I visited this facility

I went to the River Fountains of Lodi. I liked that the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The grounds were nice being right next to the Mokelumne River. What I didn't like was that it was very outdated. Looks like they need to spend some money and upgrade their facility. They had a library and an activity center, and they had scheduled things for their patients or clients to go to or be a part of. The staff gave us a quick walk-through, they were nice.

My mom is living in the River Fountains of Lodi. She really likes her room. She actually has a studio with her own bathroom, and a little balcony. She can see the river. Mom got sick and she got weaker, and they're only assisted living, and not skilled nursing. The food could stand to be better. They do have activities. The staff is really nice to her and try to be as helpful as possible, but they ended up with COVID in there.

Provider Response

Chris - thank you for your nice compliments about your mom's room and our team members. The kindness and compassion of our staff is something we are most proud of. The pandemic has been hard for all assisted living communities and we are grateful that everyone stepped up to help each other so we could get through it. We just completed our first Vaccine Clinic and are hopeful to have more community activities, meals and visits soon.

River Fountains of Lodi reminded me of my mother's house being on a lake. She's happy there so far. She likes the food and some of the staff members. Her room is okay. It's very hard for activities right now because of the pandemic, but they have some inside. They're allowed to play bingo, they can watch TV in the living room area, and they stagger them for their meals out in the cafeteria. The staff has been real helpful. It makes me more comfortable knowing she's comfortable there. All in all, it's great.

My mom is at River Fountains of Lodi. The staff is amazing, people are great there, and I don’t really have any complaints at all. They take care of my mom and my mom is happy there. It’s not a high-end and fancy place, but for what it is and it’s price, it’s awesome. It’s old-fashioned, it’s a lower-end place with old-fashioned furniture, the carpets are old, but it’s clean, and it’s my mom’s style, so she loves it. The care is unbelievable, and the care is most important than the physical appearance, so I’m more than happy with it. My mom complains about the food, but she eats it. It’s my first time dealing with an experience like this, my worst fear was how the people are going to treat my mom, and I’m so relieved and comfortable now with that part, since they’re great. They’ve got Bingo twice a week, my mom plays Bingo, and she loves it. They got their own church on the site which is awesome, they have movie nights, and Jeopardy nights. It’s pretty good.

River Fountains is a single-story building. In general, it’s quite nice. The dining room has some common spaces with natural light, which we like for my aunt. The common spaces overlooks a neighboring housing development with some man-made lakes and ponds. The place is very clean, and the one thing that I noticed was that it has about 60 residents who are generally more friendly and a little more social than the other places that we went to see. She is happier here than she was at her last place.
