Carehouse Convalescent Hosp was not clean. The staff was inattentive, and I was sorry that I put my father there. This place needs to improve on everything. I think the state needs to come in and do an overview of the place.

She stayed longer over here at Carehouse. When she first got her diagnosis for her dementia, they took over there because she was very irate with them. She hasn't had the medications yet. She had a rough time with some of the nurses there. The place is nice though. It is a little bit more updated. The food is fairly good over there from what I've heard. After she got her medication and they started to get to know her more, she was OK. They did have activities and movies. That place is really good. It was really nice.

Mom had to go to Carehouse as she had an operation, but then I found out that they have permanent residence also. I was able to experience some of the care whilst she was there because she was there for about 10 days. The room was old because the temporary part was coming in, but I didn’t care for that too much. They did have the facility OK to get help right from the nursing staff, but it was old. The outside was beautiful, inside not too much. They will bring the food to her on the tray, but they can eat in the dining hall if they’re able. Most of the staff that I met was very were really sweet people, nice, and caring. They have a calendar with activities almost every day, so it’s wonderful. When somebody has a birthday, they actually put them in a wheelchair, everybody is lined up, they’re like going "look out, hurray," and they’re throwing stuff to them and singing happy birthday.

My Husband has been in this facility for 6 + months. I visit him every other day. I would say the Nurses and CNAs are good , they do their jobs but really do not go out of there way. They have a few \bad seeds\" for CNAs
