My mom moved to Pacifica Daly City two weeks ago. It's a beautiful property, I love it. It's very clean, open, bright, and very cheerful, so I was impressed the minute I walked in the door, the rooms are nice. She's in a shared room but they have private rooms. The rooms are large, they have a private bathroom, two beds in a shared room and a giant armoire each, a nightstand, and there's plenty of storage and plenty of room to move around. My mom says she's very comfortable in her room. All the staff has been great. When I brought her up there, they walked out to the car to greet her, brought her in, sat down with her, and had lunch with her. Everybody that was on staff walked up to her and said, "Welcome." It was very warm. They don't let any of the residents stay in their rooms. The residents are in different areas of the facility either involved in crafts or watching a movie. They have people come in, and there was someone there the other day entertaining them. Everybody is grouped into three or four areas of the facility and they do different stuff. They have karaoke, arts and crafts, they have a resident dog there, and they do exercise. Nobody is left alone in the rooms, so all the rooms are empty and everybody is participating in something. That's what I love about it. My mom likes the food, she says it's really good, and she's very picky. I looked at their menus every time I'm up there and everything looks really good. The value for money is pretty reasonable considering what it costs to live here in the Bay Area.

What I liked about Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa is the facility itself. The building has a lot of glass windows, so there's a lot of natural light that comes in. It is very well thought out the way they have their dining room where everybody eats. Just about from every corner of the building, there's a courtyard where the patients can go out, and if they want to be outside. They have gardens for people who like gardening. They have four chickens in the chicken coop for people who like animals and want to do that kind of stuff. They have a little room about the size of a dining room in a home that you can reserve if you want to have a birthday party for your loved one that's in there. Everything seems well thought out, even the tile on the floor. They say that they have patients who like to walk around, walk around, and walk around, and the tile on the floor is positioned so that all the lines are straight. I could see how that is important to some people being in whatever condition in their mind if they just follow the straight tile where they can walk around the place. I found the shared rooms a little small though. They stressed that they try to keep people out of bed and out of their rooms and participate in their activities. There are seven activities a day to try to help people keep their minds occupied and all that. It all made sense as it was explained to me. As far as the tour is concerned, they were very informative. They weren't trying to rush you or anything, and they answered any question that you had. They have done a good job. The staff who toured me was very informative, very straightforward, and honest about everything there. It's a very nice building. It's clean. It didn't have any unusual odors. They have little mini sofas along the hallway, so if the people walking around get tired, there are plenty of places for you to sit and relax. So, it's well thought out.

Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa was beautiful. The staff was great. They were friendly, very professional, and very caring. They have a lot of things for the residents. I saw a schedule of activities, so it looked nice. I just didn't care for a couple of rules that they had like we couldn't just drop in and see our family member. We had to call the day before that and that bothers me. Also if we wanted to take our family member somewhere, they had to bring him out and then they would pick him up from the car to go back in. So it was just a feeling that I just couldn't go and see what was going on.

Our auntie stayed at Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa for only 7 days. We paid a total of $11735.71 They promised for refund of $4390.55 They only sent us $2290.55 back. The company kept promising us that they will send us the remaining balance of $2100. We never receive it. Many emails sent to request for the additional refund but no response.

I like Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa. It was very open. The area was open. My mother could go out and plant or bring animals that she wanted. It was just very open and airy. You could see the sun shining through at all angles of the buildings. I was impressed. That was my first choice. And they held a room for me from July to October, and I had not made a decision. That was my first choice and that is the place where I wanted my mom to be. They have the same things, but with Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa, I was just really impressed. Once I took the tour, I wanted my mom there. It was close to both houses for me because I have a house in Bayview and a house in the Ingleside. They showed me the recreation room where they could go in and do activities. Then they had another room where they could go in and sit with other patients or clients. They had a discussion room, I call it a discussion room, but it was just the activity room. It's in a great location. The way the building is built, it's airy and sunny. The court area was lovely.

Pacifica Mission Villa provides a safe, caring and inclusive environment for my mom. The staff did a great job acclimating my mom to her new environment and keeping her busy. My mom enjoys the weekly shuttle ride touring the Bay Area. The medical staff keeps detailed record of her medication and behavior, making it easy for me to communicate with my mom’s care team at Kaiser. Choosing Pacifica Mission Villa is the best decision I’ve ever made for my mom.

Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa was nice. My first impression of it was awesome. We looked at several rooms, they were all neat, bright and have high ceilings. They were willing to put a curtain partition between beds on a shared room, and their bathrooms were also nice. They have lots of common areas on each floor that have different personalities. There was something like a beach hotel-side sitting area in a corner in the hallways and there's a 50's diner type place that looks like a men's place. It's a lovely community, and the main rooms are very nice as well. If my mother would need memory care, this is where she'll go. The staff who gave the tour was good. We didn't eat there but we talked to the head chef while the residents are having a meal. The food looked great. They have activities in the dining room, but they didn't have a separate activities room.

My sister moved into Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa. It's very good, there were a couple of minor things, but that would not affect the rating of the facility, and she seems to be happy there. The staff is wonderful and very attentive, and the nurses are wonderful, very nice, and very thorough. It's very clean, great, cheerful, a lot of open natural light throughout the facility, and they do lots of events. They take them out of excursions, drives, and they went to the pumpkin patch a couple of times.

Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa was a fairly large place. It was kind of nice, industrial, and appealing. It's nicer in the hallways, and they have old time pictures from the '40s. They have areas where they have themes. They had tables and chairs in the hallways where the residents can sit, eat snacks, and be served. They had a courtyard and a chicken coop for the amusement of the guests. The dining room seemed nice.

Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa was nice and clean. It seemed bright, and the seemed that they had some activities like exercises, games, music, and entertainment. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was nice. I met the front desk person and the person that gave me a tour around the place. They served three meals a day plus snacks.

Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa was the perfect facility for my dad, but I don't trust them. I had my dad evaluated with them, and when my sister made an unannounced drop-in visit, the prices were different. It's been 2 weeks since I was there. I met with the staff and had an appointment, but they were late to meet with us. I was very disappointed to be kept waiting. The facility was wonderful, and I loved it. The price I was given was one price, but 2 weeks later, I had my dad evaluated, and the price went up by $500. I was told the first time that supplies were included, but my sister made a visit this week, and the supplies are now not included. They said my dad wasn't a good fit for them, but I never got a callback from the nurse to tell me why he's not a good fit. They told me "If you come now, we'll try to get you the same price point." I come, and the staff's not there again. She's late again, and that is a big pet peeve of mine because if you make an appointment, you should be there for the appointment. I left, and I said "Please call me," but I never got a phone call, no nothing, and that's just bad business. I am very disappointed. But the facility is clean and well taken care of. We found out from her as to why my dad wasn't a good fit -- he didn't have a local doctor. We had already discussed this, and my dad has a local doctor. When I had my meeting with her, she was told that, but she just dropped the ball and didn't tell her staff that. I think it's too much for her to handle. You have to be upfront and honest, and that's not asking too much.

My visit to Mission Villa was positive, the surroundings were nice, and the staff was very pleasant. The rooms were modest, but fine, and the security seemed good.

Everything went really well when I visited Mission Villa for my mother. I met with the director who was very nice and very informative. The rooms were very nice. Everything was clean, light, bright, and sunny due to the many windows. They have a courtyard and activities. The facility was a bit pricey for us but nice. The dining area was a very big, open area.

The staff is fine. My brother is currently in his own room, and the rooms are very spacious, very large, and very clean. They have the services and the needs that most fit what we needed. We haven't been there that long, but it's definitely very good and comparable to most of the other places we saw. There's nothing bad about Pacifica Senior Living Mission Villa -- I would recommend them.
