I didn't care for At Sunny Hills Home Care. They said they try to let people do a lot for themselves, but the gate that was supposed to be secure was not secure. I didn't get to see a room because they're all occupied. Also, I didn't feel that the staff members were as attentive. There was only one person there in daytime and I didn't see how she would handle the residents and the ones that were outside as well. I think they were understaffed basically. The staff who assisted me was nice, but for a caregiver, her nails were a little bit too long. I don't see how she will be able to assist the residents with the grooming or cleaning with long nails. I saw the area where they were eating. It was okay, and it was set up like a home. Most of the residents were in their rooms. They didn't give me a feeling that they're happy there. They need to increase staffing and they need to make sure the gate is secure.

The room I saw at Sunny Hills Home Care had a lot of deferred maintenance and rotted-out baseboards. The people who ran it were very nice, but I wasn't impressed with the actual facility. The owner wasn't willing to commit to a price which bothered me a lot. The place was nice, but wasn't my first choice.
