My mom is at Belmont Village Senior Living Sunnyvale. It's a clean and very nice community. The staff is very friendly, and they seem to know all the residents by name. The residents all looked very happy too. It's almost like a little hotel. The dining area seems nice, open, and clean. They have a nice outdoor garden and walking area too, which were very nice. One of the residents said she always enjoys their dinner. Also, I saw what my mom had, and it looked pretty good. It was steak, vegetables, potatoes, and so the meals seem to be great. They have a ton of activities and options for them, like there's a date night, a gentleman's night, and a violinist playing outside.

Belmont Village Sunnyvale looked wonderful. It was clean. There was plenty of staff. There were a lot of options for amenities. Memory care has less just because it is memory care, but the whole facility was inviting and so forth. The other day I was there, they had a musician in. Then some places had a gaming table if you wanted to play cards and an exercise space. So, there were 3 or 4 different things available. The dining area was nice. It's almost like a restaurant. It's pretty.

My mom stayed at Belmont Village Sunnyvale. They didn't have enough staff. The staffing was limited to meet every single person's needs, so my mom was neglected. She got a UTI because she has a urostomy bag, and they didn't change it or help maintain it. They had a chef who was aspiring to be gourmet, so the food isn't as good. The facility was very clean and nice. They had live performances, a piano player, arts and crafts, and a beautiful garden where they could go out and sit together as a group.

I toured Belmont Village Sunnyvale for my friend. The tour was very nice. The lady showed me around, gave me all the information that I needed, showed me all the facilities, and even took me inside one of the places. She also answered all my questions. The room was good for one person. It's a good size. It had a kitchenette, a wheelchair-accessible bathroom, and a TV. It was very nice. They had a common room where people could go and cook which was nice. Then they had snacks available, too. I thought it was good that the seniors were doing their own thing. Some people were playing games. Some people are doing their laundry. I think it was a pleasant atmosphere. They had yoga, they had an exercise room, haircutting, and massage. They also had a garden kind of an area. They have a lot of stuff. They have a game room, computer, TV, and a common area.

My mother-in-law will be moving into Belmont Village Sunnyvale. Tim, the sales guy, was very detailed. He asked a lot of questions as to what my mother-in-law's needs were. And I felt that because he was so detailed in trying to understand what her needs were, her needs would be met much better. They had a chef, so their menu was so ample and there was such a variety of food. I went into the dining hall, and I saw that there were a lot of seniors interacting with each other at the tables. They all looked happy and they were eating well. The quality of the food looked very good. They said we could join my mother-in-law any time, and it was $10 a meal for us. It was just so welcoming and warm there.

The staff at Belmont Village Sunnyvale was extremely professional, very friendly, and upbeat. The facilities themselves seemed very nice. It could use a little bit of updating and upkeep, but nothing major at all. It seemed very clean. The residents looked happy. The Executive Director who came to meet with me was extremely clear on what they would need from us. They were very straightforward and clear, and I appreciated that. They had a physical therapy room on site, and their courtyard was really lovely. They seemed to allow small dogs, which was nice. The people who work there seemed to have worked there for a long time. It was clear that they care about the residents and the community that they're working with.

I'm very impressed with Belmont Village Sunnyvale. They have everything you would expect. It's very clean, very well kept, and organized. The staff seemed very attentive. I think they handle almost all levels of care, which was impressive. It was a good location. I was interested in memory care. If I needed a facility to move my family member, I would probably move them to that facility. They're very nice and very accommodating.

We toured Belmont Village Sunnyvale, and it's really clean. The people were pretty friendly and the person who toured me was very helpful. At the time, they were all just playing some games. What I was looking for mainly was if they had any openings for my aunt. The more expensive ones seem to have a better view. The windows of the other ones were kind of facing the parking lot or the back of the building, but they were all decent-sized and the bathrooms were pretty well equipped for safety for all of the people there. It was set up to be very safe. Every one of the people that I talked to were really nice and very informative.

We decided to keep our mother in Belmont Village Sunnyvale since we were able to negotiate a price for her that we could keep her in her apartment there. And that's negotiated for 2 years. My mom likes the people that work there; they're friendly and warm. That's why we didn't want to move her because she got used to the people there and they are attentive and caring. It's a really clean facility and it's a community facility. The only downfall is they're pricey, but the people make the difference there. In terms of amenities, their garden is beautiful and they can go out because it's a very secure garden. It feels like home and while other places smell like old people, this one doesn't. They keep them clean and they just remodeled the memory care. So when you go in, it feels like you're going into a home and not into a family. I think their pricing was too expensive.

Belmont Village Sunnyvale was very pretty. The only big drawback was that it was too expensive for us. The staff members were very nice and accommodating. The facility was absolutely gorgeous. It was very clean and very up-to-date. They have a salon. It was close to places that my Aunt would go. It was close to El Camino Real which is a shopping street.

Belmont Village Sunnyvale was really nice. If you have a senior that wants to be more social, that's a really good place to go, 'cause they do a lot of social activities there. They're a multi-floor facility, so the memory care is on the first floor. I think they had a workout area, a salon, and a full dining room with three meals a day. The memory care people had staff to help people eat, if they needed assistance with that. There was a large area that people could walk around in and people could visit in. I wouldn't say it's near the hospital, but it was in proximity. You can get to a hospital within 15 minutes from the location.

Belmont Village Sunnyvale was immaculate and pristine, and their residents seemed to be very happy. It's gorgeous. They have every activity you could think of, transportation, floral arranging, card games, and memory games. I only met Leslie and she was very nice.

Belmont Village Sunnyvale was brand new and modern. The tour was wonderful. We were thinking about it for awhile, but I don't think they were set up to do assisted living at that moment. We had lunch with one staff, but it didn't go very well with my sister-in-law. She didn't like it. The setting was quite nice, but it didn't work out. The food was excellent, and the dining area was very beautiful. The rooms looked wonderful and brand new, but again, there was something that didn't sit right with us.

What I like about Belmont Village was that it was close, it was clean, and it met what our needs time-frame wise. We also like the fact that everything was self-contained, so we didn’t have to worry about having to go to any place. They have a lot of programs that worked out really well for us during that time frame. We didn’t have to worry about transportation. They had sufficient staff to be able to get through each of the rotation. They had nursing staff that was available if needed.

Belmont Village was very nice, and it felt like being in a 5-star hotel. It was very clean, and they have an actual program for people who are getting dementia, but I am not quite that full stage. They have an in-between thing that they did with them, which was very nice. I would put my mother in either of the two places I visited, as overall they were very nice places.

Everyone at Belmont Village was great. The staff was very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. The rooms were nice; all they had were studios, and the bigger studios cost a lot more money and were only five feet deeper, so the amount of room for the amount of dollars was not really good. The dining room was OK. It was later in the evening that we visited them, but there were some people sitting and listening to the radio. It looked very friendly with a variety of things going on. They could perhaps bring their prices down because they were pretty expensive.

Belmont Village Sunnyvale was fantastic, I like it very much and it really stands out. The food was good and the tour was very efficient. The rooms were nice. That was the best community that we have visited. It was a 1-bedroom and it had a kitchen, lots of closet space and had beautiful gardens. They had exercise equipment and laundry. Everything was included. I think the visit was really a great time, really enjoyed it.

My mom loves it at Belmont Village Sunnyvale. She’s very happy there. The food seems to be good and the staff is very caring. They have a lot of people coming in and entertain the residents. They have art classes, exercise classes, flower arranging, painting and drawing. They also have weekly trips by bus to just look around at different things. The dining room is open, cheerful, and clean. There are always flowers on the table and the residents seemed happy about that. They can go down and order food off the menu anytime, not just the set food. The things that impressed me most about this facility is that the residents seemed happy. The place looks very cheerful, bright and clean. They seemed to be very caring about the seniors.

Belmont Village of Sunnyvale was a pleasant village; it looked like a nice place. The staff was kind, the woman who I talk to was very nice, and the accommodations were reasonable and clean. It was a fine property, nothing amazing, but the common dining area looked open and pleasant, so it was pretty agreeable. They appeared to keep everyone very busy if they wanted to be; there were a lot of options of very good programs.

We placed my mother in Belmont Village about six weeks ago. I think it is a first class facility. The staff seems very attentive and they knew my mom's name immediately within the first few days; every staff member knew my mom as a new resident. Their facilities are well-maintained and neat, and they have an abundance of activities for the residents. Her apartment was especially painted and has new carpeting, and it is neat. The bathroom facility is large and accommodates her needs, and the dining facility is equally clean, and well-kept up with good furnishings, and the food is good. They have activity levels for different levels of care including Alzheimer's. They have a circle of friends' activities, which is for people with early stages of dementia, so that they can engage them in groups. They have social activities of course, and these are the standard activities you'd find in a retirement home or assisted living facility. They have entertainment that comes in, and today they are having a luau -- this afternoon -- for them.

My mother is in Belmont Village of Sunnyvale. It is in our neighborhood. The food is excellent for the elderly. The rooms are very nice. They are somewhat like a hotel room. They are very clean and very organized with nice views from the rooms. They have patios. They have lots of activities. They have memory games for the elderly with memory problems. They go out on trips. What I like best are their caregivers. They are very kind and attentive to the people there.

My husband is in Belmont Village, and everything is very nice and very upscale. It is more expensive, but everything is a little more upscale. The help, caretakers, and administration are all very helpful. He is very low functioning, but I feel he is well cared for. I've been very happy with Belmont, so that is why he stayed there for five years. He doesn't participate in anything anymore. He has always been in the Dementia section, so the activities were geared for that level of cognitive functioning. When he was able to participate, they played ball, and they did artwork and puzzles. He can't do anything of that sort, but they do bring him in the group and sit him there so he can watch what is happening. They try to include him as much as they can so he can get the visual stimulation. He is on a specialized gluten-free diet, so he gets very good food. They are very accommodating because they cook a very special diet for him. I have eaten some of their regular food which is quite good. As far as my husband is concerned, he is on a very specialized diet and not every place will accommodate somebody like that, but they have been helpful. He is in a shared room because that was available when he first entered. For him and the three roommates he had over the years, there has never been a problem at all. They have been very careful in who they select as a companion. It is a lockdown facility because the doors are locked, and they can't go in and out, but you don't get the impression that you are in jail. It is a very upbeat and friendly atmosphere where the staff is very positive and upbeat with the residents.

Belmont Village Sunnyvale was quite inviting. It was very nice. They had a nice little garden and lobby kind of community area. There was nothing negative about it that I could tell except up in the memory care -- I felt that it wasn't a place for my father. The problem was, in the memory care, they lock them in the room at night because they have to by law or something, and that really didn't sit very well with me. I was very impressed by the administrator that we met with. She was really exceptional and very helpful, and, as it turned out, they didn't even have any opening, but she still went above and beyond to give us information and guide us to what might be an alternative for us.

I thought Belmont Village was great for a number of reasons: it was close to our friend’s home, and it was close for us to go visit her and also close for her friends in church to go visit her. Plus it seemed to provide the type of care that she needed. The people are very good. The work staff, the helpers, the assistants, and the aides seemed very pleasant. They’re always checking on her. It’s very nice and very pleasant. It’s furnished very beautifully, and the facilities are beautiful. It’s practically a new building. She has a beautiful room, and it’s large. There’s carpeting. It should be for the price that she’s paying every month. I do have one criticism about Belmont Village. When it was built, there was not enough consideration given to the parking around the facility. El Camino is a very busy street, and at certain times of the day -- like late in the afternoon -- it is impossible to find a parking space in front. I have to park on side streets and walk a considerable distance in order to get up to her room which is on the second floor. The problem with her room being on the second floor is I have to walk all the way through the building to the back, take an elevator, walk all the way down another long hall in addition to what I’ve already walked from my parking space. The other thing is that if I’m taking her back and forth, there is a place for me to pull over and let her out near the front door, but then I have to scurry and find a place or I have to leave the car in order to help her in. Then I have to run back to the car and then try and find a space. It’s just awkward. I don’t know if they can improve it; it's just the way it’s built up around that area. I think that they’re stuck and, unfortunately, the people who visit are stuck.

Belmont Village has different levels. There's independent, there is assisted and then there's memory. Their place was clean, it was nice. The only thing that I had a little bit of a concern with there was their fees were a little more expensive and the other thing was that the restaurant where they eat, the cafeteria area and the community area are very far away. They're on one side of the complex and a lot of the residents and staff live very far away. It's not centralized so some of the residents have a long way to go to get down there. When you've got people that are elderly, it's not easy for them to do that. I didn't notice a lot of staff around and the residents at the time were all eating so I couldn't see whether or not they were out and about.

My mother has been placed at Belmont Village and it worked out really well. It is an elegant place. It's a blessing to find an opening in the right place. We chose this facility primarily because it met certain standards: That it was a nice place, that it didn't smell, that the food was good, and that they have care memory program because my mother has Alzheimer's. Her room is elegant. It is a one-bedroom apartment. There is a kitchenette and the view from the bedroom and the living room area is exquisite. It overlooks the patio and the garden and you can hear the water fountain. It is just gorgeous. This facility also has graduating levels of care. As you go to the third floor and the fourth floor, there is the locked down floor for really-ill Alzheimer's patients, so you can age and be placed there. The staff is incredible. They have escorting service where in they come and take my mom, make sure she gets down for breakfast and lunch and also that she gets down to different activities. She loves it there. The first week all she could say is, "I feel safe, I feel safe." She is happy there. They have programs for people with memory problems and they do many sensory things. For activities, they have people come in and sing or play instruments for them. They have gardening and they do card games and arts and crafts. There is also a beauty salon on the fourth floor. I would totally recommend this place but for people that have a few bucks in the bank.

Belmont Village was nice and the location was convenient. The rooms seemed like a nice size. There wasn't anything negative but I'm just worried that it's elevated. The staff was nice and accommodating. I would recommend this place to others.

This facility is right on El Camino, so it's right around lots of neat stuff. The grounds are very attractive, with walking paths and gardens. The common areas are nice, but a little old-fashioned. They have a computer lab and a library. The food here is good and nutritious. I've eaten it before "“ we had a very nice breakfast the last time I was there. They have a professional chef. The staff is very nice and helpful. The management are also very nice people. They have licensed nurses around the clock. They have a lot of residents with Alzheimer's, so they have special activities for them.
