My grandfather moved into Family Loving Kare S3. They do everything from bathing and showering to feeding. The staff members are wonderful, very attentive and on top of it. They're very family-oriented, so they're super nice to us, as well as my grandfather. It is a house, so the rooms are not ginormous. The main area is a lot bigger where they come together and eat. The living room is spacious. They can sit out there and visit. Everything is very well kept. The living atmosphere is very warm. They always decorate for every single holiday, which is fun. The facility owner lives right behind the facility, so she's always present. They try to make sure they have juice or water for them. They try to rotate the food to give them a variety. They have an outdoor sitting area where the residents can go out if they like. They can watch TV or read if they want.

I toured Family Loving Kare S3. It's a home that's been converted. It was very good, and the staff was very, very nice and helpful in giving me a tour of the home. They had some activities. They had a dining room. They had their private room and they had a backyard where you could go sit outside. They had laundry and they made all the meals. It was a very homey place. They only had a few people there because it's not a large place.

Family Loving Kare S3 was clean and orderly. The staff was very friendly. They did not have any type of social activities planned for their residents, and I thought that was a little off-putting. You would think they would try to have a social engagement for the residents, but they didn't have a lot. The staff who toured me around, I thought she was great. They have a common and private rooms with televisions and internet. It wasn't anything spectacular. It was average.

I've visited Family Loving Kare S3. Everyone looked to be taken care of, but my feeling was that the only availability was substandard. The room was very small, it was very dark, and the paint was peeling off the walls. There's nothing good about it, so I wouldn't have put anyone there. But some of the rooms that we saw were great. We saw some rooms that were beautiful, well-decorated, and fine. This looked just like they had an extra room. So just to get somebody else in there, they were going to have somebody come in, so it wouldn't work for our purposes. The staff was very nice and caring, they seemed to be busy taking care of the residents that were there. We didn't try the food, but we saw the menu, and they had really good menus. And the people said that the food was really good, there were still some ladies sitting around the table, and they said that the food was good. They posted the menus so you could see exactly what was going to be coming up for the week. They had a nice TV and some people were watching TV while they were eating at tray tables. They said that they bathe the patients or the residents two times a week, which is good, and they have someone that does their hair and takes care of their nails and they give them manicures.

My dad moved into Family Loving Kare S3 last month. It seems fine. It's clean. They're really sweet to the residents. They bathe him. They make sure that he gets fed, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They keep him clean. He seems to be doing well. Everything looks fine. The staff is precious, very sweet. They've been very loving. They get them out. They have snacks, they can watch TV. As far as big activities, I think since it's a small home, there's not all, and some of the patients seem rather involved as far as their care. I don't think there's a lot of room for activities, but there are televisions available. They can come out of their rooms whenever they want to. They can visit with other residents. I think there are only about 10 residents maximum in the place. It's a very small home, but it's very comfortable. They decorate for the holidays, and they make sure everybody gets to see the pretty things for the holidays.

I've used FLK twice to help with my brother, once while he went through rehab and 3 years later for hospice. Both times he received just what the name says "family-like loving kare," and our family has been very thankful for FLK's kind and professional assistance. We always had quick responses to any questions, and they carried through on any promises made. While these situations are hard, one relief we had was knowing we could not have done better in selecting a home for my brother.

I was very impressed with Family Loving Kare S3. I would have gone with them for my husband. They did not know I was coming. When I got there they hadn't been expecting me, but they recovered quite quickly and I was treated just very nicely, was shown everything I asked about and then some. I was hoping they would invite me for lunch because it smelled so good, but they did not. They were just as nice as they could've been. It was very clean, and when I was there there were two people visiting each of their families. They were quite forward in saying how pleased they were with their people being there. They were very comfortable with it. The staff member did a marvelous recovery; the fact that she was not expecting me. She didn't seem to be having to think of things to show me. She had not only pride in her work there, but in accomplishments, and the people that work for them. It's very nice and very homey. There were people having naps in the living room. Everybody there looked comfortable to be there. There was a lady playing solitaire on the kitchen table.

My mother has been in this facility for over one year now and I feel they do a wonderful job there. The staff is so nice and friendly, my mother seems happy and she always looks well cared for no matter when we stop by for a visit. She has a beautiful room that is always clean and refreshing looking. The staff work very closely with the doctors and nurses to give the best care possible.

I went at Life Sonoran Homes and I saw that the rooms are too small for the residents and I felt bad about that. When I go through and look around, I didn’t like what I saw. It just made me so sad.

My husband was in Life Sonoran about six weeks. I don't know whether it was the medication, but he got very combative there. He was in the hospital about a week. The facility wouldn't take him back because they said he couldn't feed himself, and that's not true. He's eating very well now. He's weak, but they led me to believe the week that he was in there that he would be coming back. He was just very unhappy there. He wouldn't eat, and they tried to put him on something to spark his appetite, and then I think that he had a reaction because he's never been mean before. They have three different levels of care. The first home is where they're not as bad. I feel like I don't want to be too negative about it, but I'm greatly relieved that he's in the home he is now. Sometimes, things just work out for the best.

This facility is three homes on three acres just south of Tucson. The homes are nice and the landscaping beautiful with rock formations, cactus, and greenery. The views of the surrounding area and mountain views is beautiful. There is also lots of small wildlife around. They have been open three and a half years. They are a nonprofit facility. These homes are licensed for ten residents each. They are private and semi--private rooms. All are handicapped equipped. The homes are clean and nicely decorated. They do all home cooking and have very good food with a nice variety. They do housekeeping and laundry. They all have nice shaded porches and yards with walking areas. There is a pool and jacuzzi. They have patios with bbq areas. They do all three levels of care. Most residents are dementia and Alzheimer. They have two doctors that come in. The owner is an LPN going to RN school. They have a geriatric nurse who comes in. The caregivers are all certified and they have med techs. They have nurses on call 24/7. They do transport to appointments. The staff and atmosphere is loving and caring. They have lots of activities as one on one arts and crafts, games, bbqs and parties. They do exercises. The library will deliver books. They do nails, hair, and massages. They go for outings as resident level of health allows. The third home is just opening and they hope to have this home filled with residents who have a higher level of functioning. These facilities are very nice and desirable.
