My parents are in Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga, which has great service. It's probably one of the better-looking assisted living that I've seen. They have more spacious rooms. They have 2-bedrooms for assisted living, whereas the other ones only had 1-bedrooms. They have very nice caretakers and nurses. The staff is very nice. The overall esthetics of the place is very nice. There is a pool and a lovely fountain. It's very well put together right in the mountains in Rancho Cucamonga. It's a very nice neighborhood. The assisted living and independent living are all intermixed together. They're not like off in a ward or have a separate place for assisted living. Here, they have it all intermixed. The value for the money is excellent. It's better than most of the others. Most of the staff are excellent, and there's 1 or 2 that are top-notch. I think they have great activities. The communication has been excellent. They're very good about the communication. They're also very careful. They only allow certain people to come in; only the people who have been vaccinated can come in. So far, I've been happy.

I went to Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga. The facility, the layout, and the upkeep appeared very nice. They're a brand new facility, so hopefully it stays that way. It's a very nice and clean facility right now. I was very pleased with the friendliness and the welcoming attitude of the staff and workers. The food was very good. They had a beauty salon, a game room (like an arts and crafts area), a gym, and a theater room to watch movies. We also like the fact that they have a swimming pool with ramp access. My grandparents will be able to do water aerobics and things like that. Also, when the great grandchildren come to visit, they can sit out by the pool and watch the kids play and that sort of thing. They post a new activity calendar once a month. It has the activities spelled out, so they can plan their shopping days and stuff like that. I saw arts and crafts, and they have a bunch of different card games going on. The facility overall is great. I wish that the room was slightly larger because there's going to be two of them in a room. The room we were able to get is smaller. We're hoping to get a bigger one.

I moved into Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga. It's a new facility, which I like, so it's fresh. It has a lovely location in the hills above Rancho Cucamonga. The staff has been excellent, they're young, very supportive, and very helpful. I've settled in nicely and I appreciate it. The pandemic has limited most of the activities, but they are doing their best to try and have events that can comply with the rules of COVID. We have an exercise room. They are delivering all the meals, so there's no joint dining times this time. It's a little restrained at this moment, but they're doing their best to keep the occupants involved with what is going on in the facility. There's no joint dining so all the food is delivered, and that's a little tricky. It's not great, but it's good. They have a swimming pool, a garden area, a fitness center, which is not being greatly used at the moment, and they have a movie theater that is not being used at the moment. The gardens are very well kept. It's just a little more difficult to accomplish all the things they want to accomplish with the lockdown and the COVID situation. The staff is excellent. One of the reasons I came here was it was cost effective, and it's priced nicely. The location, the site, and the fact that it was new and modern were the reasons I chose this place.

Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga is very nice, but it isn't as nice presentation wise as the other two places I went to. It's location was very park-like and I liked that.

My mom has moved and was placed in a facility. She's now in Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga. Merrill Gardens was chosen because the facility had individual kitchens, a very large patio, a private patio, and because of the location; it is very close to my sister. My mom is very pleased. The staff is excellent. The facilities are almost new; it is only about a year-and-a-half old. Everything is in excellent condition and excellent shape. They were very helpful. My mom seems to be very happy there. I could not rate the activities at this point. She is currently in quarantine, so she hasn't been able to participate in any activities.

My mother is in Merrill Gardens at Rancho Cucamonga and it's fine so far. The staff is very nice and very qualified. I like them. The rooms are beautiful when you decorate them yourself and they're new. I would recommend it. The food is excellent, too. They have all kinds of activities depending on the level of care. It's a little pricey, but it's worth it.
