My dad is at Hospitality House. He is in the back of memory care, but he doesn't need to be back there. He is there for assisted living. There is a back portion and front portion. The only reason he is back there is because he is in a wheelchair and not because of memory care. It's OK, it's not a bad facility. Right now, the problem with probably any facility is that there are no activities. Everybody is confined in their quarters, so if I have to grade it in the last year, it hasn't been very nice, it hasn't been very pleasant, and I think that's probably holding true everywhere. If it was me, I would have already escaped from the place. It's not because I don't like the facility, it is just that they're very limited now, and they don't do any activities because of COVID. Before that, I think it was a great place. He liked it there and there were plenty of activities to keep them busy. The staff does a pretty good job. Right now, they could do better. I think everybody could do better. Prior to COVID they had bingo, dominoes, and music, they had guests and singers, and they had a little bit of everything. Overall, it was pretty good. Compared to all the rest of the facilities in this county, their price is one of the best.

I toured several places, and I like Hospitality House the best so far. They had a better way of treating me. They had a better setup. They were open more and available for the different requirements of the seniors. I thought they had a better attitude all the way around and felt less corporate. Their staff was very understanding and seemed to have a better outlook on the whole thing than other places. The residents had the availability to bring their own furniture if they chose, so that was good. And it's the only place among those I visited that did that. They had a salon, a courtyard, and that normal sort of thing.

I just wanted to put a review about The Hospitality House. We needed a place were hospice could work with my mom. My mom passed on Christmas day. I thank God she is now with our heavenly father. She also turned 91 on the 20th of December. The staff here was so kind to our family and treated my mom with respect. I can't thank them enough, these are hard times for everyone. But I wanted to say THANK YOU. They were affordable, clean, polite and very quite.

I toured Hospitality House, but it was definitely not as informative. It is not as nice, but it would suit their needs. If I had to put my mother there, I wouldn't feel bad about it. But, of course, you always want the best for your parents. I think the other place had more activities than they had there. All of the rooms were like shared rooms, like my mother would have a roommate. They had beds and a dresser for each patient. The staff member who took me around was friendly and helpful, but not as helpful. The layout was not as good. In all fairness, they're doing reconstruction right now.

We liked Hospitality House. It was nice and clean. The director was very nice, personable, and informative. The private rooms were pretty nice. There was a big common area with a big TV and couches.

I didn't get to see too much of Hospitality House because it wasn't gonna be a fit for my dad. I already knew just from walking in. It just had a different vibe to it. Everybody was great and the place was clean. It was a nice facility. They had everything that you would expect as far as care. The staff was very pleasant, greeting and inviting. I would recommend the place for anybody that wants a home for their loved one that needs assistance at any time. They were great. if I lived closer to that area and it wasn't gonna be an issue for me to get to more often, I would've put my dad in there.

My mother-in-law is in Hospitality House in Salida. She's been there for about 18 months now and she's in their assisted living. The Community is big and the overall experience was positive given the challenges that Covid and quarantine brought. Her room is adequate. There's nothing great about it, but it's adequate for her requirements, at the moment. The maintenance and upkeep have been good. The food is just single option meals, with no diet or diabetic considerations. The kitchen is not adequate for the number of people so the food gets below average. The activities are few and far between. They have some group activities, but not many. It's hard to judge though because all of this has been done during the pandemic so they have breaks. If somebody gets COVID, everybody has to go on lockdown. Everybody's doing the best they can, I think, within the confines of the county rules, as far as the pandemic goes. So, there are some activities but it could be more. This is the place that my mother-in-law could afford, but most of everything's going to come up in the adequate category. It's plain, there are no real frills to it. There's a lot of staff turnover, but that's probably been everywhere since COVID. The value for money used to be good. They just raised rates 40% across the board, so currently, as of today, the value for the money is poor. A month ago, it would have been great. If the rise in the rates were because they did a lot of upgrades and improvements, maybe it would be having more value but they're raising the rates before the upgrades so that's kind of why we're leaving. I think they're making improvements. It's just that they're going to be raising the rates for them to do that. That's why we have to find another place for her. I think if they just improved the food and activities, it would have been a 4-star place.

We like Hospitality House for my father. They were very nice; the place was clean and had no smells. There was no screaming. Everything seemed to be nice and well organized. The staff was very nice. The rooms seem clean; they have a chair, a bed, and a window. The dining area was large and airy, had windows and it wasn't crowded.

Everybody at Hospitality House is nice and friendly, and the atmosphere is pretty good. Their dining area is nice and well kept, although I haven't eaten there yet. The staff is polite and knowledgeable about what goes on

Hospitality House is a nice little community with secured premises so nobody can wander on or off. The staff seems to be very informed and taking good care of my dad. They have daily activities like exercises and morning therapy. The doctors come in and check on them. They have a nice little area where they can watch TV. Dad is in a shared unit with his own bedroom. The staff seemed to have good bedside manners and attention to their patients is pretty good. They're very friendly with them, and I'm happy with that. They seem to handle the memory care really well.

My Mom has been there about 30 days. She has been so different...in a good way. She has bonded with other residents and is actually way happier than when she was aloe at home. The place is spotless and always smells fresh no matter what time I go in there. It was so cute when I went to visit and they have a tree decorated with flip flops that the residents decorated showing summer is here. Too cute !!! Karen the Manager, was instrumental with helping us get VA benefits for our Mom, she took us through each step and now she is covered for her rent. We couldn't be more happier. Mary

The facility is wonderful, clean and neat. People were very anxious to help. Residents were able to do what they wanted to do. They showed us rooms, they were nice, not huge but they were decent and average. You can get a private room and for sure it will cost you more. They were clean and efficient. My brother and I just really liked it. They have reasonable price. You don't have to ask about anything, everyone's willing to show you everything. Their food there is nutritious and looked great. They have a lot of creative activities. I saw that when they make different things, Bingo and regular things. They have scheduled trips when people would go out like shopping and doing different things. They have a complete array of activities.
