My father-in-law is staying at Nelle Home Place. It's tucked away in a cul-de-sac, and it's a quiet neighborhood. The owners are good people. They're wonderful. Everything is homecooked. They're very attentive to their residents, even down to the point where doctors will miss some stuff that they notice. It's newly renovated on the inside. It's kind of updated, just very cool toned and clean. When you walk in, they have all their COVID stuff for visitors and the procedures in regards to that. They go through it with them. The only complaint that I have is that it's far from us. The house always smells like something's cooking. I know for Christmas, they had a Christmas concert. The families were invited to come and enjoy the party with their loved ones. They always have homemade desserts. It doesn't look like something that you could just go to Safeway and buy. They are European, so there's a lot of fresh vegetables. I know they have a garden in the back. Every year, the administrator grows their own tomatoes, cucumbers, and eggplants. He has grapevines. They will go out into the backyard and sit in the backyard for lunch. They have music. They play games and cards with each other, and they can enjoy the grapes that are being harvested for that year. It's an older neighborhood. The house probably could have been built better, but from my understanding that's the way that they bought it. They built the business around the house. Other than that, it's a good place. When they do Easter, their Christmas parties, and birthday parties, everything is cooked in the home. However, the residents that they currently have are not interested in really conversing with the other residents. They want to keep to themselves. They want to watch TV in their own room. They don't want to do community time, but they had two of them that do. Sometimes, it's hard to do things with just two people, but they do a good job of including everyone.
