My mother-in-law is going to Primrose Retirement Community of Pueblo. She's been there before, and we love it. It's excellent. The administration and the people there were awesome. It's some place my mother-in-law absolutely wants to go to, so she's going to be happy there. It's very clean and very well organized. They do a lot of good activities for the elderly. They do day trips and take care of her doctor's appointments. It's overall a 10+. She was there three years ago, and she was pretty functional then. The food was great. Everything about Primrose was awesome. We already put a deposit down, and they will keep our deposit until she goes in there (whether it's 30 days or 60 days).

Primrose Retirement Community of Pueblo was relatively new and clean. I got to see the entire facility, the apartments, the dining areas, and the recreation areas, and I was pleased with what I saw. Plus, it's close to my house. They have services like physical therapists and different levels of checking on residents based on their abilities and assessment of their skills. I liked that all the common areas were well-lit, wide open, and very nice. I took a look at the menus and their food service and I was very happy. I was able to get mom an apartment on the first floor so she would not have to navigate down once she moves in. The people we met there were nice and concerned.

My dad moved into Primrose Retirement about a month ago. I like the health portion of it, the coverage with the nursing and CNAs, the response time, and the overall medical care. The staff is very knowledgeable and very attentive. It's a very nice facility, very clean, not like a nursing style home, and it's comfortable. It's just a good facility. They have a lot of activities, but unfortunately with COVID, they are being locked up a little bit, but it's still good. They have physical therapy, gaming activities, movies, church mass, and the activity directors are real involved with the residents there.

Primrose Retirement Community of Pueblo was very upscale, very clean, and very nice. The accommodations also looked very nice and the staff seemed very nice. The buildings were well-maintained and that was my impression during the visit. The staff was very friendly and very calm, even at this time this year. They had good vibes. They shared their menu and it looked very interesting and nice. Their dining room was very clean and spacious, it wasn't crowded. They had a movie room, a library, an ice cream bar, they had a snack bar, it was very nice.

Primrose Retirement Community of Pueblo is a very nice community, but the price is much higher than the place we chose. The people we talked to were really nice, and the food menu they showed us looked very good. However, the rooms they showed us were not what we needed. They didn't have the right-sized rooms in assisted living, and it didn't have the ambiance that my current community has. The outdoor areas especially are not as attractive as the place where we're at.

My mother has been a resident of Primrose of Pueblo for about a month now and our experience has been very good. The staff members are also very good, caring, and helpful. The atmosphere of the place is very pleasant, and the rooms are very nice, clean, open and spacious. The dining area is like you're eating in a restaurant. I have tried the food, and the dining area is very open. They have various things to do for the residents and it seems like there's something going on nearly every day. Some of their amenities is an ice cream parlor, a movie theater, they have a pub that serves either alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, they also have a chapel. Their food is always very good, although it's not exactly homestyle cooking. In terms of value for the money, it's a little expensive.

I was very impressed with Primrose Retirement Community of Pueblo. It's very clean and well kept. They seemed very concerned about the residents. The person during the tour was very helpful. She's been there for several years and seems to know most of the people. I spoke with a few of the residents and they seemed very happy. The dining area was very clean and organized like a restaurant. We had dinner there, and it was very good. They had a movie theater, gymnasium, 1950s style ice cream social parlor, beauty shop, puzzle room, and pool tables for the younger folks. It seemed to be a very nice place.

We have moved into Primrose Retirement Community of Pueblo. Everybody's very friendly and very helpful. We like it and don't have complaints. We're waiting for our villa. The food is good. They have two main choices for lunch, and you can always get a grilled cheese, grilled ham and cheese, hamburger, cheeseburger, or a chef's salad if you want. They have a lot of Christmas crafting going on right now. They have an ice cream social every Wednesday and a happy hour on Friday that's all free. This Saturday, they're having a gathering where you can have your family come, and they're going to have entertainment. They had a special Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner. Residents are invited to a dinner on the 21st. They have exercise programs, games, and puzzles all over the place to do. The staff members are all very friendly and remember your name. I never really had any complaints about their food. It's good. The facility is nice, cozy, and clean.

I visited Primrose. I was not able to see any of the rooms, but I did see that the people there were very friendly. They had a different feel to them. It felt more like a neighborhood concept rather than an open, big concept of another facility. It was more of neighborhood-feel with the little café, little bistros, and the film room. Primrose appealed to my mom in that age range in terms of the coziness and the hominess of the way it feels. I think my mother prefers the way that felt. Primrose is more Victorian, cozy, and neighborhood-like in terms of the atmosphere. Also, it is closer in proximity to restaurants, stores, and gas stations. It is closer to those types of amenities, if that is important.

My father likes it there at Primrose; he's not unhappy. It’s a nice place, and it’s closer to where I live. Everything is good and everybody's friendly. They seem to be on top of things. They’ve got a movie theater in there. They have different things each day. They’ll take them to places like Walmart once a week and then they take them to other recreational things about maybe once a month -- to Garden of the Gods or up to the mountains. It’s hard for me to compare other places, but this is the nicest place I saw out of them all. My father liked the food. The place is outrageously expensive, so you get what you pay for. It’s hard to say how long he'll be living there. At some point he'll run out of money, and then we'll have to figure something out before that happens. But when you compare like cost in Denver or Colorado Springs then it’s not very much more than those places, but in Pueblo, it’s probably the most expensive.

My grandfather passed away on Thanksgiving Day. He was just about to turn 100. He was at Primrose Retirement. It was a nice place and their care there was okay. They did okay with him. He was comfortable there but he was not at the same time because of his issues. The issues I had with them were their big turnover and that there were certain staff members that shouldn't be working in that line of work. There were times when I was happy with the care and there were times when I was unhappy because of the turnover and that sort of thing.

Primrose has better facilities and it suits my parents. We're just happy with what we have and that's where we're going to take them.
