My mom has been at Karambi for just over a year now. I love the owner Fran, she has a huge heart for her residents. When I found karambi my mom was just out of rehab for hip surgery & was in a sling waiting for shoulder replacement. Fran accepted her with open arms. My mom had given up on doing her word search puzzles & was depressed. Fran and her staff are amazing. They worked with all the extra for my mom and now my mom is thriving. She loves the staff & her peers at the house. Karambi goes above/beyond to show their residents love. The meals are great, the house is so clean & activities are done with residents. I didn’t have to buy my mom bed like other families, Fran provides everything, including her own recliner for living room. Residents interact all day so not in their rooms alone. I could go on-on about Karambi. Im a retired social worker & saw first hand when other facilities dont care for the residents. I would recommend karambi to anyone looking for a place for their loved one. Be assured they will get the best care at karambi!

For the past few years, I had been helping my aunt who lived 6 states away. During COVID she had been alone in her room and was mentally, physically, and emotionally deteriorating. I brought her to Colorado and researched local small homes near me and found Karambi. She was their first client and transitioned very well. Since she had direct supervision, she was fed better, her medical needs were seen quickly, she was groomed regularly, her behaviors were monitored closely. The home was always clean and orderly. There was always capable staff on site, and they were always interacting with the clients. My aunt was spry and cantankerous, but also had an ornery fun-loving spirit. Fran and the staff at Karambi were able to draw out the better parts of my aunt and she started to come alive again! She was mentally more alert, her mood improved, she was physically more active, she spoke more, she ate more, she watched stimulating tv shows, sang easy fun songs, played swift card games, worked fun puzzles, thumbed through magazines and small books, and got out of her room more. She went out on a few walks/wheelchair adventures. She enjoyed prayer, talking and singing about Jesus. Being in the small home with direct supervision gave me a better peace of mind and she wasn’t lost in the cracks which happens often to seniors in larger facilities, especially when they have independent private rooms! Karambi wasn’t just a good fit, I also felt confident that with the owner, Fran’s drive, she could handle overseeing my aunt’s welfare and daily living needs. I was so glad to find Fran and Karambi. Her loving and supportive nature helped my aunt thrive and get back her good parts in life she missed out on for a while.

We chose Karambi Assisted Living Home LLC for my mother because of the caring attitude of the owner and the staff, and the fact that it was a smaller assisted living home as opposed to a big facility. I think they have a maximum of eight residents, and it's a small, loving home. They have an outdoor patio, and it is very close to a small lake. The lake also has a playground for kids, so those who are able to walk could walk to the lake, while those who are unable to walk could go in a wheelchair and still experience the lake and nature, as well as the kids playing in the playground. I guess one of the biggest things that I really liked about it is they do not allow the residents to have a private TV in their rooms, so there is only one TV in the main sitting room. The residents are also not allowed to eat in their rooms, so that means they must gather at the dining-room table and eat together. I think that in many of these facilities, it may be fine to allow people to have TVs in their room and to allow people to eat in their rooms, but I think that discourages socialization. One of the main things that I think leads to a quicker decline is the lack of socialization. I've also been there when they've served food, and it all looks to be a well-prepared and nutritious menu. Not to say that they don't have some fun things on the menu or that they don't serve desserts, because they do. Unfortunately, I think sometimes seniors, when they get to be that age, they don't understand that eating too many sweets is not good for them.
