I would give the Lighthouse an A+ so far. They are doing a great job. I couldn’t speak more highly of the lady who runs it. Cynthia is a wonderful person. It is perfect, and my brother is happy. They wash their clothes, fold them, and put them back in. It is a wonderful place. The people are nice and kind, and the food is good. My loved one has never complained about the food. He has the freedom to come and go as he chooses; all he has to do is sign out and sign in. There are so many things to do.

The Lighthouse was very pleasant and nice, but a bit confined. The rooms were standard, not spacious, but looked fairly clean and inhabitable. I spoke with the owner and she was very helpful. They didn't have as many activities as the other community we visited. They have a community room with a TV. The problem was when I wanted to make an appointment with the operations manager, our schedules never jived, although she was very nice. When it comes to the pricing, it bugs me that there are extra fees for transportation to and from the hospital. The price is high enough, so I think they should include that.

The Lighthouse was OK, but they wouldn’t accommodate me with my electric wheelchair. They only showed me the patio, the living room, and the dining room. I didn’t like the attitude of the people there. They didn’t seem to want to get people to live there.

We visited two places so far, and one of them was The Lighthouse. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the place. It was clean and nice, but the rooms were smaller. The staff was OK, but the place felt older. They also don’t have a lot of activities for their residents com`pared to the other places.
