The State of Nevada and Las Vegas’ Clark County offer a wide variety of programs for seniors, many of which can help with financial assistance. The state’s Medicaid can help with assisted living costs, as well as the Personal Care Services (PCS) program and a Home and Community Based Waiver which helps with assisted living costs.

The cost of assisted living has risen due to inflation across the United States, and Las Vegas is no exception. Seniors in Las Vegas can expect to pay about 16.5% more in 2024 than they did in 2022 for assisted living services, an increase in line with the national average. Statewide, seniors have seen an increase of 9.8% in their assisted living fees. Projected increases in Reno are similar to those seen in Las Vegas. Across the border in Riverside, CA, projected fees also increased by 16.5%, as did those in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
