Having lived at Cedar Woods for over two years, I can confidently say it feels like home. The community here is truly amazing everyone is friendly and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that makes daily life enjoyable. The kitchen staff consistently provide delicious meals, and the office staff is always ready to assist with any questions or needs I have. Their helpfulness really enhances the experience of living here. I've made countless friends during my time here, and the sense of camaraderie is unmatched. I appreciate the opportunities to engage in activities like setting up mass with Father Michael and participating in the garden club, which allows me to express my love for gardening. Additionally, I enjoy having the freedom to furnish my apartment as I like, and it’s great to have my plants with me. My bingo team adds to the fun and sense of community. Overall, I feel truly happy and blessed to call Cedar Woods my home

I have lived at Cedar Woods for a year, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. The staff here are professional, friendly, and always willing to assist whenever needed. The residents are wonderful, and it truly feels like a tight-knit community. The building is well-maintained, and the high standards of care are always evident. The food is good, and the overall atmosphere makes it a great place to live. I love living here and highly recommend Cedar Woods to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming environment.

I toured Holiday Cedar Woods. It was nice. It's a little bit dated, but I think they said that they have some renovations planned. The laundry room, the facility seems pretty small. The location is very nice. It's very close to town. My dad would be able to walk to the library and restaurants and stuff like that, and we liked that a lot. It's independent living, so they don't have 24/7 nursing care on-site, but they're right next to the fire department. The staff seemed very nice. They were very friendly.

Holiday Cedar Woods is independent living, but there is assistance available through an agency that they deal with. The tour was very good. I don't think the person that gave the tour was the one that usually does that. The first person I met was someone from the corporate who was casually dressed and helping people move boxes and things like that. It wasn't the best introduction. I'm sure that once things are settled and back to normal, it would be fine. I liked that place better than the other one. They showed a model apartment and they were adequate. They said they had a small storage area in the basement. They had a small library. They had some exercise equipment in a room. It looked like they were just moving things in. It didn't look like the rooms had been used much, but that's just because everything has been done over. Included in the monthly rent is one meal a day. They've got a very nice dining room. They had a full kitchen so that you could live independently. There was parking outside. They allowed pets. They allow smoking outside at a distance from the building at this point. I saw some of the kitchen staff and they looked very pleasant. They were setting up for dinner. Everything was newly painted with new carpeting. It looked great. No wear and tear yet.

We liked Holiday Cedar Woods because they had a full kitchen. Also, they had a little deck area. The staff was very nice. I met Brianna and another person and they were both lovely. Their facilities were right up there with everyone else's. They had good transportation services, game areas, common areas, and activities. They had a salon and that was good as well, and I think they had a workout room. It would be plenty for my father.

We saw Holiday Cedar Woods about a month ago. The best part is the convenience of shopping and gasoline and all of the normal things you need daily. The location is best. The negative there would be the price, which was quite a bit higher than the other place by about $500 to $1000, so that was farther away from our reach at this time. We did get lunch there, and the food was adequate. However, I would give it a 3 only because the price is higher. Otherwise, the place was very clean and very well-staffed with committed people. It was a little newer and quite a bit newer, so that was attractive, too. They could improve on the option of activities. If they could maybe option some of the others to bring the price down for people in our situation. I think it's the food prices, the three meals a day that are very well done could be made optional, too, so that you can reduce the price of what you pay per month. The main feature we liked was the lack of buy-in that many facilities require. The staff who toured us was very personable and very informative. The food was quite good. They have options for people that want to vary from the main meal in the daytime versus the night. They offer everything.

I am at Holiday Cedar Woods. I get three meals a day, which is not all to my liking, but it's all included, and they could take you out shopping if you want to go to the grocery store or doctor's appointments. They do housekeeping and change your bed. Overall, it's not bad. It's clean and they are very friendly. I'm happy to be here. It meets my needs.

I live in a town where the Cedar Woods is. It was adequate in its appearance. It was very middle class, which is nothing wrong with that, because I am. The person that took me around was very informed and very helpful. The facility had a sense of cleanliness to it. It wasn't horrible at all. I realized I was too young for the facility, and realizing that, I then realized why the activity part of it wasn't something that was a strong part. The people there were much older than I was, and I was looking for a place that had activities, a lot of social events. It wasn't that they didn't have it, but they had what was appropriate for their age group. They had a library, cafe, and a craft room on a very small scale. The room was adequate. The amount of space you're allotted makes sense for that age. There's no walking trails, not that I'm a big walker. You're in a building, you have the parking lot, you're close to town, but there's no outside place where you could picnic. It's not updated, you have washing machines at the end of the hall, but I know the rooms don't tolerate that. But if you had an up and down washing machine in each unit, that would be something that I would think would be helpful. They could update the carpet, or upgrade the facility.

I chose to be here at Cedar Woods because I like their retirement apartments. It's just like living in my old apartment, but you have activities to do and everybody here is well taken care of. You get your meals and you get your laundry done. It is beautiful and the staff is wonderful.

My visit at Cedar Woods was good. The rooms looked OK. There are different sizes and I'm looking for a one-bedroom apartment. The staff just showed me the general layout of one unit that was sort of a model. The staff was very good. I only saw a few of their amenities, but there were a lot of them, like meals, and the driving assistance if I needed. It was very nice and very clean.

I went to Cedar Woods. I did not like it. The person who took me around was lovely; it's just not what I wanted, and not the appearance that I would like. It was crowded; it just didn't appeal to me personally. The atmosphere reminded me of an apartment in the Bronx. The apartments were way too small. I looked at a two-bedroom apartment, and you could barely turn around in the kitchen -- it was too small for me. Everything was clean. I didn't see much of the facility because the tour was here is a two bedroom apartment and that is it.

Cedar Woods has been very good for my mom. They're very helpful. The staff members are very attentive. They have been there pretty much everyday. Everything that I have asked for, they have come through. My mom has an apartment. They have daily activities from bingo to card games to music or concerts. They have everything. Residents are getting breakfast, lunch, and dinner, too.

I visited Cedar Woods, and it was wonderful. They showed me the 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. They offer reading, music, art, they have a gymnasium, and just about everything you can think of. They serve three meals, and the staff is thorough, but very smart. I was invited for lunch, and she left me with 3three residents, and that was very beneficial because we could talk about the place in private. They were upfront, honest about their opinions, and talked highly about the loation and the building itself.

I was very impressed Cedar Woods facilities, including the food and their rooms. It's a wonderful place, but it was unaffordable for the average person, unless you have fantastic insurance and income. They have an awful lot of activities and the food was excellent.

Cedar Woods was a nice place, and everybody seemed happy there. Their dining room was fine and was just one open room with tables. The menu looked like they had good food and had good variety. I would definitely have my mom move there. One thing that they did which I liked is that they actually have somebody assigned to you that's there already so that when you're new, that person will come to your room and make sure you come down to the dining room and you know about the activities and where everything is so they're not just leaving new residents there to figure out whats going on on their own.

I found a nice place for my cousin at Cedar Woods. It’s a beautiful place and eight miles from where I used to live. He wanted to keep his personal belongings. It’s a lovely three-room apartment for $3,000 a month in an excellent location for him.

I thought Cedar Woods was great. I wish I could get in there. It's fantastic. I like everything about it, like the food, the help, and the activities. The rooms were not gigantic, but they’re a good space and sufficient enough for one adult. They had a lot of activities. Nothing was going on, but they showed us what they have, like a game room, music night, and nights where they watch movies. There were a lot of things that they do, which I thought was great. They also had a bus to take you places you need to go.

I would recommend Cedar Woods because of the exceptionally caring and compassionate management and staff there. Although the building is an older one, it is clean and the staff truly care about the individuals living at Cedar Woods, plus the cost is less than other places comparable. My mother currently lives at Cedar Woods and she hasn't been this happy since my father was alive! Thank you Cedar Woods!

The rooms at Cedar Woods are very spacious for my mom to move around in. It's an independent living facility. The grounds are nice, and it has local access to everything. We also like the rent because it's about half the price of going into an assisted living. They have a new management team that has taken over. She has only been there a week, and she's still trying to get used to the facility. The food is not the best, as they were having trouble with the chef, but hopefully that will improve. Aside from that, everything is very clean. The staff has been very friendly, and they are trying to make her happy.

Cedar Woods is excellent. The management is extremely caring and extended themselves to us above and beyond the call of duty. I saw their 2-bedroom guest suite, and it was beautiful. It looks like a regular apartment, not like an institutional apartment. The kitchen area is in a separate room. They have full range of activities. We are not residents, but we did participate in a football watching party. And that was fun. They have philosophy of ageing in place. So a person can move in there and live in their apartment the rest of their lives because they would bring in the services that person needs as they decline. It's an independent living community, but they have nursing care agencies on site, and there's always nursing staff there. So it's like the best of both worlds. And you can use the nursing staff in small increments of time, like 15 minutes at a time if that's all you need, for example, to give you your medication. Or you can use them for a lot more than that, so all the care that you would need is available there. But because they're licensed as an independent living facility, it's much more affordable to live there, in an apartment that looks like a nice, regular apartment. So you have all the social support and activities of assisted living, and you have the medical care. But it's priced affordably. And the management is very committed to the residents and in keeping them living as not-institutionally as possible.

When you walk into Cedar Woods the hallways are very nice-looking. There's a grand piano in the foyer and coffee urns are available throughout the building. The staff were very friendly when we went with my granparents to sign the documents necessary to move into the apartment. My granparents were given a gift basket which was a nice touch. The staff seemed very accommodating, although they may have bitten off more than they could chew. They promised they could do things (such as wall-mounting a flat panel TV) without seeming to understand what they were promising to do. They did install a new handicapped accessible bathtub, and they also painted a couple of the walls red as my grandmother chose. I got to eat a few meals at Cedar Woods. I liked that the meals were served restaurant-style with waitstaff taking your order and bringing food to your table. Unfortunately the meals were kind of blah, and the coleslaw served with the pulled prok sandwich was definitely the worst I've had in my life. The facility has pull cords for emergencies and transportation is available on weekdays for an additional fee. Homecare aids must be contracted through an outside agency. Overall it's a nice enough place, but I don't think it's a good choice for senior citizens who require a lot of care.
