We have decided to keep my parents at Westmont of Brentwood. I like everything about it. The employees are really nice and very attentive. It is a nice place, and it is very clean and well taken care of. The food is good. I've had lunch several times with my parents over there. It's just an all-around good place. There's nothing I don't like about it. They are nice people and they get to know the people that live there. They know everybody by their first names and they are extremely caring. They have a really good menu. They serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks if you want them during the day. The food service is great and the girls are really sweet and know everybody by their first names also while serving them dinner, lunch, and breakfast. They have movies and they have a nice library. They do exercise classes a couple of times a week for the ladies and the veterans. My dad is a veteran, and the veteran guys get together to just chit-chat, have coffee, and change war stories. It's very comparable to just being at home. The little apartment that my parents have is well set up and nice.

I felt that everybody we met at Westmont of Brentwood was very friendly. We thought the facilities were beautiful and we felt included in the tour. Imal did a wonderful job making sure that we saw what we wanted to see and that there was no pressure. It was a very relaxed environment and we enjoyed it. The facilities were great. They showed us a one-bedroom that was furnished as a model and showed us a different unit in another part of the building, which was unfurnished, too, but was very nice. The program director, Nita, was very friendly. The reception area was also very friendly. The decorations for fall were absolutely beautiful. You felt like you were coming home when you went into the building, like this could be a home for any seniors. The facility was very clean. The bathrooms were immaculate. The hallways and everything was very, very clean. The person at the desk welcomed us in. We told them why we were there, and it just so happened that Imal was walking by at that time, and he was with a resident moving in. So, we waited a little bit, and then we sat in the living room. A lady resident came and sat near us, and she started talking and telling us how much she enjoyed being there. That was unsolicited. It was very nice.

We went to Westmont of Brentwood. The staff was very knowledgeable. The rooms didn't meet my expectations. I didn't care for the facility at all. Heating and air conditioning were individual units in the rooms rather than central air; I didn't like that. There was no access to the outside, such as a patio or anything.

I've moved into Westmont of Brentwood. They leave you alone to do what you want to do and if you want some help, you just ask for help. I take care of myself. The activities are mostly for elderly people, so I try to get out more often. It's very clean. My room is very Spartan. I try to keep the furniture down and the food down. I ask them to give me a small lunch, a medium dinner, and a heavy breakfast, but occasionally I have to get out three times a week. The food is very good. There is a computer room, a barber shop twice a week, and an exercise room. I wish there was a spa, but there isn't.

Westmont of Brentwood had an opening for a little apartment that my parents were able to move into just two weekends ago, and they're accommodating my mother with dementia. As her condition deteriorates, they do have memory care on the same site. We're really, really relieved and happy because we didn't want to split them apart. Splitting them apart would just be devastating for them. Right now, it's still a trial phase. But so far, it seems to be going really well. It's just a really friendly place, very kind, upbeat, positive, that cheerful kind of a nice attitude, and responsive. One of the gals that was helping with the intake is bilingual. She's mixed. She speaks Spanish and my mother speaks Spanish. It was nice having a bilingual connection because my mother feels really comfortable with her home language. So, that made her feel at ease. My father actually visited the facility himself and had a positive experience, so he really liked it. And then it went on the backburner when the pandemic came, and he never followed through. But what was striking to me is they still had the same people working and one of the women recognized his name. I couldn't believe that she actually remembered him. These people care and they stay in their jobs. They must feel a lot of job satisfaction. So, it was striking to me that she could remember someone who wasn't even a client. Their apartment has a small kitchenette. They provide three meals a day and also a la carte meal service all day into the night. So, you really don't need to even have a kitchen. They have a small fridge with a little freezer, microwave, a sink, countertops, shelving, and drawers for kitchen stuff. You can provide a toaster or a toaster oven, if you like. My parents brought their large TV and the people on staff got it set up within the first 2 hours of them moving in. It was pretty efficient. You don't need a washer/dryer because they have on-site laundry facilities that you don't have to pay extra for. You just bring your own laundry soap. It's part of the monthly package. Every week, they get your linens and towels washed, and then you're in charge of your own personal laundry. They gave us guest meal passes the first evening when we moved my mom and dad in, so we've tried their food and it is pretty well balanced. The place is really clean and well maintained. They have all that wellness - mind, body, spirit stuff. They have exercise classes and walking classes. Every day of the week, you can meet at 10:00 to do a half hour of stretching. And then after that, at 10:30, they offer a half hour walk outside when the weather's nice. They have all kinds of clubs and activities, and they have a movie room. They had a Super Bowl party one night and the relatives were invited to go watch. My brother went and watched with my dad. They served fun appetizers and drinks. They do happy hours on Fridays. They had a Valentine's tea that both my mom and dad went to one afternoon. They had live entertainment and fun food. They do a lot of decorating, too. They celebrate everyone's birthdays. Their craft room upstairs is big enough, where it also has a big kitchen area. So, if you like to bake or cook, the residents can do that. I could see people have ongoing puzzles that they're working on. I know they have a little library and they have some wi-fi stations with laptop computers. I do wish that I could see more outdoor gardening and that kind of thing.

We toured Westmont of Brentwood and it was an excellent experience. If you have unlimited funds, that is a place to be. It's like driving up into a Hilton hotel. It's beautiful. It was stunning. I was there after lunch, so they were doing activities. They had music going in the memory care area, and I think they were playing a movie. They have an outdoor area and it gets very warm there, so they have to be very careful about the weather. A lot of times the lady said they lock the outdoor door for them and someone checks on the temperature before they could go out. The rooms were very nice and very spacious. You could have a single room or a shared room. Right across the parking lot is a huge medical plaza, and that was convenient.

We toured Westmont of Brentwood. We liked the room. It was very nicely laid out and it seemed roomier than some of the other ones that we had looked at. However, the place was very quiet. I understand that in this time of COVID, they get locked down because they can't have big outbreaks of COVID, and they had said that. It was just eerily quiet. It just didn't sound at all like a community or anything like that. I didn't have much to do with the staff. Only one person took us around. But she was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very helpful in answering questions. It was a very nice facility, certainly, but sometimes you get a little more bang for your buck. These places are so very expensive that you want to feel like you are definitely in the right place so that you're getting what you hope you're paying for. It was clean and they had a good protocol in place for COVID. But I certainly wouldn't want to be somewhere like that and then be locked in my room or feel that I'm locked in my room.

Westmont of Brentwood was nice, and the facilities were good. However, they're not going to suit me because possibly, I'm going to be on peritoneal dialysis; they will not help me at all with that. It requires special training. The facility was nice and clean. The staff during the tour was very good, and the food was quite nice. Everything was nice.

We toured Westmont of Brentwood. It was a very welcoming place. Everybody was very friendly. They have an open courtyard. The clients there seemed very happy with that location. I like the size of the room. It's a studio room. It was very bright, open, and welcoming, so I just felt very reassured by the care that my mom would get there. They have studios for everybody, but they have larger rooms for couples. For someone who has Alzheimer's or dementia, they could move in with their spouse. They have larger spaces available, so I thought that was a good option. Another thing I like there is that the shower is not in their rooms. They have a separate area where they will take them to bathe them, and I like that because I was worried about my mom trying to take a shower by herself and slipping and falling or something like that. So I like that there. They have a beauty salon right there in the memory care place, so I like that as an option. They have a very nice big open courtyard, and they have like a cage with birds. My mom like birds, so I like that as an option as well. The courtyard is beautiful. We did not try their food, but they offered us a drink. They showed us the menu. My mom is a vegetarian, and they said that they would accommodate her, so I was very happy about that, too.

I saw a studio apartment at Westmont of Brentwood but the rooms weren't as big. The staff who toured me around was very nice. They had a nice welcoming living area in the lobby, and the staff at the front desk were always very welcoming. The dining area was very nice. The residents were exercising when I was there.

Westmont of Brentwood is very nice. If I could go there, I would. Its a beautiful place. The person who toured me was extremely helpful, enthusiastic, friendly, and made me want to move in right away. They had a beautiful dining area, and the food was good. I had a wonderful salad. I met some people who lived there, and I was impressed with them. It was a very positive visit, and I really enjoyed it. The apartment I saw was very spacious and comfortable. I'm used to high ceilings so the low ceilings felt closed in a little bit, but otherwise it was very nice.

Westmont of Brentwood was a nice facility, but their memory care rooms were really tiny, and they didn't have closets. I didn't think that would be appropriate for my mom. They have a good menu system and food available all day. They have activities and the staff was fine. Their dining room was very nice and the grounds were beautiful. They have nice gardens that are very private. The residents can't leave the area when they're in the garden because it's surrounded by buildings. Their memory care is locked, so they're not able to get out. The location is great. It's right down the street from my house.
Dissapointed.

Everything at Westmont of Brentwood was nice. The rooms were a little small but OK. It was very clean, and I liked the location since it was easy to get to and very convenient. They gave me a tour. The dining area was very nice. The customer service was very fantastic, and the lady who I spoke with made the whole thing fantastic. She sat down and talked to me. They were great.

Westmont was very nice. The staff was great, and the tour was given by the chef. It was so well done, and he walked backwards looking at us. We had lunch there, and the food was excellent. My mother loved the food.

Everybody at Westmont of Brentwood seems to be very nice. I don't have any complaints so far, and my father seems to be adjusting well, so I am very happy at this point. It is considered an apartment and has a front room, kitchenette, and bedroom. He does not have a roommate at this point, but there eventually will be a roommate put into the front room area. I know that they do some kind of a memory brain class where they sit down and answer questions to stimulate their minds, and play Bingo.

I've only visited one and have pretty much chosen Westmont of Brentwood. Their apartments seemed really nice and larger than I expected. The few people that I talked to seemed to be very happy. Their services were pretty much like everybody else's, so it will be fine. I'll only be 10 minutes away from my son and daughter-in-law, which was one of the main reasons I picked it.

We went with Westmont of Brentwood. They are amazing. The people are really good, understanding, and compassionate. They know everyone in the facility and are really hands-on. We feel like we certainly are getting our money’s worth. The rooms are nice, certainly large enough, and they keep them clean. The stuff they are doing in memory care has been fabulous. They will definitely give you peace of mind about your family member.

I looked at Westmont of Brentwood. It’s assisted living and a memory care unit also. The facilities were very nice. My dad has a dog, but he wouldn’t be able to bring it to that place. I think they allow a really little dog, but my dad has a small lab. It was a very nice facility, but my dad is not ready for that yet. I think it would be a 4 if I were looking for that type of care.

I think Westmont was very nice, lovely, and the people were awesome, but it was just not the right time to move in. The staff was excellent. The apartment I looked at was nice and spacious. The food was lovely. There’s help for getting to doctors' appointments for Dad.

Westmont of Brentwood is a large spacious community. It is very modern, and very well-kept. In the memory care unit alone, they have three different dining options that they rotate the residents through to keep them stimulated. Within the first week, they knew my parents by name, and they knew what they like as far as the beverage at their table. It is just very impressive thus far. My mom thinks the food is very good, and that’s after five years of living in this type of residence. My mom has a studio, and my dad is in a companion suite in memory care, which is one of the major considerations. I needed a community that they both could live in. I’m there quite often, and there always seems to be something going on. They have exercise, and they have story-telling. They seem to be very engaged with the residents. Thus far, I’m extremely pleased. They have been very diligent in getting connected with my dad’s doctor, and involved in his care. My parents have been there for less than a month now.

Westmont of Brentwood is a beautiful facility. All the employees were very sharp and they gave us a very good explanation during our visit. The pricing was competitive. I think we would have placed my aunt in this community if she would have come to California.

The apartments in Westmont were very nice but older, and they don’t have washers and dryers in them. The staff is nice enough, but I didn’t get that warm feeling. When you go in, they have a long desk with 3 of four people sitting there, and you have to check in there before you go further in the facility. I had to go quite a way to get to my friend’s apartment. I was just not impressed, and I didn’t get quite the homey feeling. My friend who lives there liked it there though. They seemed to have a full range of activities based on the booklet they gave me. They also had a place for people who are dying.

We are looking at placing my mother-in-law at Westmont of Brentwood because she has some dementia, and they are actually building a memory care wing there We didn’t eat there, but we did meet the cook, and we saw the menu and smelled the food. We were able to see the apartments, and they are very lovely, large, light, and bright. They had a board of activities and posted the things going on that day. They had exercise activities. They had a balance class for how to keep your balance. Everybody was very polite and very helpful. I would highly rate this facility, and in fact, I would love to move in there. The staff seemed very polite to the elderly people. It really seemed to have a very nice atmosphere.
