My mother is in Sunnyside (Sunnyside Retirement Center). It's awesome. My mother loves it there. Their people really do care. They take good care of my mother. It's a really nice community. They have exercise program everyday every morning, and they have arts and crafts. The rooms are very clean too.

THE LACK OF COMPASSION AND CARE WOULD MAKE ME RATE THIS FACILITY AT ONE. MY MOTHER WAS SENT THERE AFTER BREAKING HER LEG AT AGE NINETY. ABSOLUTELY BED RIDDEN SHE HAS TO LAY IN HER OWN URINE WITH NO ONE RESPONDING TO THE BUTTON AT THE BED. YESTERDAY A WOMAN LEFT HER HALF NAKED FOR AN HOUR AND NO ONE WOULD ASSIST HER. ADMINISTRATOR IS RUDE AND SPEAKS OVER YOU WHILE YOUR TALKING. MONEY IS THE ONLY THING THERE INTERESTED IN. DONT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES THERE

My mother was in Sunnyside Nursing Center for a week, and it was pretty great. It was a good place, and she liked it there. We're highly satisfied with how they gave her therapy. They gave her strength back. The staff was pretty good. I had nothing to complain about. They gave her pretty good meals, and she liked that they were walking her to the garden.

I'm acquainted with Sunnyside Nursing Center because my husband has been there twice for intensive therapy. He was there for the therapy, and once he was ready to come out, I brought him home. They also have a long term care facility. The therapy is excellent, and the therapists are good. The nursing staffs are friendly. As far as being clean, you can give the place a three or four. The rooms are very crowded having three patients to a room. They have a big window, and they do have cleaning every day, but somehow it doesn't look that clean.

I've gone to Sunnyside, and I actually have family members there. They're upgrading, but it is your typical nursing home setting. The rooms are horrible, the stench is horrible, and the care is horrible. It is not worth it. There is nothing great about the dining area. The staff is too busy with people, so they are not really providing the care. It's just an old hospital. The entrance and the offices to the place are upgraded, but the actual living quarters for the residents are horrible. The beds are horrible. It's an old hospital bed. You are in a nursing home if you walk in there. It stinks and is not appeasing. They just lack the care and lack the compassion.

Dad fell out of bed and broke his hip. He had a partial hip replacement and he was placed on a rehab facility in Arizona before we put him in Sunnyside Nursing for a couple of weeks now. So far so good. I don't have a problem. It is a large facility. They're licensed to have 299 people and they offer both long-term and short-term care. Dad has a stage 3 bed sore and they're treating it. I had a meeting with the social worker and the nurse and they told me he's progressing and he's walking. He's 95 years old, so it's a slow process. And I have no complaint really. They're really on top of their stuff. The place doesn't smell, it's very clean, and the staff is very friendly. He's been there for a couple of weeks now. Everything is all good.

Sunnyside Nursing Center offers a clean, comfortable, quiet and safety conscious environment for the patient. The level of nursing care is well above average. The staff members are professional, reassuring, and knowledgeable. The staff members demonstrate true concern and compassion. The Sunnyside team members sincerely offer patients and their family members "peace of mind" regarding competent patient care.
