My husband's Aunt lived at Pacific Gardens for several years at the end of her life. She went from living alone in her home with some outside help a few hours a week to Pacific Gardens and the family was very worried about her transition. Our chief complaint was that she didn't move in sooner. Within two weeks she was regularly sitting with a group in the dining room and participating in a few of the provided activities. When we visited, all the staff knew her name and would address her with a friendly hello. I visited several times a week for the years she lived there and got to know some of the staff myself. We always felt comfortable with her living there and she seemed to enjoy herself. There would often be singers and other musicians to entertain the people who lived there, they activity staff would give drinks and lights snacks, our Aunt always liked the happy hour snack gatherings. Pacific Gardens has a bus service that takes residents to appointments and to outside activities. We never planned on using it to take our Aunt to any appointments but we got caught in a bind once and the office staff happily arranged to take her to an appointment and my husband was able to meet the bus in front of the hospital. In the years she lived there, we were impressed with the food, our whole family even enjoyed a Thanksgiving dinner there. Overall, we were very happy with Pacific Gardens and would recommend it to anyone looking for a small community for themselves or a loved one.

From what I saw, Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support seemed to try and keep the patients active and not just in their rooms alone. They have goals for the memory care people to get them up, move them around, stimulate them, do what they can handle, and also be on a schedule of taking people to the restroom and those kinds of things. All the staff looked very interactive. When they see someone touring, they say hello. Everybody does that, including housekeeping. They believe in thei...

My godmother had lived in her home for over 60 years. She didn't want to leave but knew she couldn't stay any longer. Family members looked at numerous facilities until we found Pacific Gardens. My godmother felt very comfortable there until she passed. The staff was wonderful to her, they were warm and caring and made sure she was included in many activities. This attention was important because her eyesight was very poor. She loved the activities and the camaraderie with other residents. The f...

Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support was really good. I liked the tour and I liked the way they do things, but even more than that, I know someone within a couple of blocks from that place and I'm there a lot, so I see them bringing the people for walks, getting them out outside the facility. They take them out, they get them to exercise, so they're doing what they say. I'm very impressed with that. I think that's a really good place. The lady that did the interview was nice. She s...

Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support had a very homey feeling. It was very comfortable. The rooms were lovely. Where they eat and dine was very nice. It was situated in a nice and safe neighborhood. The staff was extremely wonderful and very informative, trying to figure out what would be our specific needs, and she had a lot of knowledge about the healthcare industry. It was extremely clean. It seemed like they had different kinds of opportunities for people to have different activi...

I've toured Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support. Both assisted living and memory care are combined, one side of the facility is memory care and the other side is assisted living, and they commingle. My first impression is that the place is cold. The apartments look fine, it's just that the rest of the facility gave me a real institutional kind of appeal. It did not elicit happy feelings, in me anyway. The staff who gave the tour was fine, she was friendly and accommodating and seeme...

Making the decision that it’s time for a loved one to move to an assisted care facility is a difficult one. I know it was for my family. With many questions and many choices, we feel so fortunate to have found such a caring place as Pacific Gardens. My great aunt spent her last year and a half there after macular degeneration took her sight and her ability to be the active woman she had always been. The staff of PG became her eyes—they enabled her meet new friends, participate in group events an...

My mom moved into Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support. I like everything. They're very pleasant. They're very kind. They seem very professional and caring. She's in a studio apartment. The dining room is very elegant. The main gathering room is extremely elegant, with the fireplace, piano, veterans wall to honor the veterans, very luxurious furniture, and all kinds of nice things. Very well-appointed. She enjoys going into the dining room and meeting people, and she's playing the pi...

Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support was a much bigger facility. I saw the memory care department, but I didn't see anything going on there so the part I saw well, was the assisted living. It feels much more like a hotel. It's very big and open, and the apartments feel like a hotel as compared to someone's house. Everywhere else that I went was kind of a house that was adjusted to be an assisted living care. This one was like a hotel or something that they redid so it has a much more...

I went in person to the Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support. It seemed like a really nice place. They had exercise facilities and a salon, pretty much any service that your person would need, they'd be able to get. They had ride service, and it seemed really good. It had a family feel to it because it's not a big corporation running thing, just a single entity. It would be nice if the memory care area had a larger area to walk around in, but the assisted living area was really nice.

Lisa, the person who helped us at Pacific Gardens Assisted Living & Memory Support, was really generous with information about the options available to help our dad, which I really appreciated because it didn't feel like a sales pitch. She was the best part of it because she was really helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. They had a workout room where they could do yoga, and since my dad has PT, his physical therapist could come and use their equipment which was really convenient. They also p...

Pacific Gardens was very nice. The director showed me around and it met the criteria for what I was looking for. The rooms were very nicely done including the dining room and all the accommodations. Everyone seemed happy and well cared for. They said that if they couldn't be at home, that's where they would want to be. They're strong supporters of military and veterans and those who had served. There were various picture frames around where they honor different people. They had a lot of activiti...

We liked Pacific Gardens a lot. It was small but very nice. The people were friendly, and the tour guide took us around to everything, answered all of our questions, and gave us a brochure about what we've seen. They had an exercise room, a library, and a barber shop. My principal objection to it were the fees and the organizational setup. I liked the common areas and the outside courtyard. It wasn't affiliated with a skilled nursing facility.

I visited Pacific Gardens. It's pretty closed in and contained in one building. I did not see any outdoor space. The staff was very helpful.

Pacific Gardens was very friendly, and they had someone greet me and give me a tour of the facility. She's very friendly and had a lot of information. The facility seemed very nice with more up to date interiors. They had some musicians come and perform at the time, and the seniors were engaged in the activity which was great to see. They had a nice salon and nursing staff to care for medicines. They had a nice courtyard with gardening available for the seniors. Overall, it was very nice.

Pacific Gardens seemed more frank about the situation. Some places tell you, we have all these things, and it’s like everything is going to be fine. They realized what we realized: it’s not that easy to get people to do everything. You think also a lot of things, but not everybody is going to take it, and they were more open about that. They were down to earth type of people. It’s not the most shiny place that I visited. It's not the most beautiful but it seems like I got the feeling that what t...

Pacific Gardens is very nice. It's a little bit more expensive. The place has a lot of activities and amenities. The rooms are not quite as large, but they're very conveniently laid out. They also have memory care. The residents seem happy and content. The staff has a pleasant, helpful attitude. I like the director a lot. I think he is very efficient, kind, and caring.

The people at Pacific Gardens were very friendly and communicated well with the relatives. The cleanliness of the place was average. I was absolutely content with the kind of service they gave my mom. The food quality was average, too.

My dad was at Pacific Gardens for almost 2 ½ years to 3 years, and he was asked to leave. He got very upset with people stopping in their wheelchairs right in the middle of the hallway, and he couldn’t get around them. Somebody ran over his foot with his wheelchair, and he got upset with that. They said he had to leave, so he did. Pacific Gardens is a large facility, probably about 200 residents. There were couples and individuals there. He had a studio room. They had lots of activities; they’d...

Pacific Gardens is nice and small. It’s clean, and the food is great. I would absolutely recommend them. They offer a wide variety of activities, and they also have some memory programs. Also they do outings, shopping, and scenic drives.

I found everything very nice at Pacific Gardens. The cleanliness is good, the friendliness is fine, and it was very professional. My husband is currently in a different community, so I had something to go on when I was looking. I was very impressed with the person who talked with me and took me on the tour. She was very friendly, and I thought the staff was very nice. In terms with how it compares to my husband's place, it is very comparable although it is not as fancy. That is not a concern to ...

Pacific Gardens is a beautiful place. It is very, very well kept, but it is two-story. My husband would have been on the second floor and have to go three hallways to get to his room. That's no good. The place was pleasant. It was very nice. However, when they told me where he would be, I don't want that. My first impression, I thought it was a really lovely place. For assisted living, it would be wonderful, but not for memory care. The staff was very happy to take me through and showed us the d...

Pacific Gardens looked like a real nice facility. It looked like they had a lot of activities going on for the people. They had a real garden area outside that they could do stuff in. The people that we had contact with were very nice, very professional and very thorough with their explanation. I think their prices were not as inexpensive we thought it was going to be.

Mom is at Pacific Gardens and everybody there is very kind. The staff are very attentive to the residents as much as they can. They seem to care about the residents that they take care of. They are very busy and competent. My mother has a studio apartment there. It is very nice and suitable to her needs. It has a bathroom and a small kitchenette. It has twin bed and a small area where she can have her recliner and table. They supplied some of the furniture and we brought some also. I think its v...

My father-in-law is now staying in Pacific Gardens. It is a nice and clean facility. It is rather expensive though. The people are nice and the nurses are really attentive. They have many activities for their residents. They have bingo, game nights, and movie nights. They also have some outings but my father-in-law is not able to go because he has dementia, so he is more of a lockdown situation where he is not able to go around and out by himself. What I don't like about this facility is that th...

My parents are now in an assisted living facility called Pacific Gardens. This facility also specializes in Alzheimer's and memory care. We chose this facility because it was close to our homes. All three of us children are living in Santa Clara, so that was one factor. It also came highly recommended when I went online to see the feedback of other people. Their feedback was really good. I also like their staff there. They are just incredible. My dad had a hard time when he first went in because...

My mother moved to assisted living in her early 90s. A friend of hers also moved to PG. The staff worked to help them each stay independent as long as possible. At 95 Mom is now in the Memory Care Unit receiving Hospice Care. Some of the aides caring for her have known her since she moved there. I have been impressed with the consistent concern for the residents' welfare. Of course over the years there have been hiccups, but that's a natural part of life. Staff is helpful alnd responsive to fa...

My former English teacher lives here, and I've visited her many times. She is 92 and very happy here. In fact, she runs a monthly book group for former students in one of the very pleasant lounge areas here. When you walk in the door, you're greeted by music by Frank Sinatra. The decor is that of a four-star hotel, and the food is tasty and sophisticated. I've eaten in the dining room several times and never felt that I was getting institutional food. The individual units (studios and one-bedroo...
