Most terrible place to put elderly people, never ever choose this place to keep your loved once, they stuff is terrible and managers let them yelled with the patient, they enjoy doing this. Most terrible place to live in.

The facility had few good nurses and aides. The aides speak cruelly to patients and take forever to answer call lights Management did not listen to needs of the residents or family members. Retallaliation from management and staff was a very real concern.Theft at this facility occurred way too often

My husband has been living in Avamere since March. It is pretty well kept, but it’s not the greatest place, and they don’t answer the red lights very quickly. The room is shared. The food is average and could be better. The dining facility was clean. There’s a lot of theft going on there. The staff was pretty good. There’s a couple that are naturally are not nice. They offer quite a bit of activities, but my husband does not partake quite often.

My husband was a patient at Avamere for six weeks before he died. The facility is very nice, and we were very happy there. They have very good nurses. This place is better when you need more care. They have activities there. Like when they have a birthday party, they have people come and sing, and my husband liked that. They have a lady who would play an accordion and sing, and she was very good. He liked the music. We were in a double room with a young man, and I felt sorry for him because I felt like he probably would like different things than my husband, so if they could get people maybe more the same age, that would help. Their food was good.

My mother-in-law lives at this facility. She is well cared for and reasonably happy. I have eaten there with her on a couple of occations. The staff is always happy to go out of their way even for any special requests I have had. Even though I don't have POA, they keep me informed about her when I ask. My mother-in-law is free to roam as she pleases. There are lots of activities provided including Ice Cream Socials, Bingo, and a number of performers. It is very clean and doesn't smell of urine like some other places I have walked into. I like this place.
