The staff at DVine Home were very good. They showed a lot of concern and they were very courteous. The facility was very clean and very sanitized. It just looked very nice, and the workers were very caring.

I liked D'Vine Home. It appeared they interacted really well with the residents. They had different groups of residents doing different activities, which I liked. The staff who gave me the tour was very nice. I believe the two people who either own or run the place were excellent. It seemed that their staff had been employed with them for a long time. I walked through the dining area, and it was very clean. I was able to see all their rooms. They had single rooms available. This facility just smelled clean. It wasn't like they cleaned it just for me. It did not have that strong smell of bleach.

I went to D'Vine Home. I like it because there are only 10 people they care for. A bigger place would be too much for my mom's health, and 10 people is like the perfect number. The place is close to my house. It's pretty clean, very neat, and had nice people. I talked to Glenn and his wife, and I saw all the old members that lived there. If mom ever has to go to one of these places, she will go to D'Vine because that's the one I like. The price is OK for us. They share a room. There are two in each room, which is OK. I saw the entertainment room. I saw a lady watching TV. I saw another room, where they were playing. There were other people sitting down reading or doing something with a book.

I went to D'Vine Home. It's less money per month than at my mom's current facility. I'm really torn as to do I move her just to save money every month. They offered activities. They made the facility feel like it was a home, not a nursing home, but a residence. It was clean and had a lively atmosphere. There was a small dining table and a kitchen counter like a bar area, and that was part of the open kitchen area. I really didn't interact with the staff too much, but the owners were a five-star. They had a menu posted. I didn't taste the food, but everything looked good. They had indoor games and an outdoor area.

My younger son and I went to look at D'Vine Home. We like the place. It's nice and clean. My husband is going to be the only male. He will have a room just for himself. The room is clean. It's a medium sized room. It's not huge, and it's not small. It's very nice. I like the cleanliness of everything in there. It wasn't like it was tidied up for the tour. It looked like they spent time cleaning. Although they don't have grass on the outside, it is nice and neat. I like that place. I like the people who manage it, too. It was a neat experience going in and talking to them because they told us things we can do to help financially with him, like where to go and what to do. They were very helpful in that case. We didn't taste any food because they already had lunch when we arrived. They do the meals according to their diet. Most of them are diabetics. My husband and two other people have high blood pressure, so they cook the meals according to their diets. What we like there is that they don't have to eat breakfast all at the same time. My husband is a late riser. They said it's OK because they have some people like that, but no later than 9:30 AM. I did like that. We asked about their activities. They have memory games. Because of their dementia and some of them have Alzheimer's, they cannot play games that are long. The activities are five minutes and sometimes less because they just wander and don't finish the game. They have memory games, and they do this for five minutes. They know when their minds wander, and they're not paying attention so then they stop. They take them outside. They sit outside, and they have picnics outside. The staff who toured us were very helpful and knowledgeable about dementia. They asked the questions about my husband that the other place did not ask. It was good that they know about his behavior, how long he's been behaving like that, if he has escalated, and things like that. It was very important to us. We love that place.

D'Vine Home was clean inside, but needs fixing outside. They've got some repairs that need to be done outside. The gates are not the way they should be; they are offset. The roof trim line has all the paint peeling, and some of the roof tiles are getting old and need repairing. The staff that gave me the tour was very friendly and very informative. It's very clean inside. The rooms are furnished. They're OK. They're nice. This is a private home that's converted to a care center. The people are nice, but they don't have a lot of activities for people. There's a living room where people can sit around and watch some TV, but there's no real exercise equipment (which is necessary for elderly people to keep moving). Unless I just didn't see it, they don't have a lot of activity stuff like board games and things like that. I saw those things in the other community.

D'Vine Home looked really comfortable and had very caring people. The place appeared very clean and like a typical home with a lot of bedrooms and a main common area. The residents looked clean and well fed.
