper for the whole first floor she never cleaned the bathroom or put bags in the garbage cans I would have to come in and clean her room daily. Now about the food they fed her chicken six times a week that's if she even got it many times I found my mother's food on the cart and brought it into her she was starving because they never brought her food to her I had to bring her food three times a week or more. The interaction with staff the AIDES were amazing especially dee and Odyssey and the nurses were good but physical therapy refused to do any work with my mother they said she was non-compliant after she got c diff from all the bad training in the facility. they didn't get her up for seven months and social services was a joke never even heard from her or she would talk about things said no business saying cuz she's not a doctor nor a nurse everyday I went to see my mother there were people out front drinking liquor smoking crack and this is right outside their gate inside the facility there was residence's living on the third floor who asked me for money everyday for liquor and also I found strange men in my mother's room many of times this place is the pits the CNA that work there ARE OVERWORKED AND UNDERSTAFFED very very nice to their patients and to the families it's just a shame that they are treated like that. and the nurses were very helpful and very kind to my mom and me. Todd from physical therapy was very rude he never tried to help me or my mother all he said was she was non complyable but when I was there and told him to come to the room my mom got up and walked but when I wasn't there he did nothing nor did his staff. .now she's been home for a week and physical therapy has come here and he was able to get her up and get her walking down the hall God bless him which she was doing before she went to advance but advance made her a cripple and then she fell out of the bed and broke her hip and leg I wonder how that happened. I was told by Yale that she needed to go to advance because it had the best rehabilitation center in the state and from the second my mother got there she was never ever taken care of by physical therapy. Again I want to thank the nurses I want to thank all the AIDS even the kitchen staff are working so hard and the girl and guys at the front reception desk when you come in but you need to work on other things in that facility because the only day it was sparkling clean was the day administration was there.

I was very pleased with the services provided for my loved one at this facility, administrator, and the medical team they’re really go out of their way for the residence above and beyond, they have a beautiful state of the art rehabilitation room, where residents can take part I’m getting the right we have a need so they can go home. The rooms are beautiful and brand new, we have any amazing recreation team that keeps the residence busy and fulfilled, they are right down the block from yale hospital which makes it convenient in case of an emergency.

Not very helpful about rehab don’t check on patients regularly give that medication and don’t follow up with her if they need any of them or not don’t clean regularly the food is worse than jail food and any number that you call in there from administration down does not answer their phone and doesn’t return your phone calls
very disappointed daughter

Since I have been here the first floor staff has been great. They helped me with my ADL's. The nurses on the first floor were excellent (all shifts). I am now on the second floor and the staff is also great! They help with phone call and all the staff have been very supportive and patient. The therapy staff was excellent and I will come back if I need short-term rehab again.

I have been a resident at Advanced Center for Nursing for almost 3 weeks and thanks to all staff, I am ready to go home. Nursing was great, they were on time with my medication and made me feel that that they truly wanted to care for me. The Therapy crew are Outstanding! I wouldn’t ask for any other therapy staff, other than the Advanced staff. The Social Work Department were available to answer any questions I had at all times. The Dietary Department followed up at most times, but I have to say there should be more menu choices. The Recreation staff kept me entertained with activities, filled with fun! I would like to recognize staff members Myra, Irene, and Sheila. I would definitely return for short term rehab if needed and will recommend friends and family as I have been treated very well my entire stay. Love you guys!

My overall experience has been good.I love the private room and it’s aesthetics. The nursing staff is great, Jeannette&Juan are very attentive.Therapy, social work, and recreation have been awesome to work with! Alot of programs here which made this place so much fun. Erin&Tina from recreation have gone above and beyond to keep me motivated and busy. I would return to Advanced Center if needed. I do have to say that I think that the food menu has to change,a lack of choices could affect anyone’s mood.

I would recognize Jean at Advanced Center for Nursing and Rehab as a wonderful nurse and a wonderful person in general. It was a blessing for me to recuperate at this facility and a blessing to have this compassionate person as my nurse during my stay over there.

My wife is in Jewish Home for Parkinson's disease, and she has been in there for 17 years. I visit her once a week, and she is gradually deteriorating over the years to the point now where she is paralyzed and cannot talk, and I find the place to be very good in terms of the care they give her. The doctors that take care of her and the nurses are friendly and competent. And when I go there, it is clean, they feed her properly, and she is taken care of as well as I think she should be. I have had a little sandwich or something, but I don't eat there. It is not a fancy dining room; it is just a little cafeteria. My wife has a private room with a bed and a bathroom, and the room is adequate. They have a nice outdoor area, and when patients are able to walk, they can go there. They have a meeting where the patients are able to talk to each other. It is a full-scale nursing home at all levels. My wife has been there for a long time, and as far as I am concerned, she has adequate care. I would recommend it. They have good security. It is not in a great neighborhood, but I never heard of any problems. They have a secure parking area where my car is safe. I don't have any problems with security.
