My mother moved into Masonicare at Mystic. Everyone's friendly and professional. It's reasonably priced. The facilities are gorgeous. They have a full calendar of activities. They have chair yoga, a saltwater pool, a movie theater, happy hour in their pub, and a nice shop where you can pick up basic necessities. My mom's very pleased. She gets one meal a day. She gets dinner every day and for the rest she's on her own. It's nonprofit, so their rates are much lower than in other places.

We toured Masonicare at Mystic. To us, their common areas were large, but they had more like an institution kind of feel to them, not a homey feel. And so for somebody with memory care, there's something about it that's not a right fit, at least for our mom. We weren't too thrilled with the staff. We didn't see that many of them, but they weren't that out there. We didn't get to try the food there, but we were there at lunch and it looked OK. The cleanliness and maintenance of the facility itself looked OK. Everything's brand new there, it's just that the rooms were more like a common hospital room and not homey. Their memory area was like a circle, so the residents didn't get lost, and that was nice. It isn't what we were looking for, but for somebody that's looking for something that's on a larger scale. One thing that was nice about it was that the lighting is very bright. So that's kind of nice, especially when you're looking for somebody that has dementia.

Masonicare at Mystic was a huge place, and it was nice enough. It's located in a reasonable walking distance of the tourist area, Old Mystic Village, so it's nice. They're also not far from downtown Mystic; it's a five-minute drive, that's an advantage, and they're right on top of McQuade's, and McQuade's is a kind of semi-gourmet food market. The staff was very effective in showing people around, they charged me for the lunch, the size was rather impressive, and the parking was very good.

Entire HR staff continually offers immediate help and answers to situations that have, are happening, or future situations that might need preventative measures. All dinning staff members are first rate. Immediately inform them when a special type diet is required. They immediately work with you. Transportation and maintenance are extremely helpful when required. All Masonicare employees go above and beyond their job descriptions to provide care and guidance constantly.

We went to Masonicare at Mystic. It was a wonderful facility. I didn't see anything wrong with it at all, but it was the distance from the children that kept us away from there. The staff was wonderful, the facility was still brand new, and the rooms were well thought out and well planned. They have an indoor swimming pool, so I was impressed. They also have aerobics classes there. I was impressed with the tour.

My father-in-law is in Masonicare at Mystic. It's been great so far and he loves it. They're very nice and very helpful. I would definitely recommend them. It has independent and assisted living facilities. His room is very beautiful. They have different room sizes, one-bedrooms, studios, and two-bedrooms with appliances, and they're all very nice. He said the food is good. The dining area is large, very nice, and updated. It's a very new facility, so everything is very new and updated. They have transportation, a pool table, a pool, they play bingo, and go on outings.

Masonicare at Mystic was the best value among the places I visited. The rooms had an open layout with a kitchen in the corner and an island that comes around where the ref and the sink are. There was a utility room right in the apartment with the washer and dryer. There was also a microwave and a dishwasher. The size of the bedroom was 12 by 12, which was pretty good. There was a walk-in bath and shower. They have a pub, three dining rooms, an indoor saltwater swimming pool, Bingo, card games, movies, and all kinds of entertainment. The staff was very knowledgeable, very pleasant, and they tried to do their best for their residents. The people who served the lunch were very good. The food was excellent too.

Masonicare (Masonicare At Mystic) is a very friendly, brand-new place. The rooms are brand new. They have a library, a pool, and some nice areas to eat. The food is excellent. The staff is great. Because the community isn't at 50% capacity, they wait on you hand and food. They are a very professional and very kind group of people.
