I am utterly shocked on how rude staff are here. A man opened the door and I asked to speak to their admissions department. I described exactly what would be needed as admission questions. He was very rude and shut the door on my face. Shortly a lady comes out and it was a nurse. More ruder then the man and explained my mom may be a difficult resident like she knew who my mom is. They do not want to deal with no one at all. Told me is $6000 a month and disclosed information about the patients there which HIPPA would not like to hear about this. She pawned me off to other facilities. I’m glad I’m not putting my mom at a place like this. Save your family do not come here unless you like to speak to rude employees.

When we went to Oakwood Memory & Senior Care, they weren't very prepared and seemed to not know that we were coming. The residents, the person who gave us the tour, and the activities director were very friendly. It was kind of dark and old and smelly and that would be the least impressive of any other ones that we visited. The activity room wasn't overly large, but it was big enough and they had an activity going on when I was there.

Oakwood Memory & Senior Care was very good. They tried to make it as homey as they could. They had shared and private rooms, which is good to give you options. They had a living room with a TV. It's more of a full-care facility. The dining area was set up nicely. The place was clean and orderly. The staff seemed to be very attentive to people and the residents seemed to be very comfortable.

This facility has been under new management since 2016. It has been renovated, painted, new roof, new furniture and the place looks excellent. They have great team and it is very pleasant environment and the entire team is great. They stay on top of all the changes for their residents and they have great activities and live singing in the afternoon, which everyone loves, including the visitors and resident. Great place to place your loved ones !!

Oakwood needed total makeover. To me, it was rundown and not even inviting. The shrubbery was not maintained, they have dirt and trash around, and the inside was just as bad. It looked like they needed destruction or maintenance. The paint on the walls needs to be redone, the bedrooms looked horrible. They showed me a cellar room where they stored the maintenance cleanups, trash cans, mops, and brooms in there; it was bad. This is the one I wouldn’t refer anyone to. The lady who introduced me was really nice.

Oakwood Senior Home was an excellent place and had Alzheimer's care. It's wonderful and excellent. I met the chef, and the dining room was beautiful. Everything was nice and bright. They had activities and dancing going on, and they showed me their activity board. They had an activity room where they watch movies.

The staff is very nice at Oakwood. It wasn’t a good fit for my mom from the get go. They’re assigned tables and specific sitting in the dining room.

My mom is already staying in Oakwood Senior Home. We picked it because it is close to me. Also, she has someone to talk to and be with. She has things to do, and I am really glad. It works out really well. Her room is good. It is actually for two people, but she has been there by herself; I don't think it will matter if someone else is there. However, the dementia has her, so she likes the food for a week, then hate if for a day, and then like, it again. She is up and down. The people are very nice and very helpful. If there is anything wrong, they always call me. She likes it there. My wife has been a nurse for 30 years, and she's finally glad that mom's happy somewhere.
