My husband is in Brookdale Parkplace right now. They're very friendly. The only problem is they told me they could provide transportation for his dialysis, and it turns out they can't. His apartment is nice. He's happy there. The facilities are very nice. Parking is a problem. There's a pool. They have PT and OT and there's a salon where you can get your hair done and haircut. The food is really good. The staff is very good.

I toured Brookdale Parkplace. They were very helpful and very informative. They showed me all of the amenities of the place. I thought it was a little bit expensive with the service fees. The staff was very nice and cordial. She answered all my questions. The facilities were very clean. The structure was very good. It's very livable. I saw the TV room and the exercise room, and both looked fine. When I stepped in it was warm and cozy. It was not very busy. I didn't see a whole lot of people at the time I was there, but I know that they have happy hour going at 5:00, and that they seem to be pretty happy.

We toured Brookdale Parkplace. My brother was familiar with the area. He wasn't from the area but he liked it. He knew it was a nice area of Denver. They have a studio and a one-bedroom that we looked at. They were nice and clean, and I thought it was arranged nicely. The stove and a refrigerator were provided. The staff was very friendly and open to questions.

I really liked Brookdale Parkplace. It was a really nice facility. The staff was very friendly and answered our questions. The facility was clean. They had a lot of activities. There were different things for you to do. The rooms were big enough. They were nice sized, like a bedroom basically. They treated me very nicely. I felt at home. They have a garden. They have an outdoor seating area. They have a garden inside in the memory care. They had a pool, a hot tub, and exercise room with a machine. There's plenty there for you to occupy yourself with.

It seemed like Brookdale Parkplace had a great social system. I went to see their assisted living and Nick was great at the tour. He listened to the reason why my friend was going in. They seem to offer what is needed when you have a friend who is having challenges living a normal life. I think they had great amenities like a pool, a gym, a movie room, and dining rooms for your own parties.

We visited the independent living at Brookdale Parkplace, and we also talked a bit about assisted living and memory care. The tour was quite informative, the information that we received was very good. They had a website you can go to that gives you information. The staff was quite experienced, I got to talk to the head chef and head of housekeeping, and she's been for about 15 years. The chef has been there for a little while and he talked about how he got to being a chef and what his mission was, being there. The person that showed us around was Jayla, they showed us the 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms, and all the amenities in the facility. We also went back at a later date and had dinner there. The food was good, they have staff that comes out and brings the food to you. They have different types of menus, they have just a regular set menu, and then they have one that's kind of interchanging that the residents of the facility decide on. So everybody gets to have an input and then they decide on having a separate menu that you can eat off of as well. So that was pretty good. We had dinner there and we ate off of the residents' recommended items requested, and it was quite good. The facility was well-maintained. If you have the money, I would recommend this facility.

I went to Brookdale Parkplace and talked to Nick. I told him (probably about 10 or 15 minutes into speaking with him) that I knew I would not be able to afford the place, but he still gave me all the pluses that they have, and they're wonderful. They are there for the residents and I was so in awe of that. Nick was also wonderful. He was upfront about what the costs were going to be and told us how all of their residents are checked on every day by somebody that works at the place. It was a good one-to-one care, which is kind of what my brother needs. We just can't afford it.

Brookdale Parkplace was well-organized and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The apartments were good-sized and well-maintained. Even though they told me that the building was old, it did not look old. I saw the library, pool, gymnasium, hair parlors, a couple of different rooms for families to gather, and a separate building as an event center.

I have lived here at Brookdale Parkplace Independent Living for 5 years. It's a terrific place to live. The rooms are spacious and the views are excellent. This facility is 18 stories high, so we have great views of Denver. The activities offered are varied and interesting. All the helpers and staff are great; they're patient and kind. The employees go out of their way to help residents and to give information. I feel so fortunate to live here at Parkplace & I look forward to many more happy years here.

Hi my mom lives here at Parkplace and I have to say , number one — that her apartment is beautiful and that the people who work there are wonderful people. I do think that Brookdale has been going downhill. Some of the things that they have taken away in the last 3 1/2 years since my folks have been there. I have to say the food is hit or miss and that it would be lovely if they would bring back the omelette bar on weekends. It would be nice if they would replace and fix some of the wonderful benches that are outside instead of just removing them. I would like to see some consistency. my mom says that the cleaning services will be changed and right now she has someone that she trusts and is used to at a given date, whocomes and helps her once A week. she doesn’t need to have that changed or to have a variable schedule. All in all, again the people are fabulous!! The people who run it are fabulous. The people who work there are fabulous. They are caring and they do a really good job but I feel that Brookdale The main governing body, is not the greatest at using their money appropriately for as much as people are paying to live there. The programs are wonderful the speakers they have that come in. They have a beautiful pool and they have a beautiful dining room. There is a company called I think it’s called specialized living and those people are amazing and they are available to hire. sometimes I’m very disappointed to hear of some of the changes like no more white breast meat ever at dinner, broken water sprinklers in the front gardens. Also I had some experience with memory care two years ago and even though the independent living and assisted living was wonderful at Parkplace the memory care for my experience was dreadful. Maybe some people have really a good time there but my father had a really hard time and the decisions that were made were inappropriate and hurt him. thank you sincerely gunni gal

Brookdale Parkplace is a very nice community, but I feel that the residents were a bit older than me. My room is fantastic, I have hardwood floors which I like. It's very clean and painted nicely. It gives me plenty of space for what I need. It’s beautiful, and the room is very well-kept. I find everything works very well or if there’s some problems, they take care of it. I have magnificent view of the whole mountains to the west and south and also to the downtown Denver area. It gives me beautiful sunset and sunrise. The rooms are comfortable, and the heating is good; it’s the level that I like to be. I find all of the clients work well. The only thing I had difficulty with is getting the internet. I compliment that when someone moves out they redo the carpets and redo the room.

Brookdale Parkplace is much bigger, and it's high rise. Not only do they have assisted living and memory care, but they also have independent living units so we liked that about it also because not everybody really looks old. They have a nice pool and a hot tub, a workout room, and even though it's in a city, they had some nice grounds where you can walk around, and they have a really nice enclosed patio area in the memory care where you could walk, and they have nice outdoor space for assisted and independent living people. It's also within walking distance to a breakfast place where you could eat. The only thing we didn't like about it was that the rooms were not that nice. They were nice enough, but they were a little seedier-looking than other places we visited; however, they were spacious and roomy. Another thing we didn't like was it was very big, and we thought my dad would get very confused there and there was a lot going on, especially on the ground floor main level where there's a big reception area. I felt like my dad could walk out, and nobody would know he was gone.

I went to see Brookdale Parkplace. I didn't see a whole lot of people out in the common area. It seemed like people with dementia were more advanced than my husband. He needed to be in an area where there were people that were talkative and interested in activities. The rooms were too small for the things that my husband needed. The common areas were fine but not as great or cheerful as where my husband is now. I only talked to their salesperson, and he seemed fine. I was impressed with the set up of the dining area, and it was clean.

Brookdale Parkplace was like the Ritz-Carlton and just amazing. The décor was very inviting, very warm, and very ritzy, yet the atmosphere was still very warm. We enjoyed everything about it. We didn’t get to eat in the restaurant, but it looked very nice. I liked the fact that it had a 24-hour kitchen, which is nice for my mother-in-law because she has different times that she liked to be up and doing things. The staff that we met was wonderful, and the apartment was amazing. The room was spacious, had hardwood floors, a beautiful view, and everything that she would need, but she’d never go for it because it was too ritzy.

Brookdale Parkplace was great and lovely. It’s an older building, built maybe 28 years ago, and refurbished. If people move out, they refurbished the rooms with new appliances, new carpets, and counter tops. The staff was really terrific. The food was good, most of the time. The location was great and had really nice amenities. It’s very nice. We went to exercise class inside.

My dad is at Brookdale Park Place. His bedroom has plenty of space. The food apparently is adequate. The community itself, the residents there are very friendly. The interaction between the staff and the residents is very congenial. They have an activity area for the residents, and they have different games for them. The residents are out and about mingling a lot. Everybody spoke highly of the place. They really like being there.

I like how homey Brookdale was. They were very interested in what we needed and how they could help us with those needs not only for myself and my fiancé, who is taking care of pretty much everything, but for my parents as well. They took really good care of us, made us feel at home, and made our needs their first priority. Once you walk in, there’s a nice, open entry, and there’s some storage closets. It really didn’t like seem like we were in a home or a community. It has a standard 1-bedroom, not a studio, so it kind of felt liek a house or apartment. It had a washer and dryer in the unit, which was very good for us, because my mother is not quite over-the-hill yet and still able do some small things, so that was good for her as well. The staff was all really great and very informative. If they don’t know an answer, they’ll find out and get back to you in a timely manner. They’re all very nice, easygoing, and they seem like a little family. We went to a lunch initially when we first went for the consultation, which was really nice because we got to see their food area. The food is really good and fresh. They had numerous activities inside and outside, and they provide the transportation.

I really liked Brookdale Parkplace; it was beautiful. People there seemed very happy; they were well taken care of. I saw the memory care unit, and I was impressed with the way they took care of the residents; I thought the services that they offered were really good. I liked that it was a closed and locked unit for the memory care.

Brookdale Parkplace is in a better location, but they charge twice as much. Every one I talked to or had any dealings with was positive. The rooms looked really great because they have a sliding glass door. I find it very comfortable living there.

I visited Parkplace 2 years ago and then I was there last February. The tour was wonderful. The staff was professional, friendly, and kind. They answered all my questions. It’s a very defined, upscale, top notch, and very elegant facility. It’s very old. They’re starting to remodel and repaint many of the rooms. They’re working on brightening them up because they’re darker, smaller, and older rooms. They invited me for dinner, and I stayed. A very pretty and large dining room with a beautiful ceiling. They have a nice, varied menu. You can order a la carte or from different parts of the menu. You could pick and choose what you want. The reason I am thinking of going there is because they have an indoor, heated pool and water arthritis classes 6 days a week. They have a nice workout room with big windows. They have a nice, little library and you feel like you’re in a very elegant New York hotel when you walk into the lobby.

To those folks who have not visited Parkplace recently, it appears that the owner, Brookdale, has decided that they do not want to be one of Denver's premier assisted living residence. The quality of food, the training of the staff and level of luxury have diminished. For example, entree have little sauces or seasoning and are bland and repititious; The staff is generally friendly but do not have training with helping a resident transferring safely; The elevator are stained and scratched up. The director appears to be tasked with saving pennies with every aspect of service. Room service is on paper plates and with plastic utensils and tissue-like napkins. The positive aspects include the friendliness of staff, the landscaping, the new lobby furniture, and of course the views.

My husband had Alzheimer's and he died four months ago. While looking for a place for him, I had a chance to visit Parkplace. That's a very nice place. If he would have to go to an assisted living facility, I probably would have put him there. It is not only clean but it is also elegant. The staff is accommodating and friendly. They have activities for their residents. I thought it is an excellent place. It is a kind of place that I would want to go if I have to go to a home like that. I recommend this place.

My parents have lived at ParkPlace for the past 3 years and the most constant complaint from them and others who live there is the food service. Last night it took my parents 2 hours to get their meal. I did not belive it and had dinner there tonight with them and it took a server 15 minutes to come to our table to give us water and take our drink orders. It was another 13 minutes before be got our drinks and once we did our order was taken. Another 19 minutes before we received our salads/soup. Our waters were never refilled in spite of the fact we asked for more water twice. I ended up getting the pitcher and filling our water and a few other tables while at it. Our dinners finally arrived 1 hour 10 minutes AFTER we placed our order - and one of the orders was completely wrong, but at that point we did not want to wait another hour to get the correct food. After receiving our dinners, we never saw our server again. When we asked for coffee, we were told that they would have to tell the person handling beverages - if this is the same person who handled our waters this means we will never get our coffee. All in all, the food service is HORRIBLE and I think it is unacceptable for them to think that because the residents are elderly that they might not care. This food service needs a bad overhaul. My observation is that they have people assigned different jobs. There is a beverage person, an order taker, a server, a table busser. Why can't this place be run like a restaurant where the Server is in charge of a section of tables from thaking the order, making sure beverages are served, and getting the meal out in a timely basis. In general, after a salad is served the meal should be seved within 12 minutes of getting the salads out. I have spoken to the food services manager in the past about this and nothing has been done since our last talk a year ago. This in my opinion is a huge structural problem with ParkPlace Denver

This assisted living was fantastic, all of the amenities and all of the staff were wonderful and my uncle enjoyed his visit. My uncle is a tough critic and was very hesitant about being put in a care facility so he was going into the facility with his guard up. By the time he left he was completely satisfied. Overall the staff were great and gave my uncle regular visits and made him feel more at ease and less lonely. The food was very good and my uncle enjoyed the pot roast and the shrimp. The gym was large and spacious and there were a couple physical therapists for the seniors. Overall this was a fantastic facility that I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great care facility that won't break the bank or cost a large sum of money. One final note is that the rooms were very spacious and all featured a large flat screen television set. The bathrooms were also very large and spacious.

My mother was very resistant to enter an assisted living residence. She felt that her mobility would be further limited, and that entering such a facility was the same as giving up her freedom. The staff at Park Place was very understanding and were willing to come up with a plan that met her needs. Park Place maintains a social calender, and makes every effort to ensure that all residents have the opportunity to participate in many activities both on the campus and off. My mom was also resistant to meeting people in planed, structured groups, and insisted that the only other people living in an assisted living facility were invalads. Staff members worked hard to introduce my mom to more unstructured social environments, such as the cafe and shared living ares. My mom is very proud of her independance, and staff members have done very much to ensure that she does not lose that. My mom is not always the easiest client to work withand often times creates problems, complains loudly and bitterly, and insists things are done her way. Staff members have never been rude to her, and have gone out of their way to provide little comforts, such as blankets and snacks. My mom has commented that it feels more like a hotel then an appartment. Visiting my mother at the facility I am always impressed that the complex is always neat and tidy, and does not smell like a hospital as so many of the places we visited do. Also, the food served far exceeds our expectations.
