Carmel Home Care was very nice, clean, and professional looking. I liked it. The owner who gave me the tour was very good, very personal, and seemed very caring. She's concerned whether her staff would be able to handle lifting Mom because she is bedbound. Cost is also a concern. The location was good, but the front door is on a busy street and there's no parking in front because there's a fire hydrant there. You have to park on the side street and enter the side door. They had an activity schedule.

Carmel Home Care was a little smaller than what I thought my aunt would be comfortable with. The residents seemed a little bit more wheelchair-bound. It was clean, and they were setting out lunch for people, which looked good, and the location was very nice. The person who showed me around was very informative, let me see anything that I asked to see, and showed me their license. The apartments were small, because it is an older home, and it seemed a little dark. The patio and yard were nice.

I chose this community because I liked the people that worked there. They took care of all of my mom's needs and made her feel like she was a part of a family. The staff was excellent, and they went above and beyond. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
