My sister is at The Courtyard Assisted Living. It's very nice and well-kept. The rooms are well-maintained and roomy. The staff does a great job. They are caring and I see a lot of activities going on. They're playing cards, putting puzzles together, and just all kinds of small stuff. My sister was complaining about the food though, that it doesn't have a lot of flavor, but overall it's great.

1. REAL caring staff, not the typical "just give me a paycheck". 2. No "kids" working there. They are career employees, many with 20+ years of employment at the Courtyard! 3. Medications are delivered by med techs, supervised receiving of the meds, great working relationship with a local pharmacy that delivers as much as three times a day. 4. Competitively priced with other assisted living facilities. 5. My Dad sys the food is very good which is saying something! 6. The cleanest facility I have seen as I have placed 4 parents and 1 close friend in care facilities in the past 20 years. 7. Rooms, if needed, may be recarpeted, painted, and thoroughly cleaned. I have placed my parents here for only two weeks as of this writing. More to come! Les Speckert

We chose The Courtyard Assisted Living for my father. He moved there five months ago. The staff is very friendly and very helpful, they try to make it like not so much an institution, but very down to Earth and very keeping that human. It's very accessible and the rooms look like a very small apartment, so it looks more like a home instead of a hospital. So, very private, it makes it feel like it's their own space. He is in tier two, so he needs assistance in showering, and help with them taking him to his appointments. My dad seems to enjoy the food, he hasn't complained that he doesn't like it. The dining area looked homey. They had housekeeping come and help him clean his place once a week. So it seemed clean. They have some games and they can do some outings, group outings like going to the store, or the movies. They can watch TV together. And I think they have some arts and crafts activities.

We had my father on the wait list at The Courtyard Assisted Living. It was very nice. I liked the grounds. The rooms were a little bit bigger than other places, and they have different facilities. The lady at the front desk was very nice.

The rooms in The Courtyard are almost the same as in other senior places, and they vary in places. I liked the one where you can just put your own bed in it along with a couple of recliners. The dining area looks pretty nice, like a quite restaurant. They have a decent menu and provide three meals a day. The one staff member I met seemed really nice. It sound like a very good place overall.

Courtyard Assisted Living was very expensive, but I loved it. I thought it was very nice and very pleasant. They had extremely nice people. I got to have lunch with my friend and it was very good. She moved out of her mobile home and into that. Her room was tiny, but sufficient for what her needs were. There were people that could go all over the place. They had different things for them. They had lots of activities. I thought they were great. After she came out of the hospital, they had to send her back to it. She had a stroke so she had to have more care. The people there were checking on her and they comforted me at one time. I had absolutely no problem with them. I liked the food, but she wasn't so thrilled about it. She said it was bland. I got served chicken and asparagus, and it was very good and well done. I never saw anything wrong with it. It's a good place.

I thought it was a very well maintained facility. Balanced diets were consistently present, and they had a very personable and very friendly staff. They had extremely knowledgeable nurses on staff, and the CNA's were very attentive to their patients. All of the patients were treated with a great amount of respect and dignity. The rooms had anything you could want. Cable television, a nice comfy chair to sit and watch it from, a bookshelf and a table with a bright light to read with, and a nice big window. The grounds and quad were always immaculate with beautiful flowers. They had an array of activities to do, everything from pottery and bingo, to arts and crafts. A wide variety of board games and companions to play them with were also present. It was a really enjoyable place to visit. My grandfather really enjoyed the time he spent there.

Today, Sept. 14, 2011, I visited The Courtyard, a 54 apartment assisted living facility, to see a friend residing there. The drive-up area and entrance is very open and appealing. Every area is open and nicely decorated. The staff is welcoming and informative. The general impression is one of elegant living but homey enough for comfort. Appears clean with no untoward odors. Three meals a day. Unable to visit an individual room; which I am told contains a kitchen sink, microwave, and refrig. Rooms are 450 to 500 sq ft. in area. The cost may be a bit more than some other facilities. Residnts comments are very positive.
