Its long-term care ombudsman visits local assisted living facilities to ensure they adhere to state-mandated guidelines related to cleanliness, quality of care and staffing. The ombudsman also helps residents of long-term care facilities to resolve interpersonal problems and fields and investigates reports of resident abuse, neglect and exploitation. |
