My mother is in Vista Manor. She's been there for almost a month now, and this is her second visit. I love that facility. If you're looking for a rehab center, or just checking out the hospital and recuperating, that is the center I would definitely recommend. It's very close to the regional hospital down there, and the staff, the energy, and the vibe is totally different. Everybody is so cheerful and they work as a team. The staff is warm, well organized, friendly, and very professional. They have a whole team of therapists, nurses, doctors, chefs, activity coordinators, and everything that they could think of to help the patient recuperate. They have a variety of food and they will cater to what you like. When you tell them, "My mom likes Asian food," they will try their best to accomodate. Their therapists are great and very encouraging.

Dad used to stay at Vista Manor and the place was very nice and clean. The only problem was they told us that he could only stay there for thirty days, then he had to leave and I don't think it was nice. However, the nurses, the food and their rooms were good.

When I was there I felt the people there were very compassionate and have great bedside manner. The nurses were great at comforting us especially since our Grandma did not have a great chance at surviving as said by the doctor. The facilities I would rate were very clean, they were washed daily, every time I would visit the place seems spotless and the place was always busy with nurses carrying out their tasks. When looking at other patients there they seem to have a good experience, all the patients looked comfortable, many of them had plenty to do there was a tv room, piano, even ping pong tables, the elders that stayed here had plenty to do. But the best experience I had was when my Grandma and Grandpa finally passed away, they were so respectful when our family surrounded our Grandpa before he finally passed into the next life. Some complaints that I had though is that so of them are somewhat rude and also very blunt about information as well as they can take a long time to return your calls, but the pros clearly outshine the cons.

Vista Manor is peaceful and serene! Nestled in the heart of a small residential area right off of Alum Rock Ave, in San Jose. Yet one block away from the hospital. As you enter into this facility is a lovely large family room with guest book on desk to sign. Nurses are very friendly there. Residence have two dining rooms that have large windows to see the outdoors. Inside these dining rooms are large t.v. screens that have the news on for most residence that prefer to watch that. One of the activities there is movie night on the weekends. Some residence there are always visiting with family inside the family room. I've noticed that the kitchen provides snacks around the clock if the resident feels like a small snack to eat, such as: cookies, applesauce, punch to drink...Residents or family may knock on the kitchen door to request food. This facility has a very helpful and friendly staff that works inside the rehabilitation department. They are always communicating with family members and the resident on the best way to rehabilitate certain behaviors, or disabilities that their loved ones have. The nursing staff has offered a small snack for me a visitor! And they love to talk to get to know you more personally!
