My dad was at Vermont Care Center. It was more like a hospital, but it was very nice and clean. The food was excellent, and my dad ate everything. All the people were very helpful and very informative. They had very good physical therapy. My dad hated it, but he did it just because they made him to do it. He didn't want anything to do with any activities; he just wanted to stay in his room. Overall, it was a good place if you couldn't afford a better place.

My dad is in Vermont Care Center, and I like it because it's close to where I live. They take him to a room where they sing together, a minister comes out on Sundays, and they seem to take good care of him. The place is clean, and you don't smell any urine.

My mom is in Vermont Care Center, but I didn’t particularly care for the new ownership, so I’m just trying to give them a chance to see if they’re going to get things better. Before they changed ownership, they had better caring nurses, and the activities were better. Now they have a lot of younger nurses that don’t really care about the patients and to me, all they want to do is give my mother like a doped-up pill to keep her drugged. I think the quality has gone down tremendously, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Before, I highly recommended them, but I wouldn’t recommend them to someone that had a pet.

Vermont Care Center was very nice, very clean, and organized. The food was very good. The nurses and the employees were very professional, compassionate, and caring. They had activities, but unfortunately, my dad had dementia, so he would not participate. He was well-taken care of. He needed peace, and they would give him peace, and it was very good. I think he was the happier than in any of the nursing homes that he was in before. I have recommended them to other people.

This facility was located in Torrance, CA. It was close to our home so my family decided that she stay here. One of our family members had cancer so we were unable to provide a healthy living for our grandma. I don't know if she enjoyed living there because she was so good at hiding her emotions. I felt bad for her because she didn't speak English so it was hard for her to communicate her emotions to the nurses and fellow residents. The nurses and employees at Vermont Care Center were very kind and affable.
