My dad is at Meadows of Napa Valley. It is a small community. It's in my dad's hometown, which is nice, and it's close to my stepmother. It's a beautiful facility with caring people and full service. They do everything for them. They have nice and restaurant-quality food. It's not hospital food or something like that. It's got a nice variety. It's fresh food, cooked daily for their residents. They have a lovely calendar of daily activities including music. They do walking and outings. They do field trips in the community to different locations where they can go out and just enjoy the community. They have games and special events for different holidays.

We chose the Meadows of Napa Valley. It was very friendly and it had a lot of opportunities for keeping busy and having a community feel. The apartments we saw were very nice. They had a pool, bocce, putting green, and a gym. Lots of activities to join. Book club. It seemed very well done, convenient, and well-lit. The staff must do a good job because it's so well presented. They've done a lot of remodeling.

We loved the apartment and the apartment layout at The Meadows of Napa Valley. The down side was the long hallways to get to the individual rooms and they just had three meals a day. There wasn't a kitchen or a restaurant that you could go and just get a snack or have something on off hours. It was a very nice facility, but it just didn't really meet our needs.

It's such a relief to get my loved one in The Meadows of Napa Valley. She is currently in independent living, but she can go to assisted living and then memory care if she needs to. The food is pretty good and the facility itself is very nice. The accommodation/rooms were also very nice. Some of them are brand new with modern appliances. Some are very large. They go from one-bedroom to two-bedroom and some of the two-bedroom apartments are larger than my house, like 1500 square feet. So, that's all good. It is just expensive. There is an entry fee to get in and then it's a monthly rent. So, it's pretty high. Independent living is fine. You pay for one meal a day, or two or three. (She's currently paying for three meals a day.) They have a cafe, a restaurant, and they do quite a bit of activities. They have a putting green outside, a swimming pool, they arrange dances and a lot of variety of activities. So that's pretty good. They offer a lot of socialization and activities. Unfortunately with COVID-19, and even now, they're just starting to open up. You still have to wear masks and visitors have to have proof of vaccines and all that stuff, but overall, I'm well impressed with their activities.

I'm going to independent living at The Meadows of Napa Valley. It was very good and beautiful. It had happy people so its a very happy place. The food was good. I liked everything about. I'm getting a studio place with a big alcove for a bedroom, and it has a patio which goes out into a garden. They have a lot of activities.

The Meadows of Napa Valley looked like a four-star hotel. It was very nice, but it didn't seem as personal, or as hands-on as the other place. I was in the assisted living facility, but to me it was more like independent living. The staff was very thorough and very professional. However, we did not think it was in my father-in-law's budget. I saw the dining area. They're doing a lot of construction there and the parking was very tough. It was a beautiful place.

The room I saw at The Meadows of Napa Valley was pretty nice, but I've also seen my friends' rooms, which were pretty small. There were areas in the campus that were aging, and the carpets weren't really clean. The area was nice and big, spacious grounds. There was a room where they could play pool.

We’d been to The Meadows a year or so ago, and we were just back to see it. They’re doing a lot of expansion and improvement. It’s very nice and very livable; we like it a lot. The rooms are adequate. The staff is very nice; they’re very cooperative and interested. We’ve eaten there, and it was fine; I don’t remember having any complaints. They have exercise, wellness programs, and day trips to various sites and places.

The experience at The Meadows is very good, but of course it is a big adjustment. For the most part, it is very pleasant; the people are very nice, and the staff is very nice. The place is very well-kept and well cared for. The food is reasonably good. Their preparations are quite good, and they have a pretty good selection of things. It is very nice served, the dining room is moderate with linen table cloths and napkins, and you have wine with your meals if you want. It’s very well done. There are a number of activities like clubs, cards, pool, exercise, computers, yoga class, arts and crafts, and bridge, and in the evening they do have sort of a happy hour in the main room where they served wine before supper. They bring in entertainers so there’s a chance to meet other people to talk and meet our friends so it’s very useful. It’s a little pricey, but for what you get, I think it’s certainly well worth the price.

The Meadows of Napa Valley has got something for everybody. It has really extensive grounds. I know as far as assisted living that the rooms are very nice. It is the grounds that I am most interested with. They have a super nice floral walking ground that you can walk all around. It is huge. You have a private area where you can walk. They go all the way from a regular 1-person apartment style, up to a hospital facility. It is so huge that I don't think everyone gets personal care. The dining area is a buffet style. The size of the facility can be a little too big if you know what I mean. It is extremely expensive. It is an older facility, so it is not quite as clean as the newer facility. We had a bad earthquake here in Napa, and a couple of the facilities here still have a gigantic crack on it. The staff here is absolutely friendly. The residents there are quite happy although I know quite a few who ran out of money and transferred to something cheaper.

The Meadows of Napa Valley is a continuing care facility. The property is very large with lots of amenities. They have a pool and an exercise room in there. They have everything, but you also need to pay more. I was able to have lunch there, and the food was very good. They also have a huge list of activities.
