After experiencing disturbing experiences at two different memory care facilities, I am so very happy to have found the Village for my husband's new "home." I now have peace of mind knowing that Ron is in the very best place. The entire staff - caregivers, housekeepers, activity director, food preparation staff are all excellent and dedicated. I feel that they are all part of our extended family! I could not be happier now that my husband is a resident of The Village Memory Care!

I toured The Village at Hayes Valley. I liked it very much, and I liked the man who gave me the tour. One of the rooms was very small and dark, and had a window that looked out at nothing. But all the rooms looked clean and adequate. The living atmosphere and the dining area were very pleasant. I was just thoroughly impressed with this place.

I toured The Village at Hayes Valley. Eloise, who was our host, was very accommodating and very friendly. She provided all the information and answered all of our questions properly. We left there with a full knowledge of information regarding both their facility and assisted living in general. The staff themselves were also very friendly and very welcoming, but my mom found the place a little small. She was looking for a bit more physical area, so she can do her daily walking, for example. They have a very nice rooftop terrace and it has a beautiful view of the city 360 degrees. The rooms were very nice. We were shown two different types of rooms, a shared room, and a single room. They have activities seven days a week that include a lot of exercises and activities like bingo and get-togethers and a lot of socialization activities and that was good. It just wasn't exactly the type that my mom was looking for. We were offered meals, but we said no because of time constraints. The menu looked very good and very nutritious and healthy. I loved their menu.

The tour experience I had in The Village at Hayes Valley was very good. Shirley and Louise were both very nice and very informative. They showed me around the two different buildings. Memory care is on one side, while assisted living is on the other. They toured me on all the floors. It's clean and secure. They didn't have a lot of residents. I think the memory care floor only had ten people, but it's priced accordingly. One negative thing was the parking. It was hard down there. They can go for a walk to a park nearby or ice cream stores, but they don't take the residents out for a ride, because they don't have a van. Although, that's something they're planning to have. So, the place was not the most ideal, but it's a pretty nice place. It's fairly new and there are lots of patios. The staff went out of their way to tour me and they even gave me cookies.

I looked at the memory care part of The Village at Hayes Valley. The place seems great, the residents seem happy and they interacted with the staff. The place was clean and the rooms were nice, and it's a very nice place. The staff seems very friendly. I was speaking to the director, the chef, and their admissions lady, and they're all very nice. I also saw the daily menu. The rooms were a decent size, with enough space for a bed, a dresser, and situated like a bedroom in a private residence.

Beautiful facility. Great views and clean. Wonderful residents. The administrators are fully attentive. From working with George to book me, the receptionist to welcome me and Irving, and to guide me. And very caring toward the residents. Id welcome returning and referring.

We have chosen The Village at Hayes Valley for my mom. She moved in three weeks ago and it has been great. Where she was at, basically they had her bedridden. At The Villages not even two weeks after she moved in and with the help of the physical therapist, she got herself out of bed. It was slow but she made it to the wheelchair. This week, we are starting to work with her on her walker. So there has been a big difference in her life and in her care. She has been so much better. We're talking about taking her out of the memory care and putting her with the regular people. The staff seems to be working well. They're all on the same page trying to get her better. Right now, my mom seems to be in a better place. The accommodation is fine. Her bedroom is fine. She seems to like the food, too. Their memory care is right across the street from the regular building, so by wheelchair they take her back there to interact with people or for bingo. They have gone out of their way to get her active. When she arrived there, she was confused, but now she is getting more and more active. Again, we are trying to move her up a level from where she could interact with people and have a happier life.

The food is good (especially beef stroganoff). Bed making is fine, as long as I can have 3 blankets for 8 months. So far, I've enjoyed myself here.

The Village at Hayes Valley's people were very helpful and pleasant. It was a nice place and a little livelier than some. There were more people out and doing things than at similar communities. They had activities going on and they seemed to work to keep the residents engaged. The rooms were small but very nice, pleasant and well-maintained. The staff took good care of the residents, their physical health and mental needs.

I toured the Village at Hayes Valley, and there were parts that were nice. The rooms seemed OK and decently sized; I saw a newly painted one. They had shared bathrooms on each floor. The sunlit top floor was absolutely gorgeous. The staff member was very good, very friendly, and had a lot of experience. It seemed every floor had a dining space, but it was a fairly small facility.

We saw The Village at Hayes Valley. The people were very nice, but the rooms were a little small. The washing and toilet facilities were outside the rooms. They were convenient in the hallways, though. The Village at Hayes Valley was a newer place with a very nice group-oriented area for people to utilize. The meals were served on each level, so you had smaller groups of people eating together.
