Morningside is more than a continuing care retirement community; it’s a place that comforts me in mind, body and spirit and where I can see myself aging in a “wholistic” way. Living here, I benefit from resort-style and/or stationary cruise-ship type living with choices of elegant and comfortable apartments and villas, exquisite cuisine and new friends who continue to appreciate life to its fullness. I can choose to be low key or active in the many daily activities. I can’t tell you which of the activities I like best because I love them all - I do know that I find myself welcome wherever I go! What convinced me that Morningside was the place for me was the congruency in responses of both staff and residents. Both groups LOVE being here, those who work here and those who reside here, what a beautiful combination. Seeing their smiles gave me a lot of confidence and an overall sense of comfort; I knew then that I would be living in a safe, comfortable, elegant and caring place for the remainder of my life. First in Independent living now and very active, and confident that when and if needed, move to Assisted Living or Memory Care.

The staff at Morningside of Fullerton was all good. We had lunch there and the food was all good, too. It was presented well. We didn't see a room that we would have chosen, but we saw some of the other three-bedroom rooms that were larger. Upkeep was very good. They had nice facilities. They had a gym and things like that.

I like the proximity of Morningside of Fullerton to shopping. I like the layout of the rooms, the dining schedule, and the overall general atmosphere both inside the facility as well as the surrounding community. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. She anticipated my needs very well, and she was receptive to all my questions. They have a lot of activities there that you can enjoy daily. They can transfer, if necessary, to assisted or memory care or even skilled nursing at an adjacent facility.

I will be moving into Morningside of Fullerton. The marketing director, Sharon, has been wonderful. A big factor why I chose it is they had a room available. The one-bedroom is about 810 square feet, with two rooms, one living room, and a dining area. The other room is my bedroom and bathroom, so it's a nice size. I've eaten there before, and the food was excellent. They have quite a few activities. The atmosphere is very friendly. I've been there a couple of times, signing papers and so forth. As residents go by, they introduce themselves and welcome me to the community. These are people that have lived there for a while. They said, "You're going to love it here." The few staff that I've met so far have been wonderful. The facility is super.

We toured the Independent Living part of Morningside of Fullerton. It was expensive, but it was beautiful and well put together. The woman giving us the tour was very knowledgeable. She shared with us all the details. The place was really big. They had lots of amenities, I probably don't even remember them all, but they had a salon, a library, big dining rooms, smaller dining rooms, and a pool. It was expansive, and it was truly exciting. The staff was very knowledgeable, informative, and very straightforward with us. She was pleasant and kind. They invited us to stay for a meal, but we didn't. The dining area was beautiful, it looked like a five-star restaurant. The facility is quite large. It seemed very well secure, and they are attentive to their residents. It was all-encompassing if you had the money. The pay scale seemed reasonable. It seemed very appropriate for us. We were just like, "Oh, my gosh, all these places were just so nice." The monthly payment was high, but I got the impression that it was a one-time fee, basically, and wherever you bought in, that's what your monthly would be regardless of the level of care that you required. So, it seemed like a good deal, but it is expensive.

My mom moved into a 1 bedroom apartment last week. The staff has been incredible. The residents are welcoming and go out of their way to make my mom feel she is part of their community. The food is excellent and nutritious. It feels like a resort and everyone is on vacation. I feel so happy that it is safe, clean and a nourishing environment! It is everything I could possibly hope for. The staff is kind and patient. There is a maintenance staff and housekeepers that keep everything running smoothly.

I visited Morningside of Fullerton, and the price is too much. The community is good for a certain level of income. They have a recreation room and a shuttle bus that takes them around to stores and to buy groceries. They also have activities, like bingo. We had a meal at the dining room where they had a band to entertain us. The food was quite good, nutritious, healthy, and balanced. I was impressed. They're quite good, and the facilities are also good.

The staff at Morningside of Fullerton is very accommodating and knowledgeable, they spend time with you, and have nice conversations. My impression of the staff is very positive. Their amenities are five-star, the monthly cost covers assisted and full care. They have lots of activities, events, and clubs for the residents. I had lunch there last week and again the dining area is like a five-star hotel; it's beautiful. It's centrally located and is close to many shopping areas and things you want to do. It's just outside of Los Angeles. The property is on a 30-acre parcel and there are more gardens and areas to walk around. They have a very high move in fee so you're putting in a lot of money upfront, but the monthly fees are nominal. It already covers your independent living, assisted living, and full care, and does not increase depending on the needs you want. You get three meals a day for assisted living and full care, and independent living is one meal a day, and you get charged each month for the extra meals. If you stay there for 90 days or less, and you decide to move or you pass away, then you get a 90% of your move-in money back. Then each year, there's a percentage return of your initial move in fee. However, they have a waiting list of six months to a year.

The rooms at Morningside of Fullerton were nice and good sizes. They had everything you need to be self-contained. It's close to a grocery store and a hospital that I'm familiar with. The food there was excellent. It didn't have covered parking unless you paid extra.
