I toured Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. They just seemed to have everything. The only issue is that it is very expensive. The staff was not only helpful, but they were good with my kids being there. They have a library. They have a doctor. They've got physical therapy. They've got a massage. They've got a movie theater. You name it, they got it. It is a great place if you can afford it.

I had a very good tour of Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. The facility was great. One of the things I liked was they had a rehabilitation center on site. They had RNs on staff, so it seemed like they could give high-quality service. The rooms had nice window views and a nice layout. The staff was very friendly, and the gentleman who showed us around was excellent. They provided transportation for trips and shopping, and doctor's appointments. They had a movie theater, a salon, a massage room, and a game room. They gave us a gift, a dessert when we left and that was very good.

We liked Oakmont of San Antonio Heights because it has been around for a while. So, it's more established. I saw a lot of people walking around and everybody seemed to be enjoying the place well. Everybody was so friendly to each other. They allowed pets, which was a big thing. They have several nurses there and the person that gave us the tour was excellent. We liked that there's a lot of greenery and a lot of warm colors. The rooms were beautiful and also warm-looking. They have a beautiful movie room where they show movies a few times a week and people can select movies and then have them shown the following week. They have physical therapy, crafts, and different groups for people to do. There were a lot of people in their dining room and they all seemed to enjoy each other's company. The people who run it knew everybody.

We visited Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. It's a great location and a very nice facility. The room was nice. It was probably the most spacious of any that we saw. They had a nice library. The grounds were very nice. They had a very nice front entrance and very well-kept manicured landscaping. I just didn't care for their particular COVID rules. The staff was very welcoming and very nice. I was very pleased with the staff. Our problem with Oakmont was it was considerably more expensive than the rest. They had a much nicer menu, and the food appeared to be nicer. They had a nice dining room. There were a lot more things you'd be paying for out of pocket after your monthly expenses as well, like wi-fi and other bills. It seemed like there were more add-ons on top of being more expensive to start with.

We toured Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. Fantastic. They were great every step of the way. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We talked about what I perceived my parents' needs were. She had some very good advice. She had just kind of gone through the same thing with her grandmother, and so she was very helpful on the advice. The facility was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were top of the line, very, very nice, and esthetically very pleasing. It's a newer facility, so the rooms look high end and luxurious. The amenities include doing the laundry, food, and activities set up for the people. They had a gorgeous and huge library. I was surprised at how big the library was there. There were lots of sitting areas and games. It was a very inviting atmosphere. They did send home some baked goods, so my wife enjoyed those very much. I would like to move there myself.

I went to Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. It is really beautiful, but it's a little too opulent and a little too fancy. It's a beautiful location. It's right next to the mountains. It was a nice experience, and I liked visiting it. The staff members were very nice and friendly. The rooms are very nice. One was overlooking the mountains, so you could get a view of the mountains. They have a fitness center, salon, massage, movie theater, library, and lots of fireplaces. The food is very good. If you don't like one thing, you could choose another. I didn't eat any food, but the menu looked good. There is also a place where you can have coffee, tea, fruit, and snack any time. But for me, it was hard to get around because I use a walker, and I got really tired. So they had to get me a wheelchair.

Oakmont of San Antonio Heights was quite a magnificent building. It's a little bit smaller than the other ones I visited, but a very nice building. Everything (the detail) was very nice. It wasn't quite as grand as the others, but it was still a really nice facility with nice rooms and a fine-looking dining room. I haven't seen any better. Everybody's very helpful and cooperative. The menus were the best. The facilities, the architecture, and the environment were very top rate. Everything was meticulously clean. It's just a well-done facility. They had exercise and arts and crafts. It's close to a hospital.

My mom moved to assisted living 6 years ago, and for the last 4 years has been in memory care. Her geriatric assessments have gone down very little because of the activities, socialization and absolutely lovely staff. The facility is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and through the difficult process of Covid, we always know she is in safe and caring hands. These folks have become family to us and I would advise anyone to tour this wonderful facility.

Excellent facility, very caring about the residents. I am so very pleased Mom is at Oakmont. The staff is lovely, the facility clean, modern, and all around first rate. Having your loved one at Oakmont makes it a bit easier to deal with their end of life issues as you know they are getting the very best care possible.

I went to Oakmont of San Antonio Heights. I couldn't go into the rooms because of coronavirus, we're just looking at the lounge, the lobby, and the employees that are walking by. They were very pleasant, very cordial, and the surroundings were very clean. That would be my number one. I really liked that. They told me all the stuff that they did, everything that they offered, the size of the rooms, and the gentleman there, Scotty, explained everything to me, moneywise, and how much everything would cost.

Oakmont of San Antonio Heights was very nice, but it was too expensive for my father. The room was nice. The person during the tour was great and very informative. The dining area was nice, too. The place was clean and professional looking. They were just setting up for activities when I was there. They had everything. It was fancy.

I would give Oakmont a five because it's very new, extremely clean, and very nice. I like everything about it. I like the layout and rooms. Their facilities were the best among the ones that I have visited. I did not meet everybody, but the staff members that I met were very professional and very nice.

Oakmont was outstanding, and I was impressed. The staff talked about the care of the patients, it was lovely, and it was a place I would go, but it was expensive. It's new, very well-laid out, the interior is beautiful, and they have lovely grounds. They are very well set up to help their patients, and they have a low patient load. The activities are more sophisticated, and they try to accommodate activities pertinent to the experiences of the patient.

Oakmont was very nice but overpriced. Everything was very nice. I had a delicious meal. It wouldn’t be the type of place that would be best for my husband.

Oakmont of San Antonio Heights was a very beautiful place. It seemed like they have very confident caregivers, and we liked it a lot. They showed us the room and walked us through even though they did not know we were coming. They had activities going on, which we thought were very nice. It was a wonderful place to live. The lady who helped us was extremely knowledgeable and nice. We were impressed with everything we saw there. In their memory care, there was an entertainer who was singing, and the group was sitting around and singing with him. It was very nice.

When I first walked in at Oakmont of San Antonio Heights, I actually wrote down that it was lovely. My daughter had the same response. It had very nice people in a really nice community. It's close to Mom's doctor and the hospital. The location is what tipped it in its favor. The staff has been great. When I walked into Mom's room, I felt like walking into a room in a Palm Springs resort. It was really nice, very clean, very bright, roomy, and very pretty.

Oakmont of San Antonio Heights was nice and beautiful, but the price was a little too high. They had activity room in the front. The dining area was nice and formal. The staff was very pleasant and nice. They send me flyers and invites to come and join them in activities.

Oakmont of San Antonio Heights was incredibly well appointed. It's a beautiful facility. We visited their memory care unit, and there's so many activities to keep the seniors engaged, so we were very impressed. It's close to $5,000 per month, but for what they offer, it's definitely worth it.

Oakmont of San Antonio Heights was too far out. It was very pretty and very country-like. There were no outdoor patios though. It was not for us.

When Oakmont opened, we had a tour, and it was a really nice place. We moved my mother-in-law there, but it's a big mistake. They opened just last year, and it's so disorganized. Her room is spacious, but not furnished; we had to provide our own. Right now, she is not interested in any of their activities. She hates it there. The people who are working there have no idea what's going on around.
Provider Response
Dear Family, We are deeply sorry to hear you feel it was a mistake moving your mother-in-law into our community. We take a lot of pride in hand selecting staff to work at our communities who are attentive and dedicated. We are also dedicated to having a weekly array of activities that spark the interest of all of our residents, and are always open to new suggestions. With regards to her apartment home, all of our units are rented unfurnished so our residents can bring their own belongings and immediately feel at home in their new surroundings. Here at Oakmont, we have an open door policy and I welcome meeting with both you and your mother-in-law to discuss any needs that you feel are currently being unmet so we can address and resolve them and ease your concerns. We value each of our residents, and their happiness is our utmost priority. Again, thank you for your feedback. Sincerely, Erika Lemon Executive Director Oakmont of San Antonio Heights

Oakmont would be the perfect place, but it was too expensive for us. The rooms were beautiful -- beautifully furnished and appointed. The people there were great. The staff was wonderful. We ate lunch there, there’s a menu where you can order from, and the food was very good. They sound like they had a very good program for their memory care unit.
