"My brother lives here. They have pretty small rooms. They have two people in a room. It's kind of a residential setting. It is like a small apartment and it is fine. They take care of my brother. So, I'm happy with the work they do. The staff seems really nice and caring. I was a little concerned in the beginning, but now that he's been there a while, I think they try to take care and see to his needs. I saw the food and my brother seemed to like it all right. They have a little small room where they sometimes get together. They got puzzles and a small library."

"I liked the way the rooms were set up at Monte Vista Village. They were a single story and it's surrounded by grassy areas. It's closer to being at home than being in the hospital. The staff was very good. They showed me whatever I wanted to see, and gave me whatever information I asked for. The rooms were much larger and set up much better than I thought they were going to be. Their dining area was very pleasant. They had groups of people around tables doing stuff. It shows that people participate in activities. They have in-house physical therapy, too."

"We toured here. We didn't tour anything but the room that my loved one would be staying in because of coronavirus. It was a small, but nice room connected to another room with a shared bathroom. I only met one staff member, but she was very knowledgeable, very nice, and helpful. They didn't have an outdoor area."

I had to do the "where do we go?" dance with my mother, 22 years ago, in the antelope valley. God, for a place like this, then. There wasn't, and I went thru 25 of them, all over the Mojave basin. So my wife, her sisters, and I were looking couple years back. We had a placement agent helping, and she said "I'm going to show you my best place first." We came, we saw, we chatted. In the car, before leaving, i said "I'm going back in there and give her $1,000 to hold the room she has available till the end of the day, so it doesn't disappear." The sisters said that is dumb. Off we went, and went to three other places. After that, they were in a big hurry to get back and leave a check. They did, and Ruth was there for the rest of her life, and loved it. They give a shit. They really do. You can't buy what is given there. Anywhere."

"My mother moved into Belmont Village Sabre Springs and is now adjusting quite well. She now refers to it as the hotel, which is a good thing. With her particular level of dementia, they have created a particular program called A Circle of Friends. So they help her with her needs in the mornings, and she joins her Circle of Friends for the day. After her final meal in the evening we hired outside help for a couple of hours when she tends to have Sundown Syndrome, and they help her get ready for bed. So her whole day is pretty full, and she seems to sleep pretty well. Her circle of friends are the same every day, and are in the same level of dementia that she is. They keep them busy with activities and current activities, and they do a great job of that. The living environment is very clean and they keep it very well-maintained. The restaurant there continues to have a daily special for each meal, and they also have a reliable menu with different items. So there's a lot of variety available. They have movies, a little bit of wine tastings in the afternoon, and all of that comes with entertainment. They honor whatever holiday it is, and they involve the residents in the best possible way. They are keeping them active with projects, arts and crafts, and trivia; it's a pretty novel program. The staff is always very responsive. The food is excellent, I've dined in the dining room a couple of times. and it's been great. I'm going to say that for the price we're getting exactly what we need."

"We chose it because it was clean, the people were friendly and it was close to my home. The staff were friendly and helpful even to me. The rooms were spacious. I would recommend this facility to other people. "

"I had an excellent tour. The facility was very nice. They're going through a remodel of the lobby area and the shared space area. They haven't started that yet, but that would be very nice. The room I saw was an empty one-bedroom and it was very, very nice. All in all, I was quite impressed. The lady that gave the tour was very friendly, nice, and happy. The layout for independent living was on an entire floor of its own. It was a very nice layout. They had a beautiful outdoor area where residents could sit at. There were trees around. I loved the fact that it's outdoors in the suburbs with not a lot of traffic going by, so it's a very pretty area of town. They had a salon/barber, church services, a library, and games. I saw someone conducting bingo in another room so that was nice because they had separate rooms for their get-togethers."

"My mother moved into Gold Canyon Care Home. They seem pretty good so far. Everybody is really nice. Her room is very nice. She's going to end up with a roommate, but right now there's no roommate. She has a closet, a dresser, and they put pictures up on the dresser. She has a TV in the room. The bed looks like it will move, it's got like the up and down thing, like a hospital bed, and that's good. I think she'll like that. The first day I was there, they brought home some deli Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, and it was really good. But my mom didn't like eating that day, so they told me to give her Ensure. They have games, and they have a time where they all get together and do things together in one big room. It looks like they have a nice big kitchen and a lot of staff. They have lots of bathrooms, it's the walk-in kind, they can wheelchair her in and give her a bath. They have a patio deck going all the way around the house, and in the backyard they have a big view looking over a canyon, and they have barbecues out there. It's very nice."

"We signed a contract for my mom at Westmont at San Miguel Ranch. It's been great so far, and we hope it will stay that way. The staff member who assisted me during the tour was really helpful, really kind, and very sensitive to everything that's going on in my mom's life. They are really great. The place has a great building that's very well taken care of, it's nicely decorated, and has nice amenities. It's as nice as we can hope for. The rooms are comparable to others we had looked at, but in some ways they are more upgraded. My mom is going to have a room on the top floor of the building, and it has 12-foot high ceilings which makes it feel much bigger. The room also has a pretty juliet balcony which makes her feel like she's outside without being outside. The kitchen is well appointed, it has stainless-steel appliances, nice countertops and cabinets, and everything is in very good shape. They were painting and getting it all cleaned up after the previous tenant when we were there. We had lunch there and it was very good. We ordered different things and we liked what we had. The staff was very friendly."

"I visited the Vi at La Jolla Village retirement community last December when I was on christmas vacation in San Diego. My grandparents live here and we went to visit them. It was my first time visiting since they moved there. It is a great place to live. It has a great location in San Diego, with many activities surrounding the place. The staff was very warm and helpful to us. It is cool how this place looks like a hotel, and that is because it used to be one. The layout of the building is very upscale as well. Everything is kept clean and is in order. There are also great amenities that my grand parents love. They also have great dining here, I was lucky enough to get to eat a few of their meals. It seems like it would be a great place to retire. I would recommend! "

"It was clean. We weren't impressed with it as much as the other place because of its location to our house. The rooms weren't as big as those at the other facility. The staff was knowledgeable. They have a courtyard area, a gym, and a library. The hospital is down the road, maybe about three or four miles."

They had all kinds of interactions with the residents. They had outings for the residents. They were just wonderful. The rooms were big and spacious, and the studios were wonderful."
