My dad is currently in Friendship Care Home. The patients don't prepare their meals, it's taken care of for them. The staff is great. The number of people there is about 25 or so, so it's a smaller place. We were pleased to find it, and after having dad there, we found one staff member who is not as friendly as the rest. But all the others are very caring and friendly, and we are pleased with the work that they are doing. We saw the food being served several times, and as far as my dad is concerned, he hasn't really expressed a like or dislike for anything, but it seems adequate and he is maintaining his weight. The location seems to be not the best neighborhood, but we're satisfied with the security that they have inside the place, and they tried to do activities where they can took everybody outside in the sunshine to do activities outside when COVID wasn't keeping everybody inside. I think the activities are really quite appropriate for the people involved. They play bingo, and on the day they were able to go outside, they had a little swimming pool set up and they were fishing for a magnetic fish, which was kind of cute. The activities were appropriate to the patients.

My mom likes Friendship Care Home a lot. I like it a lot, too. The place is very adequate. There are lots of social interactions. They have activities every day. The area is very spacious. My mom has lots of room to walk around, which she loves. The staff is very accommodating and very kind. Everyone that I have spoken to is great. I haven't eaten their food, but my mom has, and she hasn't had any complaints. The facilities are pretty adequate, but the showers are a little basic.

They showed us a room at Friendship Care Home that they said was available, and it was a single occupancy room which looked very nice and updated, however, when we walked down the halls and toured the facility, no one had a single room. Everything had two or three people in it and the rooms were very rundown-looking compared to the room they showed us, so it kind of felt like a bait-and-switch situation. That was the first thing I didnt like. The second thing were the shower facilities which to me, it was a bathing facility in an animal clinic. It looked like somewhere I would take my dog to bathe them, and I didnt like it. It looked as clean as it can be but it's just not the way I would want my mother bathed. Thirdly, the cost was way out of our budget, not even when my mom shared a room with two other people. If they could just show the rooms where the tenants lived and let someone make their decision off of that. It's just kind of deceiving to me. The staff who toured me around was very knowledgeable, and I observed another person conducting a Bible Study which was very engaging. The staff was all topnotch.

The people and the conditions at Friendship Care Home are awesome. They help mom get dressed, bathe her, feed her, do her laundry, and make her bed. They do everything. There's nothing they don't do for her. They are excellent, and the facilities are excellent. They keep them busy with Bingo and rock painting. I think the value is very good too.

I have only been to Friendship Care Home. Everything was very positive. The place was clean and didn't have a smell. The two people running it were very nice and young people who seemed to be very involved in the running of the place. They made you feel comfortable. The location is not in the best part of Antioch, but once you get into the gate, it's like a whole different world. It was quiet and nice. Everybody seemed like they were OK. I was impressed.

My father is currently at Friendship Care Home. My father is very hard to deal with, and Friendship Care Home has the technical staff to meet his needs. They have been able to work with him, which nobody else was able to do. They were able to work with Kaiser to balance his medication. The most important aspect is that they are working with him, and they are improving his life with his medication.
