My mom is at St. Cecilia's Senior Home. It's a small six-maximum-resident board and care. The caregivers are very caring. They take care of your loved ones as if they were their own family, and they are very interactive with all residents. There are two caregivers at all times, 24/7. The owner is fantastic. She's very responsive to the needs and is also very knowledgeable and helpful. She was able to connect us to a couple of different hospice companies that we needed to interview, and through that, we were able to find the one that was going to be able to best help with what we needed. Pretty much since then, everything has been very seamless. The place is very well maintained and very well kept. With regards to their meals, they're very adaptive to the need of their residents. The owner will work with whatever the dietary restrictions of each of the residents, and if need be, they will make a meal for that resident if they are not able to eat the same thing that everybody else has. My mom hasn't complained about the food. My mom is completely bed-restricted, but they provided her with a TV and cable. They've added channels to their cable package. Because there was no way to position my mom's bed so that she would be able to look out the window because the window was too high, the owner graciously purchased a mirror and put it up opposite the wall from the window so that my mom can look at the mirror to be able to look through it to see what's going on outside.
