I moved into Kavod Senior Life. The room is fine. The building I'm in has been here since about 1970. It's a 7-story building and it's OK; they maintain it. I have no complaints about the building. The staff here work, and they do their assignments. The food is good, and it's one meal a day. They do have activities. These are individual apartments, so the utilities are in the apartments. They've got laundry, and that's it.

My mom is currently at Kavod Senior Life and the location is good for her because it's in a familiar neighborhood. It's not the newest, but they keep it pretty clean and it looks fairly good. They have a good calendar of activities, visiting areas for family, and clinic services available on the top floor, so they don't have to leave the building for some basic care. They also have a fairly low turnover and their staff has been very responsive and competent. Food portions are adequate, but the variety isn't as wide as it could be.

This is a lovely facility, and the residents are really friendly with each other and the staff. I know for a fact that great friendships have been forged here. This facility is close to a lot of shopping. A group of the residents get together regularly and have a girls night out. They go to the mall and really enjoy themselves. It's not so much the buying, but just being around people that they like. I was visiting when they were coming back from just such a trip. They came in on a storm of laughter and chatting. Each lady was carrying at least two shopping bags. It looked like quite the fantastic outing. Added to the convenient location, the beautiful facility and all the friends the residents make, and it's an excellent place to be.
