We have been residents of Independent Living Apartments at O’Connor Woods for almost 4 years.During that period we residents had stayed healthy and well cared through the dark phases of Covid-19. That is a clear evidence of the strong and efficient management systems of the O‘Connor Woods. The team can endure the most challenging pandemic disease, hence to keep the O’Connor Woods a secure and safe place for senior residents. We love the beautiful campus which has a park-like landscape; with many towering, native oak trees in their centennial ages, flowering trees and garden flowers in the spring, wood peckers and their granary oak trees, busy squirrels, and a near- one mile shady walking trail for daily exercises. We particularly enjoy the good sized (50x 25 in) indoor swimming pool, which is kept sparkling clean for lap swimming and aquatic exercises. The dining pavilion and food service are great in their decorations, serving delicious and nutritious meals, and friendly service. In all, we have throughly enjoyed a safe, healthy and peaceful life style in O’Connor Woods, and would recommend the place to our families, friends, and senior fellows who are looking for a great place to live in, without any reservations.

My mother moved into O'Connor Woods. It is a very nice and homey facility on beautiful grounds. What I liked least was we didn't get an orientation, which would have been helpful. We chose it because the staff was friendly, it has a great reputation, and it is close to the center of town. The place is clean. Mom has a studio room with windows and a little view. It is nice and clean, and we like that there are lights coming in. The food is really good, and the dining area is homey and clean. They do exercises and they have guest speakers. Next door is a chapel and they have church services. They have bingo, and they have clubs and games. There's an indoor swimming pool and there's a clubhouse. There are lots of Koi ponds and quaint places to walk around amongst the giant oak trees on the grounds. It is really beautiful. All the staff have been very pleasant and helpful.

I will be moving into O'Connor Woods. They're remodeling the apartment for me. It just seemed to be a good fit for me. They had a nice-sized patio, which impressed me because outside is important to me. It was situated on 35 acres, so there was plenty of safe walking areas. Everything was spanking clean. The staff was very friendly. They weren't stressed. They seemed to be kind to all the residents. They're very receptive. There's plenty of flowers, trees, and walking paths.

I was at O'Connor Woods to visit their memory care facility and I wasn't impressed. The gardens looked very nice with nice flowers. The appearance of the facility looked very nice but it was such a very big complex that they had to use a go cart. I just didn't feel comfortable leaving my mom there. The people that were touring were very young, and that kind of bothered me. I just didn't feel they were very empathetic. One of the waiting rooms that I saw was very small and cramped. And then they showed me a dorm-style bedroom in another building that was $10,000 unfurnished, and I just was not impressed.

O'Connor Woods is a secured facility. It's very spacious and very well-kept. It's a one-stop shop type of facility where they have a very large campus. On that campus, they have their own hospital to take care of the residents in-house. When you become a resident, they pretty much take care of you. They have everything from independent living down to memory care with skilled nursing. They help you with your ADLs and medical prescriptions. It's cool. They also have their own transportation service. So, if you have a doctor's appointment or if you have to see a specialist that's not in-house, they'll transport you to and from your doctor's appointments. It's a nice place. The best part is the costs. They aren't terrible. I know everything's high and that's what you expect for the kind of services that you get (especially because it's the one-stop shop place and you've got everything all in one area), but it's a flat rate. Once you get in, essentially the cost that you pay for whatever your living space is, it's all-inclusive of all of the assistance that you'll get. Memory care people have 24-hour kitchens available because not all of the memory care residents eat at normal times. That person comes in and they are there all night in the kitchen to cook snacks and meals for the residents. If they wake up, they'll make a resident a meal. So, that way the resident doesn't have to be in the kitchen near fire or knives or anything that could hurt them. They have a nurse that's on hand, constantly making sure that they are there nearby to make sure residents are OK and safe or in case there's a medical accident/medical emergency. They've got people that will entertain them, too. They put on a movie or play games with them. They'll get the group in the house involved in something so that they're all entertained and not just sitting around bored, wasting away. They give them a life. It's a nice setup, especially for memory care people. We walked into one of the memory care houses and the person in the kitchen was sitting there making snacks as they were getting ready to watch a movie. She made little triangle grilled cheese sandwiches and was prepping some fruit on the side. So, they go out of their way to give them a little something to snack on while they're watching a movie even though it wasn't exactly mealtime. They think about their residents and treat them like people. Everybody that we passed by said hello and were very pleasant. Nobody seemed like they hated their job there. Nobody has a frown on their face. Everybody was smiling and happy to be helpful and to see new people.

I saw some units in the assisted and independent living in O'Connor Woods. They were very functional, very modern, and very nice. Lighting was not as good as the other facility we saw, and it's smaller and an older facility, but the units were lovely. The person who gave the tour was excellent, warm, open, and knowledgeable. They have so many choices to stay active. They have a swimming pool, exercise and balance programs, a library, classes online through the University of the Pacific, guest visits, gardens, and anything you'd want. It is an established community and so pretty much anything you would be interested in, you could probably do it there.

I was very impressed with O'Connor Woods. They seemed to have anything you would want from independent living up through hospice in different buildings. They had a restaurant on-site. It was very well done, very attractive landscaping, a lot of trees, and running pond and streams. I pretty much toured everything. I had lunch there, and it was very good. They had organizations and activities for everybody from cards, Bingo, quilting, woodworking shop, and a handyman who can help you. You can have your own private home like a duplex or you can stay on the ground floor or upper floor. In certain buildings, you can have your dog or cat with you.

O'Connor Woods was the most excellent place I've been. It's fabulous. It's a very large and beautiful campus. We're going to be in a private cottage. It has health clubs and activities, and the food is wonderful. On our second trip back, the director introduced us to the residents, and she had us eat lunch with them so that we could ask them questions without her there. The whole experience has been wonderful. They're in the process of renovating our cottage and we will be moving in shortly. She answered all of our questions, she was very informative, and she took us all around. She showed us the cottages, the apartments, the assisted living, and the memory care units. They make sure that you feel really comfortable with them, with the place, and the facility. Our comfort and our happiness is their first priority. The menu was good and the quality of the food was good. It would be a great place for anybody who can live independently and wants a separate cottage.

I’ve been to O’Connor Woods for a visit to a friend. The place was very nice but on the expensive side. I also saw a couple of their apartments and they were lovely. It felt homey and beautiful. They had different activities for their residents to do. I think this place is probably the best in Stockton. The staff who showed us around the place was nice and pleasant. I had a lunch there once, and their food was very good.

Thank you for your kind words! We pride ourselves in customer service and strive to make OCW feel like “home” to all of our residents. So many services and amenities are included in the monthly fee, and we do not have “hidden charges”! We’d love to invite you back to enjoy lunch. Give me a call and we will get this scheduled! Thanks!

O'Connor Woods was very nice. They had a lot of things going on and everything was pretty and nice. People had their own apartments there, and they have a nursing home on the same campus. The staff was very nice. The place was very fancy with plush carpeting, tablecloths on the dining room tables, and good food. It's really very nice. The food tasted OK and was served by waitresses and waiters. The quantity was a little lean, but I guess if you're sitting around all day with nothing to do, it's enough food. It starts at $3,500 a month and goes up from there to $6,000 a month.

I visited O'Connor Woods as I had a friend who is a resident of the place. It's a lovely place, and it's set in a wooded area. They have apartment buildings as well as single cottages. They have an exercise room and a chapel. They serve really good meals. I would recommend this place to anyone although it is expensive.

I've been here at O'Connor Woods for six months now. The rooms are adequate -- there is nothing wrong with the rooms. They are okay and clean. As far as I can tell, nobody here complains about the staff and anytime I asked for help or needed information, most of the people are pretty competent. They have a lot of stuff going on if you like to be entertained. They encourage people to take responsibility for what they want to do. I don’t have anything negative to say about this place.

I was already familiar with O’Connor because I have had speaking engagements there before. The grounds are like a country club; it’s almost 5 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds. They have a quiet pond, turtle pond, and they take the residents out on rides in their golf carts. They have numerous activities, all kinds of activities. They are great, the staff is awesome, and they’re really good. My dad has a 1-bedroom apartment, and it has a really nice living area, kitchenette with a microwave, small refrigerator, sink and a little counter in there. There are cabinets and closets in the living room and off the kitchenette. The living room was spacious; it has a little space for his desk and a little bistro stable. The bedroom is spacious adjacent into the bathroom, and its all walk-in, shower, hand-held stuff and heater. I have eaten there. I did take him with me; we went and had breakfast, and it’s great. He is very happy, eating well, and his medications are well taken care of. He gets checked on; if he doesn’t show up for breakfast they can check on him, He is fine, and he loves it.

Presently, I'm living at O'Connor Woods. I used to live in the neighborhood, and I was able to watch this facility being built. We have beautiful aged oak trees, and the landscaping is very good. I really think this facility is a first class institution. The whole atmosphere of the facility is just so loving, and they respect us very much. They have different accommodations, like they have one or two bedrooms. They have assisted living, a memory care unit, and a nursing facility. They have a very good chef, too, and I am happy to be here.

While visiting O'Conner Woods Senior Living, it was great to experience all of the ammenities that they provide. This was one of the first times where I had stepped foot into a community where they not only had a very nice exercise area for the residents, but they also had a swimming pool so they could partake in swimming aerobics. The main purpose of visiting O'Conner Woods was to try to find a family friend a new place to call home. This is one of the care homes that was in the area, and looked to be very promising. When you first walked through the door, one of the things that can be immediately noted is the fact that the residents look very happy to be there, and it doesn't have that scent that most care homes have when you walk into them. This community was very big on activities. Not only did they have a swimming pool, but they also have an area for residents to do their own personal gardening, and a putting green! This was one of the more livelier communities that we had visited. It was honestly really nice to see so many older folks being so active.

The staff are really nice and hard working to the patients at this facility. They provide high quality service and care to the patients living at O'Connor Woods. The facility is kept clean and safe when I visited with my grandparents. My auntie is a nurse there who takes care of the patients. The facility was very big in terms of space. They have a high quality restaurant in the middle of the complex, they provide delicious food to the elderly.
