My mom is at The Center at Lincoln for rehab. She's been there and I haven't been able to see it or really experience it. I take things to the front desk and they take it from there. On the first day that I was there, they called me, and told me that they needed a sitter 24 hours for 72 hours, round the clock, and I said, "Why can't I come in and do part of that?" and they said I couldn't, because I was family, and that I had to pay for it, which I thought was horrible. They are charging $37 an hour for someone to babysit Mom basically. They're very nice, and she really needs somebody there with her, but $37 an hour is just a little steep for that I think. I usually call my mom's phone in her room, and the sitter will answer the phone for her. We tried to do a couple of Zoom calls as we can that The Center at Lincoln has set up, and they were unable to start the first one, but her sitter was able to do it on her personal phone. We did the second one yesterday, and it was really good, but the computer that they brought in for Mom to use died, like within fifteen minutes of the call, but when it comes to giving me updates, they were doing good with that.

My stepdad was in for 5 days and we discharged him early. It was a terrible rehab facility. Very little communication with family. They didn’t give my stepdad a shower for 4 days and when we insisted he have one, it took all day for the CNA to respond. He had no physical injuries, he just needed to have supervision for the shower. His room was right outside the nurses station so he could be observed after a stroke. The first night he fell and no one could tell us why or if any injuries. The nurses work 12-16 hr shifts and change every 2 days so no consistency of care. No smiles or upbeat behavior by the staff either. I wouldn’t leave your loved one alone there. Even wi h us there everyday, my stepdad didn’t get the care he needed.

My mother is doing rehab at Center at Lincoln, and it's so hard, because of COVID we can't see her. I have heard phone conversations between her and the staff members because she tends to call me and set the phone down. They've been very kind and I've been impressed with the way they talk to her and deal with her with her confusion and stuff. So I have no complaints about them. They don't do long term, I've actually asked them, they're strictly a rehab facility, but I'm happy with it from what I know. We had dropped stuff off at the door because you can't go in, and when you talk to them they're really nice and helpful. It looks nice from the outside. She's doing PT, OT, and stuff there.

My wife is in The Center at Lincoln for rehab. It's a modern building, it's extremely well done, and they have 36 therapists. They have excellent equipment, the food is definitely not hospital food, and it's just a great place all the way around. They do group activities on the weekend, there are games, movies, and they schedule a lot of different things, but they canceled it due to the virus. They have a formal dining room, you can eat there if you want or in your room.
