My mom’s a resident at Jewell, such a beautiful place. Clean & modern unit where she lives...decorated in a lovely manor with color coordinated furniture & beautiful lighting. The staff is helpful & gracious. She’s offered bath or shower regularly, assisted with meals & provided snacks. The nursing staff is excellent, mom loves how kind & attentive they are. We’re glad we found Jewell for mom, a great place for her.

I want to thank Jewell Care Center for the care that they provided for my mother. She was not an easy patient and they were very patient when she would give them fits with her care. They took the time with her that she needed because of her dementia. She came in from a fall with a broken hip she is now able to use her walker and is enjoying life in her new home Jewell Care Center. The food is wonderful and the activities in the center are centered around the residents and their likes. They were able to get my mother to all of her appointments. They have Dr.'s on staff that saw to her care along with the ability to have mobile xrays and labs drawn with an expedited result.

My friend was in the facility for a wile, most of the staff was Awful, a handful that cared, some Nurses don't speak English cant tell you what a patients illness is, meds not given because "I cant read the order".... there are other nurses that can help you, the facility was dirty, mold in my members room on the floor under a nightstand because half of the meds got spilled, what a mess. Management was aware of the situation but didn't do anything about it, Very bad place.

It felt as if my friend had been transferred to a third world country , no communication with people that worked there , nor were they friendly at all . Three weeks had passed before my friend got his first shower . His out of state family could not reach him by phone , ever , and his phone in his room worked as I checked it to be sure . The staff just plays dumb if you ask any questions , and just passes the buck to someone else who does the same if you can even understand them . Wish I could find something good to say , but I just can't !!!

My mother recently move in. The food is bad nothing healthy on the menu and juice is nothing but tropical punch. Very dissapointed with the staff I barely understand what there saying to me, never saw them taking vitals on my mother or taking properly care of her, if I need something from them like ice or mother to be changed they will make a dissapointed face. They are not friendly or nice to residents. I regret my mother is there but I'm looking for a better place just not fair for her. It took them 1 week to give her a first shower.

My loved one passed away, and after two months, I have heard not received a condolence from the Center. The mortuary that attended to my family member asked about a representative from Jewell Care center. To date, the family has not received a, card, email, or fax to express condolence. I am just glad she is not there any longer.

Do not take your loved one to Jewell Care Center. The care is awful. The food is not appropriate for consumption. Most of the CNA's and some staff members have bad attitudes and do not care about the residents well being.
