My brother is at Sterling Living Center and they have been exceptional with him. He's wheelchair-bound, and he's just been treated very, very well. It's all on one level which is convenient for him. The rooms haven't been updated in quite a few years, but they're very clean and they're very accommodating for him being in a wheelchair. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate his needs and they work with the family very, very well. They keep me up to date extremely well so I'm always aware of what's going on with him because I live in a different town. It just could use some remodeling. My brother says the food is bland but you have to accommodate so many appetites and diets, so we just take him some seasonings that he could use himself. They have activities and he attends some. He's not a real big attender on that type of thing. He reads a great deal versus that and then he goes up and down the hall and visits a lot, but they do a great job with the activities. He just chooses not to participate. I've been there for other people and seen the activities and it's always a group environment. They try to enhance as much physical aspect into it as permitted (since the patients are diversified there).

I was in Sterling Living Center for three months to get recuperated. It was an excellent facility all the way around. They have all single rooms. The staff is excellent, and you can’t ask for a better bunch of people to be with.

I wouldn't put my cat in Rose Arbor Manor. As soon as you walk through the door, the smell is just overwhelming. I've seen people asking for help, but not getting anything.
