My aunt is at Crescent Oaks Memory Care. It's a nice place. I like everything about them. Their program director is really good because she's always got parties going on and she decorates everything for them. They have such a good time with all the activities. It's clean. Everybody seems to care. And most importantly, my aunt says that she's happy there and everybody's nice to her. When we had her in another place, she hated it there. But at this place, she has never asked to leave and she says she's happy there. They have a lot of activities and a lot of parties for every occasion. They have a once-a-month big birthday bash. They have people that come in and play piano or they have a karaoke singer that comes in and sings. Yesterday they had a big Christmas dinner, and they had a harp player playing Christmas music. The program director has everything decorated beautifully. There's a beautiful tree that the guests got to help decorate. It's just so nice there. I haven't eaten there, but my aunt eats everything off her plate, and she's a picky eater. It's all really good. I haven't found anything to complain about. The only thing I'm sorry about is the people that have to be there regardless. That's the only thing that saddens me when I go there. Everything else is just great. They're well taken care of, and so I think when something is like that, it's worth every penny.

Crescent Oaks Memory Care is a Mom and Pop kind of place. It's a close-knit community, so that was also a nice factor. The facility was nice, it wasn't super fancy and was pretty basic. Cost- wise, it had very clear pricing and they're straightforward about it. What I didn't necessarily like as much, was the shared living, or the companion rooms didn't have any sort of partition. So mom would be in a room that's just like a big room, whereas in the other place we toured, it's more separate. Their outdoor space wasn't as easily accessible to the residents. They have a lovely atrium glass room that's like an activities room, that I liked and it's nice. They mentioned that during COVID, that was a great thing because the residents can see family members through the glass room. It was one of my favorite parts of the place because it's very light and bright and a nice space for an activity room. The staff that gave the tour was very warm, his name is Mike, and he was very kind. He shared his personal story and connected, and was very empathetic, he was great.
