My sister is in Villa Fontana Retirement Community. She's in memory care. We chose it because it was convenient for me, and I heard good reviews on it. I've met with the director. She's a very, very nice lady. I'm very happy with where she's at and I'm hoping that she'll be happy where she's at. She's in a shared room at the moment. It's a very nice room. It's all good. The facility is very appropriate. I like it very much. There's a lot of stuff that she can do there. They even have an ice cream parlor room, which she's gonna love. They have karaoke, exercise, and meals at certain times. It's a beautiful place. I took the tour and I liked what I saw. I believe what they told me is that they're gonna make them exercise, get up and move around, and dance around.

My mom was at Villa Fontana Retirement Community temporarily. She was there transitioning out of the hospital. She needed 24/7 care while she was recovering. After she recovered, we then relocated her to the other facility. If I had the option to keep her there, I would have kept her there because I think across the board, they were five-star. My only dissatisfaction was the cost, which was almost $8,000 a month. They have friendly staff and lots of activities for the residents and their families. They have ice cream socials, they have bingo, and they recognize the different holidays and celebrate them. I thought they were very engaging and very friendly.

The reason why we chose Villa Fontana for my mother-in-law is, first of all, it's close to the home, and actually the rooms are a good size. They're open, bright, and well-lit. They have nice lighting. They have a little balcony for each of the residents, so that's nice. My mother-in-law can get out on her little balcony and get some fresh air. Their outdoor space in the middle is really nice. The only person that we really had any interaction with was Jan, and she was great and helpful. The facility seemed busy and active, versus some other places that we went into where everything was kind of quiet. We actually saw residents out and talking, and they seemed to be happy there. The cost was considerably less from the place that we were moving her from. I'm thinking that it's probably going to be pretty comparable to where we're moving my mother-in-law from, and at a significant saving for her estate, which is for her care, but her money will go longer. Right now, she is in a facility that's owned by a big corporation, and Villa Fontana is owned by a family. Because it's a family, they're more flexible. They're more willing to work with us or be flexible with what we need, whereas where she is at now, it's a corporation, and you're just a number sort to speak, and there's not that flexibility.

My aunt has moved into Villa Fontana Retirement Community. She's in assisted living. It seems to be nice. We were referred to it by a senior advocate and they've been very accommodating. I know that it's a pandemic so they don't have all of the activities that she wants to do but it's all gradually opening. They have a big variety of rooms. We moved her into a studio first and she didn't like the studio. They had a 1-bedroom available and everything worked out fine. They were always cooperative and available. They have a library that looked nice but a lot of the amenities were closed down because of the pandemic. They are supposed to have an ice cream bar and they're supposed to have different things but they were all closed. For the pricing, they give you a price and if you need something else, they'll add that one on. If you need something else again, they add that one again. I think it's a little deceptive but I guess they all do that. I don't know because I'm new at this.

We really liked Villa Fontana. It was clean and didn't smell. The lobby was small. It's a smaller facility and gave us a favorable impression. The person during the tour was very charming. She answered all of our questions and took us around a couple of studios and talked about them. The food was quite good. The portions were a bit on the small side, but my brother was very happy with it. The layout was very nice. They had a very nice common area, but they didn't have enough small sitting spaces where a person could sit down and read the paper or book without being bothered.

Villa Fontana takes in independent and assisted care occupants as well as memory care people. The ambience was acceptable, except the one room that they were trying to sell was too small. I got a full tour of the whole place. I had my father in there 20 years back and it has changed significantly. They overhauled the whole place and it was brought up to current expectations. There were people getting primed up to go have lunch when I was there.

Villa Fontana is an older building and not quite as nice. The rooms are a little bit smaller and have a closed-in feeling, but the people are really nice. This is a private organization, so you don't have to be worried about changing care providers. There are three different places in the organization, and one of them is a nursing home, which is very good. They also do memory care and assisted living. There is another building that's basically for independent living/retirement. The third building is a nursing home, which is really excellent. The people seem to be happy, and the staff does a good job of caring for them. They do chair exercises, outings, and get-togethers in the afternoon. They play bingo and games. After dinner, they have Wheel of Fortune watch parties. They try to keep people's minds active. There are arts and crafts, and people come in from outside for activities.

The rooms were bigger at Villa Fontana compared to the ones where my mother-in-law is. Everything was very nice and clean. The staff was very nice. The apartments were larger, but they were also more expensive. Unfortunately, we could not afford to go there.

I visited my friend's mother who lived at Villa Fontana and it was an older facility, which they had redone. It was nice and it had a pleasant environment. It was conveniently located and it was a very desirable place. I don't know how much she's paying but it is in the upper medium range. It had a lot of pluses and I liked. It had the nurses checked on her and does vital signs hourly, which was kind of above and beyond, but they were doing it to reassure her more than anything. They had a nice dining room and she had her meal either in the dining room or in her own room.
