Some things they can help with include disagreements with staff, billing errors, neglect, financial exploitation, facility cleanliness and poor quality of care. Collier County Veteran Services(239) 252-8387The Collier County Veterans Services team provides eligibility assessments for pensions, disability-related compensation, burial benefits, survivor's benefits and other benefits residents might be entitled to receive. The team can assist seniors with applying for benefits they're eligible for. It also provides information about the VA health care system and referrals to mental health services for veterans suffering from common conditions such as depression and PTSD.
Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP)(239) 252-4230RSVP is a national program that provides volunteer opportunities to seniors 55 and up. Some ways seniors can serve include mentoring youth, counseling other older adults, teaching nutrition classes and participating in disaster preparation and recovery efforts.
Naples Senior Center(239) 235-4444The Naples Senior Center invites people 60 and up to enjoy a variety of games, educational classes and activities designed to help them stay healthy as they age. It also offers a number of social services programs, including low-cost emotional support therapy, caregiver respite and case management for seniors living at home.
