I am a resident of Brookdale Meridian Lakewood. I'm perfectly happy here. Unfortunately, we had a fire last February. They have exercise classes every day, active minds, mix and mingle; they have all sorts of things here. There's one floor for people who are very sick more than assisted living, but the north and south side are all independent living. They have lovely groves and all of that sort; it's in an older area with trees. The food is like living in a dormitory when you're in college. It's a little monotonous, but it is okay. I only go down for one meal because it's very difficult to hear in the dining room. Of course, I want nice, well-cooked meals with fresh vegetables and things like that, but I'm not going to rate the place entirely on the food. I do not cook anymore. I give it a four, only because it's so hard to hear in the dining area. I like the people and the activities. Otherwise, it's absolutely fine. I have a washer and dryer in my apartment. They have two weak points. They put in the wrong washer and dryers on the second and third floors here, they are very high. So, the washer and dryers and the hearing are the only two things. My apartment is nice sized. I have a balcony and all of that, and I have a cat. It's a good value for what it is. They have sufficient activities here. I'm on the south side, and they're having to replace the roof of about 21 apartments on the first, second, and third floors because of the fire last February. I'm on the second floor where I did not have to be evacuated, but the people further down had to be.

Brookdale Meridian Lakewood is the one that I liked the best because it just seemed like one that my father would align with a little bit better. They also had walking paths outside. There was a catch and release fishpond and stuff. There were lots of different social opportunities, too. I also liked the Brookdale at Home Service option, so that my father could be independent living. He could then have some services added on as he needs more care. The staff who gave me the tour seemed well-informed and well connected, but their follow-up has been a little bit poor. She is supposed to email me things and hasn't. I've called several times and haven't heard back, so that's not been the best. In terms of activities, it seems like a busy place. I saw the setup for all the activities, but I didn't necessarily see any activities in motion.

Brookdale Meridian Lakewood was very well maintained. The apartments were fully equipped. The view outside, the trees, and the walking paths were something we liked. The staff was very professional and very well-organized with lots of good information. They had a beauty salon, outdoor walking paths, and a fitness area. Their upkeep was good.

We chose Brookdale Meridian Lakewood because of the availability of my physical and occupational treatments that I have on an ongoing basis. They have them on staff so I can do it right there. I like the setting. It is on a greenbelt with pine trees, and it is in a very quiet neighborhood. I have not had too many dealings yet with the staff because I am yet to move in. I have only gotten to work with Ashley (who was their liaison agent). She has been very accommodating and very eager to provide me with the things I need such as all-wood flooring and walk-in shower. Their facilities are very complete; they have a room for everything. There is a dining room, two libraries, a very extensive room with things to do outside your apartment. They have weekly housekeeping. They have laundry service. There are three meals a day, plus a choice of dishes that you could eat. They have lots of activities like Wii bowling. They will take me to the local stores and doctors' appointments. The staff arranged for a private meal so we could try the food, and it is excellent. They have a huge variety of food.

We found Brookdale Meridian Lakewood for Mom, and shes moving in today, but so far, were very pleased. The staff was very helpful, and the community was very nice, appeared to be well-maintained, and pleasant. The food was OK, but it wasnt as good as I hoped it should be. We had two meals there. The first one was underseasoned, and the second one was overseasoned. My mother enjoyed her meals, so that was important. The dining area was nice with a little fireplace that was nice and quiet, and overlooked a little patio. Their activities appeared to be a very good match for her, and the thing she liked to do. Its an older facility, some settling of the building was obvious, but it seemed a solid building, and it appeared to be well maintained.

I'm a resident of Brookdale Meridian Lakewood, and I'm very happy with what I got. I like that the community has ten acres of property; you can get out and get some sunshine in. I'm in charge of bingo and the veteran's group. The food is good, although it could be better. We have transportation and a gym, but not a big one, and so on. The staff is excellent. The value for the price is very good.

Brookdale Meridian Lakewood (Meridian Lakewood) was nice, but the rooms werent as big as other places. It was more costly, and they gave me a list off add-ons. They have food and maintenance. I just didn't feel as comfortable there. The staff member I met was very gracious. The rooms were nice, bright, and well-maintained.

Meridian Lakewood is independent but has meals. My mother is very happy with the layout, the underground parking, and the storage facility. Her apartment is spacious and well laid out. She loves her balcony that looks out onto a park. She is fully integrated with all of her activities and has made such good friends and good connections. She is 89 and is one of the most vibrant girls in the place. The leadership is quite nice.

We had lunch at Meridian Lakewood; they showed us around, and we were really impressed. You could park your car in a basement, and they have lots of amenities like belly dancing; that was kind of fun. The food was very good, it was well served, and you didn’t have to sit at the same table all the time.

During our tour at Meridian Lakewood, they gave us a seminar on senior living and some of the things to look out for in moving, and that was nice. We had a nice tour of all the grounds. I think there's a library next to it, and it has the nicest grounds among all the places that we looked at. They serve meals, and there's a lot of activities.

We are living currently at Meridian Lakewood and like it a lot. The food is excellent. We have a large corner apartment on the first floor that has a lot of lights, a little deck, and storage off the deck, which appealed to my husband a lot. The closet space is very good, which is really surprising.

We are really happy with Meridian Lakewood and having a very good experience. The staff is doing a good job getting my mom rehabilitated. The room is large, and the dining room is very nice. I tried the food in the building but not on the floor where she is living. She seems to like it. Mom is in a care center for skilled nursing. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

My wife is in Meridian Lakewood. I think she is doing well and is happy. Her apartment is very adequate for her. She is not much involved in the activities, but there are some walking paths.

We liked the grounds the best. The staff is quite good. There are different styles of apartment. The one that my mother has is one bedroom. It's rather old looking and a bit outdated. She is not very happy there. The food is not good. They have arts and crafts, they go out to places and to different cultural activities, they go to lunch quite often, and they have game times and movie nights. She seems to like those quite a bit. She has been in Lakewood Meridian since late May. They definitely need to get a new chef and update the facilities. The common areas are nice, but the rooms are very old and need refurbishing.

My mom is doing well. The atmosphere in The Meridian is good. The service and the amenity are good as well. I don't have any problems with it. They are very good with the activities. She is in her room very much, and they make sure they go out to the family room and get involved with things. The things my mom goes to is flower arranging and games. They have bowling and mind games. It changes day by day, but they make sure to keep them on the family room and play games and stuff like that to keep their mind going. I am very happy with what they are doing with her. I am just pleased with her being there. You always have questions and concerns about how they are taking care of your family member. Of course there are things that I would do differently if she was staying here with me, but overall they have done a really good job with her.

My mom is in Meridian. We chose it because they provide her a chance to start independently, and when she needs assistance, she will not have to move. They have quite a few programs. They offer physical therapy, weekly movies, and game days. She plays cards and Wii, and she is more active in this community than she is when she is living by herself. They have the right amount of staff that my mom needs. She feels comfortable where she is. She has a one-room apartment with a kitchen, but that's what she needs and she hasn't complained about it. The food is good. It is in small portion, but she doesn't eat much.

We liked the Meridian. The staff treated me very well. They had exercise facilities and classes. They had a theater area that looked nice.

The Meridian-Lakewood was good except for the price. The place was nice, and the people were really friendly. The maintenance guy introduced himself. It was just really a good feeling. The staff was great. It was very clean. They took me to the dining room, and it was clean. I don’t think it was time for a meal, and so it was empty, but it was definitely spacious.

We were searching for a facility and we picked Meridian Lakewood. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was excellent. The accommodations are very, very nice. It's not cheap but my children insist that if I'm saving my money for my old age, this is it. I'm very happy with them.

My grandparents were original purchasers in the Meridian. They sold their home and purchased an apartment there. The facility was a lovely place and it was awesome. Everybody was wonderful, sweet and fantastic until my grandfather in law needed more assistance. They wouldn't let him stay in his apartment and they moved him to the nursing home facility. They were disrespectful to him in the nursing home. He was a night person and they just threw him into his bed at 8:00 at night and wouldn't let people visit him after eight. It was a nightmare. My grandmother fell and was also moved to the nursing home and they wouldn't let them stay in the same room. They were paying for both the apartment and the nursing home. It took us a couple of months to move them. I hope things have improved now but we swore at that point that we would never go to another Meridian.

My parents are in an assisted living facility at The Meridian. It is in a location where my parents want to be. We chose this because it is a facility that offers independent senior living all the way through hospice, so when their needs increase, they are able to stay there for the rest of their lives. Right now my mom is in their assisted living, but my stepfather is not, so this is a perfect place for them both. Plus, it is a lovely place. Currently they have a two-bedroom apartment with a patio that overlooks the grounds. They spend a lot of time out there. A family of ducks would come up to their patio and my parents would feed them. The living environment has been great for them. The staff members are really good to them. They're just great. They would go out of their way to meet their needs. We have eaten there in their dining room and the food was really good. I would absolutely recommend this place to others.

We visited a lot of places and we have decided on Meridian Lakewood. We chose this facility because of its beauty and its location. They have a huge decorated landscaped courtyard and a nice dining room. We have a two-bedroom-two-bathroom apartment. Their staff is absolutely unbelievable. They are very helpful and friendly. They are there to answer questions, help us when we need help, and take care of anything that we don't know about. They also have activities for their tenants. We're very satisfied with Meridian. In fact, I have already recommended this place to others.

The health center has was to high of a turn around, every time I am there I see several new CNA'S. I can not possibly see how that is good for the residents, Prior to the new management it seemed as though the staff stayed longer and management was involved with the staff and residents. It is a battle to get any of the nurses to comply with orders from the doctors. Tasks as simple as putting lotion on dry skin, changing residents so they do not sit in soiled cloths and they seem to have a huge issue with dignity issues....every time I am there my loved one has dry food on their face, 2nd day worn cloths and their hair not combed. Management tells family members how life is going to be despite wishes from the resident and family. It is a rat race that needs to be controlled. It is so unfortunate that all of the directors seem to only be concerned with how good they look and will throw anyone under the bus as long as they look good. FAKE! I would never recommend anyone to bring their loved one here, it's over priced with horrible care.
