My brother lives there currently after having a stroke with Covid causing his light dementia. He is himself only unable to organize things step by step. He says this is the best place he has ever lived, quiet, clean, good meals and nice people, non smoking. He says he loves it here! We were impressed with all the staff members, kind people with lots of patience. They have activities and a Friday afternoon Happy Hour. Once a month men’s lunch. They dispense his medication daily and he has pet nicknames for each person and looks forward to seeing them. He is fully taken care of …for the things he can’t do like laundry and bed changing. He has personalized his room and it is always looked after well by Granville staff. There is a basic locked drawer in his bathroom. He has a mini fridge and a microwave. He doesn’t use the micro but it’s there. The first week he was there, they had a bbq out on a balcony. Security seems good anytime we have come after hours. Parking can get tight for visitors but maybe we are just coming at prime time. It is in a very busy area of Wadsworth and Colfax with a transit parking garage next door. They are very aware of the busy area. Can’t think of enough good things about Granville!

I visited The Granville Assisted Living Center. I like its location. Very private and opulent. I never got to see a room. My brother doesn't have Medicaid as of yet, and they would not take him unless we get private pay, which was $3900 a month. Even if it was pending, they would not recognize it and that was disheartening. They had crafts and clubs. They have outdoor activities like going shopping.

I am giving The Granville 3 stars for the following reasons. I am a relative of a former resident. Mom lived at the Granville for several years and I THOUGHT is was a great place. The facility is clean and most staff are friendly, but they won't hesitate to evict residents. They will provide warning that the resident is at risk for being evicted. Once they send the 30 day eviction notice, they want to know if a new place has been found, and still pester you to get the resident out. I would not recommend this place to anyone, at least not until they replace the executive director.

My mom moved into The Granville Assisted Living Center last January. The experience has been very good. The staff has been there a long time. They're very friendly. They're very big. All the protocols for COVID and for keeping the place clean, have been exceptional. They really follow the rules. They've got a lot of good things in place. The staff is fantastic. My mom loves the food. It's very clean. They have a cleaning staff that's really on top of it. I think they're starting to bring things back because of COVID. She hasn't been involved in anything just yet.

We toured The Granville Assisted Living Center and it's wonderful. My mom is low income so there were not very many options because she's on Medicaid. But the staff were wonderful, and they continue to be great. The place was very clean. Everybody gets their own studio apartment. That was one of the main things that she does not have to share a room, which is nice. It just felt comfortable and clean. They had a resident that just got COVID that day, so it was a very quick tour. I did not see the entire facility. I did see the menu for that day, and it was very impressive. I was there for maybe 15 minutes total.

My mother has lived at The Granville for nearly 10 years now. Over these years, we've been consistently impressed with the friendly, caring and responsive team of management and staff. Mom has enjoyed the ongoing reinvestment in the building as they've redecorated and demonstrated other efforts to create a sense of welcome and hominess within the community. Communication is great and I never worry about her care. They've been especially vigilant in their efforts during these past months of COVID and maintained a safe environment for residents and staff. They were mindful of, not just the resident's physical safety but also their emotional well being during this difficult time and made many efforts to keep people active and connected through technology and other independent activities. We feel very fortunate to have found The Granville when we were looking for Mom's new home.

The staff is WONDERFUL!!!!! The Granville's staff has longevity, this is not something you see in this industry. The residents are treated with respect and as adults, unlike other facilities I have seen. I feel fortunate that my sister lives here.

The staff at the Granville have been so wonderful helping my mother transition from living with us to living on her own. They are thoughtful, compassionate and incredibly patient with her. They are also just as patient with us as we navigate this transition from many miles away. They communicate very clearly and quickly with us so we continue to be involoved in Mom's care and day to day living. My mother absolutely loves her new home and that is in large part due to the incredible management of this facility.

I honestly can't say enough about this place. MY GG has been there for 3 years and it just seems to get better and better every day. The people are PHENOMENAL. Dedicated. Smart. Loving. Honest. Everything you want. Food is great, communications are consistent and thorough, the facility is clean and updated with modern decor. Just so darn good. :)

The Granville is an assisted living facility that cares about its residents, and that is the most important attribute to have. The staff is very communicative and always strives to do all it can to provide the very best care for the residents. The food is good, but a little more variety and seasoning would be nice.

The Granville is very friendly, affordable, and has a good atmosphere. You have to be a little more independent since it doesn't have enhanced assisted living. It's very good and it's beautiful. They had a lot of good activities and they have a library, which is nice. The staff was quite friendly. The facility was very clean and didn't smell like hospital, so it felt like a home.

My father has been a resident at the Granville for 3 years and it has been an absolutely wonderful place for him to live. He was in a couple of other facilities that were below par before we found the Granville. From the moment we walked in, we felt that this was home. Sara, the executive director helped us with the transition paperwork and made it totally painless. The employees really make you feel like they are part of the extended family. Joe, Donna, Alicia, are just a few of the great "family" members that always have a friendly smile. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things about the Granville. Since dad moved in I have had to move about 60 miles away and I would love to have him closer, but I haven't found any other facility that can match the Granville. For me, the drive is more than worth it to have him live here. The Granville is always clean, the employees are warm and friendly, activities are available, the meals nutritious, meds are accurate and the apartments wonderful. Since dad has lived here they have spent money on capital improvements to keep the facility in top shape and comfortable for their residence. I would and have highly recommended the Granville to anyone that is needing a place to LIVE and add to their extended "family"!

My sister has the good fortune to be able to reside in the Granville. She required assisted living on short notice and luckily there was a handicap room opening up when she needed it. I cannot say enough about the incredible staff, cleanliness, well prepared food with multiple choices, etc. My sister is treated with respect and offered additional help when staff notices her struggling. They offer a variety of entertainment and crafts, bowling, bingo etc. The holidays are exceptionally planned to include friends and family in all the events. Most of all they made the transition from independent living to assisted living easy for my sister. In no time at all she was saying this felt like home and a safe and caring place to be. My family and I feel very grateful and blessed by these wonderful people.

We had my grandmother in The Granville for two years. The rooms are generous and very nice, the common areas are clean and well kept, and the staff is incredibly friendly and most have been there for many years. The owners are regularly at the building and know most of the residents by name. I often saw them sitting down with the residents and spending quality time with them. The owners even come to say grace at all of the holiday dinners! With The Granville we felt that it was a friendly and very home-like atmosphere that we were comfortable having our grandmother in and we enjoyed the family feel. Should you find yourself in need of an assisted living situation, this is a very nice, quality place and should be strongly considered..

Our experience at The Granville Assisted Living Center was good. We went for a meal, and it was very nice. They happened to be having a residents meeting in the cafeteria, which we sat in on. We saw staff moving around and helping people, so I thought they were fine.

The facility is clean and most staff are friendly, but they won't hesitate to evict residents for not strictly following all the rules, especially requiring residents to come down for 2 meals/day minimum. They will provide no written warning that the resident is at risk for being evicted and they will not, despite what they may initially say, work with the family to resolve the issue before it's too late. And once they send the eviction notice, they will not even work with you to find a new place, but still pester you to get the resident out. They also don't do much to work with new residents and families to make sure they have what they need. I would not recommend this place to anyone, at least not until they replace the executive director.
